Breaking news.....Great!

Before anyone rushes to vote labour be very aware that they plan to slash the amount you can inherit presently the tax free amount you can inherit from parents is over £400,000 for 2 parents they plan to slash it to £250,000 thus parents who leave an expensive home will mean the government will take most of it

Well this is inaccurate but even if it were true, I don't disagree with it. If you want your kids to inherit, give your money to them while you are alive. And you only pay 40% tax on what's left over the threshold, so you are still getting a very generous chunk - the tax free amount plus 60% of what's left.

DarlingNikita · 24/09/2019 12:33

Spartacus, So why did she pick that one

(Female) spiders are badass. You don't mess with them. Also, 'What a tangled web we weave...'.

StealthPussy · 24/09/2019 12:40

Black widow puts Hulk in his place. Marvellous!

cdtaylornats · 24/09/2019 12:41

Lots of crap about holding Boris to account from the other parties but nothing about Brexit.

Pollydocket · 24/09/2019 12:47

Female spiders eat the male do they not?

She ate him alive! Go lady go!

Bluntness100 · 24/09/2019 12:48

The more I think about it the more I think he can't survive this.

He simply won't be able to get anything through parliament, they will vote always against him. He's already 43 short of a majority. Now they all hate him.

He is properly fucked. He either has to resign or they will vote no confidence. But only after the extension request. He won't now try to get round the law on the extension, he knows the courts will find against him and the Supreme Court will send someone to get it.

Maybe he will seek the extension then they vote no confidence. Even if he got a deal, the house won't pass it.

I really think it's game over for Boris.

absopugginglutely · 24/09/2019 12:49

Baroness Hale is my new hero!
❤️
Thank god that there still seems to be a shred of democracy/ justice in this country.
I was beginning to lose ALL hope!

megletthesecond · 24/09/2019 12:50

I'm afraid I think Johnson will brazen this out.

megletthesecond · 24/09/2019 12:51

Although I'm hanging onto bluntness and crossing my fingers.

SpringFan · 24/09/2019 12:54

Sadly, I think he will brazen it out as well. But maybe there might be a vote of noconfidence now.
However Labour are working very hard on making themselves unelectable.
Where are we going

Patroclus · 24/09/2019 12:56

Enjoy our great british 'sovrintiy' and democracy, brexiters, and see what happens when you follow a man who's plan belongs to Steve fucking slimer Bannon...

Patroclus · 24/09/2019 12:58

And lets not have this overshadow his other act of corruption in the news.

Bluntness100 · 24/09/2019 13:00

They might go for the vote of no confidence and then put in place an emergency government with either Clarke or harmen leading it. Whomever leads it would then seek the extension, plan a referendum and then a general election and walk away after.

I just struggle to see how Boris can survive this. He's making no statements and he's just went into the Un, and ignored journalists.

HouseworkAvoider10 · 24/09/2019 13:01

He will never resign.
Ever.
I have a horrible feeling he's here with us to stay, like Thatcher was.
For more than 10 years.

leli · 24/09/2019 13:01

Thank the goddesses, including Baroness Hale.

This ruling recognises that prime ministers (the Executive) cannot just silence Parliament at whim. What would have been next? Johnson calls in the troops? So the judiciary, who were unanimous, have held onto parliamentary democracy for all of us.

& speaker Bercow has reconvened Parliament, beginning tomorrow.

So the Tories will have to cancel their conference and Labour must attempt to manage some leadership and strategy.

Bluetrews25 · 24/09/2019 13:02

He might try to brazen it out, but teflon wears off even the best pan at some point.

TakemedowntoPotatoCity · 24/09/2019 13:03

In the words of Mr. Cube, Today Was A Good Day.

Helmetbymidnight · 24/09/2019 13:06

Ha!

Brexiteers exploding all over FB: 'Hold firm Boris. She's American anyway(?) Heartbreaking. What every happened to democracy'
Etc. etc.

Bowerbird5 · 24/09/2019 13:06

Cinnamoncakethink you’ve cracked it.

Oh wait till I speak to DH tonight!

absopugginglutely · 24/09/2019 13:07

Has this embarrassed the queen?

ashleylamp · 24/09/2019 13:07

Bercow is having a massive wank.

Butchyrestingface · 24/09/2019 13:09

Bercow is having a massive wank.

Theresa May must be on an odyssey of self pleasure then. Not a tweet out of her for nearly a month.

Venger · 24/09/2019 13:17

Right at this moment Theresa May is probably splitting her sides laughing while dancing a jig and flicking the Vs at news coverage of Johnson's big stupid face.

Just heard him on the news saying he doesn't agree with the ruling. And that everyone is trying to stop Brexit. So yes, he's trying to brazen it out and showing zero humility or remorse.
