Reminded on the YouTube thread about an old TV programme I loved as a kid / preteen James The Cat! Got me all nostalgic thinking of others, does anyone remember these?! My faves:

Sea view - with a young Yvette Feilding about a girl who's mam and dad owned a B&B! I was so jealous of her!!
Johnny Briggs! - very relatable as very Northern!
Grange Hill - obvs!
Chocky - but it did scare the shit out of me!
Run around with Mike Reid!
Why don't you? - So desperate to be on it!
The Flumps - was too old but iirc it was on early afternoon so will have been off school sick!! Particularly loved the girl on skates!
Huxley Pig - again too old but loved the theme tune
Cockle shell bay - too cute!
Penny Crayon
Finger mouse - or was it bobs? - the man scared me slightly - v.v. Hairy!!

What were yours?

Does anybody remember On The Waterfront? Berni Nolan, Andrew O'Connor, Kate Copstick and Terry Randall. Was that even 80s or early 90s? Nobody ever seem to have any memory of it, but I loved it.

Champion the Wonder Horse on a Saturday Morning.

Saturday evening was the football results to do the pools, wrestling with Big Daddy followed by Dr Who where I normally hid behind my dad if the Daleks were in it.

Every stop I make, I make a new friend.

Maybe tomorrow, I'll want to settle down ..."

I loved Heartbeat, Mossiclover, and it was very popular with children. I've seen all episodes again on ITV3.

igotdemons · 11/09/2019 08:25

This is great, used to watch most of these as an 80’s and 90’s kid! ☺️ I don’t think anyone has mentioned Count Duckula yet - ‘Nannnnnnny!’ I used to love that! 🧛‍♂️

Also remembered as a primary school child, watching ‘Through the Dragon’s Eye’ in class and loving the mystery of it! I watched it again years ago on YouTube and it brought back lots of memories ☺️

Willow the Wisp
Rentaghost
A.L.F
Metal Mickey (my little fruit-bat)
Fraggle Rock
The Muppet Show
Dogtanian and the three

Not sure if these count as kids TV but they were certainly on at ‘family friendly’ times

The A-team
Dukes of Hazzard
Knight Rider
Air Wolf

I've just remembered Top Cat., not sure it's been mentioned yet.

I absolutely loved it!

AnOojamaflip · 11/09/2019 14:26

Also, there was some game show. Children were contestants. At the end they had to cross a grid, if they got it wrong the fell through the grid and were lost forever.

Can't recall it's name though!!

That's it!! Thanks 16:38tommyshaircut. I don't recall that name at all - and it's hardly that obscure!!

OnceUponAMidnightBeery · 11/09/2019 21:10

I had the audio book of Tottie, Story of a Dolls House, and I loved it, but always fast forwarded the sad bit Blush

Have just bought Children of Green Knowe on DVD, thanks to the pp who mentioned it. That's my Christmas viewing sorted!
