Being nosey...How many people have you slept with?

I've recently had my first ever one night stand after after breaking my virginity at 14 (young I know) and alot of short lived relationships with sex after a few weeks.
Just wrote my list and was surprised that I've slept with 16 men! That seems alot for someone who hadn't had a one night stand until a few months ago!

No. 1 became DH1.
No. 2 occurred shortly after I married DH1 and became DH2.
No. 3 occured shortly after I married DH2. DH2 is not aware of no. 3 though and we've now been married 23 years.

Loads. I lost count after uni. Had a long spell with just DH but then we got divorced. Since then I have had sex with two FWB and this suits me fine. I'm in touch with quite a few of them too.

7th - third, current (and final!) love

I went 6 years celibate between 6th and 7th, didn't bother me most of the time. For me, sex is 10 times better if you love the person x

2nd was a one-day stand (met online purely for sex, as awful as that is).

Can I ask ... there are a lot of women on this thread who say they regret their one night stand(s) - why is that?

Not being goody- just genuinely don’t relate to a sense of regret (although I do look back on some less joyfully than others, I don’t regret any of it).

Can anyone explain why they feel this way?

@TheSheepofWallSt. I had a couple of ONS and regret both of them. One because I had a boyfriend at the time and had a ONS because I was drunk. The other time I regretted it because the sex was shit.

4 in the ten years since I lost my virginity, two 4/5 year relationships, a short fling with the guy I lost my virginity to and my wonderful FWB who I met after breaking up with my first proper boyfriend. I'm mid twenties now. I wish I had been less inhibited when I was young and single, I had some pretty fucked up ideas about chastity being a desirable trait for women. Both the men I was with for a long time raped me.

I regret all of my ons due to feeling used, i know I used them as much as they used me but I felt empty and unhappy after each event, a couple of times to the point of tears. I learnt that I need an emotional connection to enjoy sex, I need intimacy.
If DP and I split I would only have sex again within a committed relationship.

TheSheepofWallSt I regret mine, because sex without feelings isn't for me, and although it was purely sex for both of us so nobody lied or anything it made me feel more lonely than I did before.

I'm not critical of ONS for anyone else, they're just not for me.

I honestly don't know. It's more than 50 but I think less than 60.

All but one of them were ONS, casual flings or FWB's.
All between the ages of 17 and 34 when I got together with my husband.

DH was one of the later ones when we had a fling, but there was at least 2 more after him before we finally settled down together.

I enjoy sex, wouldn't cheat in a million years, but do feel sad sometimes that I'm never going to have sex with anyone new again.

DH has had less than 10.
