I’ve grown all my pubic hair back and I love it!

Sorry I know this is a weird post, but I’m 31 and have a full bush for the first time since I was 14, and I need to talk about it.
I started shaving pretty much as soon as I had hair, I was sexually active at 14, and despite a lot of professed feminism I had clearly internalised something about a need to remove my public hair. I’ve been bare or maybe the odd strip ever since 14.

A couple of weeks ago I somehow flicked the telly over onto Naked Attraction (what the hell is that show?!) and noticed a whole line up of totally pubicly bald women, and had such a strong reaction. We’re adult women! We’re meant to have hair! What was I doing? So I’ve left it all to grow back and honestly it feels so good. It’s all soft and nice and I feel weirdly sexy, how did I never realise before?

All women should absolutely do what they want with their own bodies and their own hair, I’ve argued long and hard for why I shaved, so please don’t take this as a judgement, but as an adult woman with my natural hair for the first time ever, I’m feeling so liberated and just wanted to share!

Women have pubic hair as a sign of sexual maturity.

I had pubic hair and periods when I was 9. Hmm

Oblomov19 · 18/06/2019 20:12

Never done that much to mine. Never all off. Zero pain, no waxing. Always from an early age kept it neat, a trim, Beard trimmer? Tamed it a bit. Always been happy with that.

OkPedro · 21/06/2019 01:01

Yes soola because you had started puberty. You weren’t fully sexually mature. Surely there’s a difference between a young girl in early puberty and a 30 year old woman 🙄

If you have periods and pubic hair then you are not in early puberty een at 9. Neither of those things are signs of starting puberty. You are potentially ovulating during your cycle and could become pregnant. You wouldn't be ready for that of course, emotionally or psychologically.

I'm a bit late to this thread op but like you, I have shaved my pubic hair (landing strip or all off) for 19 years since I was a teen. I've never been an adult with a full bush.

However,

Over the last few weeks have decided to stop shaving and start growing a bush. I have to say, I feel womanly!

I'm not quite there yet but the growth is both odd and womanly at the same time!

Never have shaved. And never will. Any man that has a problem with it can quite frankly piss off.

Opposite here! Hollywood since late teens now 40s. Even been asked to grow it on occasion (and refused). Any man who has a problem with that can piss off in my book.

And before anyone comments otherwise, being a “ bald eagle” does not make me any less of a feminist than the next woman.

BeRealViewer · 27/04/2024 20:22

Do any women leave their bush completely unkempt (meaning no shaving, trimming, waxing, threading, etc.)? Unkemp has nothing to do with being dirty or unclean down there. I would expect most women keep themselves clean down there but I’m just asking about are there any women that keep it completely unkempt (as described above)? The question is for women who go at least 6 months with absolutely no maintenance in any way, shape or form—except keeping it cleaned and bathed. If so, does it get unruly, out of control and very hairy….. yet, you still let it grow and be in its natural state. I’d appreciate any women responding that leave it unkempt and tell me why you keep it that way?

Women didn’t really get rid of pubic hair until the advent of internet porn. Hence a lot of women 40 and over still have hair.

Yeah - I still think bald looks weird. On both sexes! Luckily, I've never met a hairless schlong in the flesh but (obviously) have seen loads of 'em on screen. I can appreciate a nice cock'n'balls, I just really dislike them curated. Didn't like my vulva hairless or stubbly, either, though I used to have a landing-strip wax when I was swimming a lot.

Viva La Bush! And Le Bush 😂

[edited to clarify I don't have a dick!]

Its natural length is limited, it's not like head hair that keeps growing! Even if it grows straight, it tends to curl because of being compressed by underwear.

It's just my view. It just looks wrong and I can't be intimate with someone who is bald down there. I just can't. Women have pubic hair as a sign of sexual maturity. Why would you wnat to remove it.

I could understand this logic if someone retains their underarm and leg hair too. Otherwise l think it’s flawed.

Men’s face hair shows maturity too. Most remove that.

Pubic epilation took place in Ancient Rome and Ancient Greek bathhouses. It’s nothing new.

So what?

Fashions come and go. In any case, their male nudes had pubic hair. The women had blank, featureless vulvas.
