No, but DH worked on a project with someone who had an affair with him during one of his marriages, so I met her for dinner a couple of times. (I mean, we weren’t chatting about this over the starter — it had been all over the press because of an injunction, so it was common knowledge.) She seemed quite normal in a Sloaney, jet-setty sort of way. Drank like a fish, though, which might explain it...

Definitely not. But Dh once had to work at event where John Major was speaking when PM and said all the women were swooning. Still find that quite hard to get my head round though.

No but i did meet him once at a work do. He definitely gave me a look over and Im pretty sure I was not the only one. He is charismatic and funny though.

Family friend met him at some kind of benefit/do in Liverpool (family friend works in not-for-profit sector for disadvantaged teens, also volunteers with adults with learning difficulties). He's a local and a Liverpool fan born and bred and this was post-Anfield shaming but pre-enquiry results (so clearly has a +ve impression of Burnham prior to the encounter).

Anyway apparently he was quite unpleasant; arrogant and egotistical, bordering on the rude. Disinterested unless there was something in it for himself.

Family friend is one of those lovely people who I genuinely have not heard say a bad word about anyone.

I was a real Andy Burnham fan so I really hope he was just having an off day when this happened.

I have met Jezza in person and he was lovely, he really listens to what you have to say and engages with it. He also has twinkly eyes and a great sense of humour.
