The twaddle continues ......

John Mulligan
Plenty of screenshots here to give you an idea.

He's another very sexy bad boy!
And he has a great way of making you wish you were a fork! (I don't think i've seen anyone else use a fork so seductively!)

Theresaholeinyourmind · 11/11/2010 13:52

Ooooh thank you, cornish. More files for the Library! Fork, glove, what could be next?

Theresaholeinyourmind · 11/11/2010 14:37

Research tells me Flowers was right about the buttonless shirt photo, it looks as if it's a publicity shot for Cold Feet which was 2003.

Lots of information like that at cornish's lavish new resource.

cornishpasty · 11/11/2010 14:43

Plenty of info & pics on that site.
Should keep you all busy for a while.
Can't think of a better way to pass time (unless the real thing appeared in person of course!) Grin

MrsLucasNorth · 11/11/2010 15:44

There are so many lovely photos of Lucas on ebay, I had a bit of a lump in my throat.

When I see those pics of him being all suave and heroic I can't believe that John Bateman was the real him iykwim? He would have lived 5 years of his adult life as John, and 15 as Lucas - so he must be more good than bad.

Sad
MrsLucasNorth · 11/11/2010 15:46

I think I need to do some creative writing to cheer myself up...Wink!

Theresaholeinyourmind · 11/11/2010 15:53

Mrs LN we need Fettle to tell us about Alternate Universes. In my opinion that was Spooks season 9, It took place in a darker universe other than our own, where Lucas/John had turned bad because of something that happened there, but not here.
In that universe seasons 7 and 8 would have been different and he's have been bad all through.
The writers just switched to the wrong universe, in other words, and what we saw didn't happen here as such.
So Lucas is really all good if with an attractive line in angst. You should write it.

Fettle · 11/11/2010 16:15

An interesting idea Theresa. I feel this link may explain it better than I couldConfused

I would just baffle you with my use of long words!Hmm

Fettle · 11/11/2010 16:16

MrsLN. Who's up tonight then?! Surely there are no more hours left in his day?!Grin

Bodenbabe · 11/11/2010 16:25

I haven't seen Series 7 & 8 yet but even I, only having seen S9, find it hard to accept John Bateman as the real Lucas. So it must be even more implausible for those of you who've seen it from the start. I think I'm going to find it odd when we get round to seeing Lucas for the 1st time, knowing what we know now. DH and I are on S2, for the record - want to watch it chronologically but bascially hanging out for S7 :) Have to say, I LOVE the show, it's been ages since I've got so much pleasure from a TV show.

Right, MiniBoden is banging on about using the PC so see you later, ladies. Keep up the revision...

(ps. I giggled at your Spanish Inquisition jk, Flowers :) )

MrsLucasNorth · 11/11/2010 16:32

Fettle - I'll be sending Guy to bed tonight (minus t-shirt, as requested Grin).

Think it's Stripey's turn next (especially as I got her and Boden confused in the last chapter - sorry ladies).

Then perhaps I might have go, unless anyone else wants to volunteer themselves for a part in the meantime.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 11/11/2010 16:34

Didn't Einstein prove that time was relative, Fettle? The Thornton-Northeren day can be longer than a normal one.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 11/11/2010 17:05

That link was great incidentally, Fettle. I shall put it in my favourites.
I have read lots of comments about the weird shift in Lucas' character in series 9. So it shoudln't be too difficult to start from the end of season 8, if that's when he was till okay, and write what we think should have happened, re character development, etc. I don't know if any of season 9's actual plot is salvageable as I haven't seen it. But come on! We can do this. We owe it to Lucas

Bodenbabe · 11/11/2010 17:27

Re. the Thornton-Northern day, well on Venus a day is longer than a year so maybe we could look into that sort of arrangement...

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 11/11/2010 18:49

Thank you, Bodenbabe, for laughing at my joke about the . And thank you, Fettle, for again raising the academic tone with the theoretical physics.

And yes, Cupcakes is chancellor - I was momentarily getting my academic terminology in a twist. Even more hilarious than the Armitage tat on sale is the, ahem, unusual selection of gifts which people have sent him (there's a thank you list on one of the fan sites). It wasn't anyone here who sent him a knitted Guy of Gisborne was it?

That is exactly the fine piece of classical sculpture I had in mind for my own artwork, Theresa. I would have posted a picture yesterday but was afraid that some of the students might react inappropriately. (Yes, MrsLN, I'm thinking of you and your plans to use The Cravat in a Lewd Fashion).

John Mulligan does look promising, if only because he smiles (something of a rarity in the Armitage personae, n'est-ce caff?)

As we are being so learned, perhaps we should hear a ?

OP posts:
Bodenbabe · 11/11/2010 19:59

Well if we one is looking for smiles then I really think Harry from Vicar of Dibley is the man to look to. I know it's not our kind of quality drama but he is utterly swoonsome.
The cuddly jumpers are a nice counterpoint to the usual black leather...

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 11/11/2010 20:13

It is true that Harry has a lovely smile, but I find that whole episode just too cheesy. Especially the bit where he turns towards the camera and his teeth gleam. It's all too pretending to be Hugh Grant.

But this is an opportunity to add . Note the cravat.

What is Moving On? How do I not know about it?? Thank you for that link Cornish, I see many more hours ahead of me on you tune Grin.

After the day I've had, an installment for me would be most, most welcome Mrs LN

StripeyMoon · 11/11/2010 20:36

Flowers I agree about the gleaming teeth bit but the rest of it - I could just eat him!!

Can you wait for a Friday night special Stripey? Dh is in for the 1st time this week and I probably should transfer my attentions for a few hours Grin

Will be pondering though....any special requests?!

StripeyMoon · 11/11/2010 20:56

StripeyMoon · 11/11/2010 20:57
