Thank you to the lovely poster who started a thread attempting to further embarrass me. Sadly, it was deleted. So here I am.. AMA!

You definitely aren't the only one, OP! I've seen it quite a few times.

TheTimeIsNowMaybeNow · 23/03/2024 16:42

People on here can be so fucking rude

Yay, there’s more of us. I shall call us the ‘rest-biters’

MolkosTeenageAngst · 23/03/2024 16:45

What thread did you wright rest-bite on?

DarkAndBright · 23/03/2024 16:45

What do you like to eat when taking a well-earned rest?

SpamFritterSandwich · 23/03/2024 16:47

People can be so rude. Who hasn't made a mistake...... Anyway a rest bite sounds very nice. I'll take two.
Good on you for laughing about it. So much classier than pointing out others errors.

tracktrail · 23/03/2024 16:47

Do you own chester draws OP?

I think you're great by the way, obviously a sense of humour, ignore twats...you can learn spelling, they will always be twats.

What thread did you wright rest-bite on?

Yes, I should have quoted my seminal piece. It’s about a poster who is away with her DN on holiday and is finding it tricky.

Well played OP. At least you have a sense of humour unlike the tool who created a thread about you.

Not sure what that poster was hoping to gain 🤷‍♀️

Nothing wrong with getting SPAG wrong. Many intelligent and funny people have ropey SPAG - My DH included!

I think you're awesome @MummaMummaJumma In fact, you deserve to be put on a pedal-stool. 😁

SabreIsMyFave · 23/03/2024 17:09

Also, fookey nell! Someone started a thread to further embarrass you? WTAF?WHY? Sad

TempleOfBloom · 23/03/2024 17:12

I quite like rest bite because it describes what respite is.

I also like ‘wrestler’s night’ for when people have been tossing and turning.

Do you use any other misheard but apt spellings, OP?

Oh probably loads tbf. Can’t think of any at the moment, but I’m sure my time on MNs will highlight those for me lol.

How do you plan to atone for
a) forcing other posters to make patronising corrections and thus derail the original thread
and
b) having a sense of humour?
Eh? Eh?

Oh sorry. I love a malted milk, which I’ve always called a ‘cow biscuit’. With tea 🤤

Whoever tried to escape goat you in their TAAT is an utter tool.

Do you like green eggs and naice ham?

MallorcaNights · 23/03/2024 17:20

Good for you for owning it and not saying it was a typo or “damn autocorrect” Grin

PuppyMonkey · 23/03/2024 17:20

I used to be a foster carer and occasionally did respite care for other carers who were going on holiday/ going to hospital or whatever for a week or two and couldn’t look after the young person for a bit . I’d say that every child we looked after thought they were in “rest-bite!” I think it’s a fabulous mistake tbh.

FloofCloud · 23/03/2024 17:23

No idea about then other thread but don't make arseholes in here make you feel bad - Shakespeare spelt things wrong, even his own name he spelled differently on different things sometimes!
... saying that if you have a chester draws in your home, you're dead to me 😜
