My 4 year old has declared that he knows everything. Ask him anything and he will bestow on you his wisdom and knowledge.

A special squirrel Father Christmas! Thank you very much to your son.

I think he’s right, he does know everything! How useful that must be.

PutinSmellsPassItOn · 18/11/2023 19:44

Why did the chicken cross the road ?

WiddlinDiddlin · 18/11/2023 19:58

He sounds fab!

I am working today, answering peoples questions about their puppies.

One lady has asked me this:

'My puppy is scared if left alone, what do I do when I have to go out, she is only 8 weeks old'...

I wonder if he'll tell her the same as I did!

Also today:

'How much will my puppy weigh when they're fully grown. They are a crossbreed.'

(Mmm!)

What a wonderful boy. I love that sharks don’t have bones and the depth of topics he’s happy with, he’s brilliant !!
please do this another day too as you won’t regret having it all written down to look back on and it is a delightful thread to be able to share his wondrous answers

Fabulous, get him to do the next AMA 😃

@Dillane you may regret saying that 😂 He genuinely is mad as a box of frogs. I'll try and remember to give it a go though. Could be a laugh!

He is very curious about the world and, I think, a very kind and thoughtful young man. I'm very proud of him.

I've been having a bit of a hard time recently with a baby who doesn't sleep and huge feelings of guilt that I'm not being a great mum to either of them. Having so many interesting conversations with my boy today has given me so much joy.

Thank you everyone for being part of what will be a forever memory for us. To the person upthread who asked if mumsnet is a force of good or evil, I'll answer that one: it's very much a force of good.

It is news to me that he knows willies have anything to do with making babies. His preoccupation with robbers, and thinking that hoovering would be easier than napping made me laugh. Oh what a joy and privilege it is to be a parent.

I love this age. He sounds a delight and a credit to you. I know there's low points, there's hard days, there's guilt but read this thread when you need a pick me up.
Thank you for making me smile.
I'd like to know his favourite biscuit? Mines a jaffa cake, yes it's a biscuit, I keep them with my biscuits 😂

CaptainMyCaptain · 18/11/2023 20:54

What a wonderfully uplifting thread this has been to read. I'm sorry to hear how you have been feeling recently - but your son's replies and his curiosity about the world is testament to you and his father at what a great job you are doing as parents. This window of time is very brief: be kind to yourself and continue enjoying your babies. Thank you for sharing the wisdom. 💐

Longdarkcloud · 19/11/2023 16:22

Thank you OP, it has been a joy reading this thread. How amazing that in such a short time a knowledgable little personality has emerged. Your home has provided him with a nurturing and loving family nest. Have a great Christmas. Maybe the squirrel will visit with a decorated nut.

tallsmallmum · 19/11/2023 16:32

did the Lego head container thing in my room move on it's own coz I don't recall moving it? crossing into woo here

and he sounds adorable it's not often a child other than mine strikes a chord with me but he already has 🥰

Lifeomars · 19/11/2023 17:36

I have enjoyed this so much, your boy sounds like so much fun even though he advised me that hoovering is easy! Reading it brought back memories of when my child was that age and would come out with the most random and funny things. Keeping and printing it is a lovely idea. There was no internet when i was a young mum but I did keep a diary and write down some of the things my child said and I do like reading them.

AMuser · 19/11/2023 21:39

What a joyful joyful thread. Much love to your family. Thank you
