Just that really, I'm in a polyamorous relationship with two men, when I meet people in real life they always want to ask me questions so I thought I'd cast the net a bit wider and open the floor on the web :)

How do you explain the relationship to your kids and any friends of theirs that visit? (not a judging question just curious)

Is there any jealousy between them?

Do the kids find it an issue to explain to their friends when they come round?

How does it work with sex, do you have set days for each man and when having sex with Fred (obviously not his name) does Harold (again made up name) go somewhere else or stay in the same bed ?

This sounds like an ideal set up for an asexual husband

They third partner joined us two years ago, it developed from a strong friendship, was supposed to be a bit of fun initially but grew into something pretty special.

The children call the third partner by his Christian name, though jokingly refer to him as daddy deux

The arrangement means that we all feel like we've got someone there for us, we all feel that you create your own happiness and this is just where we ended up,

Bedroom questions; they both work various shifts, sometimes it's just two of us, occasionally its three, not set times or schedules etc

I've not met anyone who has had a problem with it so far, though I get it's not for all, people ask me questions and I'll be honest, the children are happy and loved, that's all that matters really.

Have you seen the statistics on how detrimental your living situation is on the children involved? Does that ever make you reconsider your choices?

It is intriguing but gosh sleeping between two men, one is bad enough. Sounds claustrophobic and sweaty. Do they both cuddle you at the same time. What does the other do in the moment, just turn around and go sleep?

Can't say I have ever read statistics on it, it's not really going to make any difference, just numbers, everything is pretty much 50/50 in life isn't it? Might be great, might not. But I'd rather reach the end of my life surrounded by joy and happiness with the people I care about.

This is ringing bells in the back of my head somewhere. I am sure I have seen an episode of a TV show with this exact set up down to the meeting as teenagers, the woman and one man being married, shift work and separate flat for sleeping sometimes. I can’t for the life of me remember which show it was.

Yes we all have sex occasionally, no the men don't touch one another. No the kids aren't home when anything physical happens.

That part of our relationship is very much behind closed doors, as it would be with any other relationship, typical, traditional or otherwise
