I have been Psychic since childhood but did not really understand it. I did not have much support so tried to ignore it and not let it get to me. My mother is also one but she doesn't really admit to it, but growing up she would predict events that would happen.
I developed my ability more into my late teens, becoming more clairvoyant and an empath.

Two of my DD also have the ability, one of them is particularly advanced. I am doing my best to help them accept it instead of fearing it but it can be very scary at times, especially my DD who see's in more detail.

Auras respond best to the colour of money. Free readings are much less accurate than paid-for.

Love and light. And cash! (All cards accepted.)

Really, sometimes I think I could set up a lucrative side business, but I couldn't. It's unethical to exploit, lead, dupe, manipulate and deceive people - be they poor or rich!

Often people who contact psychics just want to talk to someone who cares and can offer some "expertly" advice (as evidenced by the request on this thread). Counsellors/therapists can be frustrating in their professional diligence, boundaries and refusing to give certain/clear advice. This is because they want to support the client to grown in their own way and find their own answers/path. It's a sort of a "teach a man to fish"- philosophy based on how people are built and become their most comfortable, happy and truest selves.

Many people view mental health professionals as too detached, clinical or daunting for some things (relationships, grief, career, studies, issues with children or fertility, etc.). Also they tend to charge more and have less availability than "psychics", who lack ethical boundaries (no framework for such an "occupation" ) and are driven by as much by money as their need to feel like special or a hero (of sorts) and be appreciated/needed. Trained and accredited mental health professionals are boundaried and will only engage out of treatment times if absolutely necessary. They will not give (as mentioned earlier) ready made answers/reasons/advice (e.g. "you will have a baby some day- I can feel it. You just need to find the right man", "your mum is in heaven now and loves you and watches over you"), they won't necessarily do hugs or other intimate, comforting things.

Yeah, OK. But can these so-called ‘professionals’ tell you that your dead dog is in a happy place by looking at the special animal Tarot? Thought not.

(Animal readings are £40 per hour, or part hour after the first.)

DuckingMel · 13/07/2018 23:44

Nope Grin

What they can do is help you deal with your grief, the memories it has left behind and the life changes it has brought. Halo

Plimmy · 13/07/2018 23:56

Pffft, I can talk about angel feathers, dim shapes of a beloved dog’s happy face (I’m seeing black or possibly brown fur, with maybe some other colour mixed in?) and a land full of dog treats.

DuckingMel · 14/07/2018 00:13

Well... You win! Poor doggy woggy...

GorgonLondon · 14/07/2018 07:24

plimmy he's telling me something about a place that was very special to you both, somewhere you used to take him... Regularly.. green... It feels like outside... Plastic bags are connected in some way...

Plimmy · 14/07/2018 07:52

You have the gift too!

angstinabaggyjumper · 14/07/2018 13:16

Do you ever get a feeling from someone when they are experiencing a strong emotion? For instance in a crowd. I do and I know at one point I was correct because of an incident which ensued.

bellinisurge · 14/07/2018 17:21

@angstinabaggyjumper - isn't that called "looking at them".

BananaToffo · 14/07/2018 17:40

Why do you feel the need to pretend that you're "psychic"? Does it make you feel special?

Don't you think it's profoundly disgusting to lie to people for money?

Are you embarrased that the only people who believe in your "gift" are a bit thick?

Would you support a change in the law that demands you provide evidence for your "skills" before taking money from people?

Why haven't you entered James Randi's challenge?

bellinisurge · 14/07/2018 17:46

During a particularly bad period at the end of the Soviet Union, there was this gobshite on tv there called Zhirinovsky who spewed out "psychic" crap to a desperate audience. I lived and worked there a lot. There's always a market for this stuff when times are tricky. Shame on anyone who exploits it.

fascinating thread, thanks for sharing OP.

I experienced what I can only describe as premonitions when I was 16. I would be able to see an event occur just before it happened or sometimes I’d be able to predict something a couple of weeks ahead but it would be vague. I think my abilities were very young and hadn’t matured.

Unfortunately, I’ve lost the ability to sense or forsee. I tired to do silly things like predict the lottery (I got 5 numbers lol), I didn’t actually buy a ticket. I think I abused my ability and as I grew up, I became tainted and negative. I wish I still could now.

I’ve seen a few physics over the years. I believe that some engeries connect better than others. I have a profound respect for psychics and plan to see another soon. My favourite psychic predicted, my current boyfriend, passing my driving test, a woman falling ill at work and many other things.

QuackPorridgeBacon · 14/07/2018 18:06

I have a theory on visions. Do we only remember them once the event has occurred? Maybe we are remembering that we thought of something similar and call it a prediction. I reckon we have many visions as such but don’t remember as it doesn’t happen and doesn’t trigger the memory. Or am I talking bollocks lol

ArtisanPopcorn · 14/07/2018 18:12

How long have you been earning money as a psychic?

Just wondering if it’s easier to peddle this nonsense now you can look people up on social media?
