I have been Psychic since childhood but did not really understand it. I did not have much support so tried to ignore it and not let it get to me. My mother is also one but she doesn't really admit to it, but growing up she would predict events that would happen.
I developed my ability more into my late teens, becoming more clairvoyant and an empath.

Two of my DD also have the ability, one of them is particularly advanced. I am doing my best to help them accept it instead of fearing it but it can be very scary at times, especially my DD who see's in more detail.

I need to link into a persons energy field to read them.

What sort of energy?

Lol this is part and parcel of what I deal with, many times over with skeptics... I have predicted many many times correctly and have a lot of regular and word of mouth clients.

Then it would be easy to deal with the sceptics- subject yourself to scientific testing, become incredibly famous and revolutionise our understanding of the world. Probably a nobel prize in it.

I've had a few readings over a period of 20 years and I'm always told I have psychic abilities myself. Except I don't. Is there a reason they'd say this?

No I do not follow any beliefs or practices ie Wicca, Pagan, deity divination, etc. That's a personal choice though and quite common, but I don't. I have at times tried using angel cards if I find I am struggling to make an energy connection, but overall I feel more at ease just letting information flow naturally.

Yes I do readings, face to face and phone readings. I don't charge huge amounts as I believe an ability such as this should not be misused for personal greed. On an ethical level I am a strong believer in karma. Even when reading it must be done with the best of intentions otherwise you can reap bad karma.
I never charge before a reading, only once a reading is complete and the client is happy with it. As I cannot guarantee a link every time.

Do you think the future is fixed and preset?

@donquixotedelamancha funny, but I've had exactly the same. They've always said 'you could be doing this job' and I've always wondered if they tend to say it to most people.

If you genuinely are psychic, you should be able to defend yourself against those of us of a more rational persuasion, not just ignore it because it doesn't fit with your smoke and mirrors.

Over the spam of my life I have also had very strange psychic dreams, mostly really minor irrelevant things but too detailed to be a coincidence, one of the most significant ones I had was 3 nights in a run I dreamt that I had been in a car crash, the following day an old man went through red lights and crashed in to me. Thankfully I was okay but my car was written off. I found that these dreams were more vivid than my usual dreams but I wouldn't know for definite they were psychic until the event occurred and I was so shocked!

All of a sudden these dreams stopped and I wonder whether there was a way of channelling these dreams? (Or encourage them?) I was a bit spooked when they occurred but I found it fascinating.

They do. I used to be quite good at cold reading in my youth- it really is a knack, you have to practice regularly. Selling stuff to people who are hostile is far harder than doing it to the kind of vulnerable people who believe psychics. Some people really want to believe.

Every few years I'll end up doing 'readings' to some randomer at a party and, once they've gone on for a bit about how accurate it is, I explain how it's done- not sure people like that really change their mind, though.

What sort of things have you predicted and have you been able to change the outcomes?

I have predicted marriages, separations/divorces, picked up on cheating partners, house moves, career changes, raises/promotions, pregnancies, genders of pregnant women. Future partners, reconciliations, house sales, picked negative energies in people's lives, in form or hidden enemies etc.

No I cannot change an outcome. I can at times Only if asked, advise people on the best way forward to try and avoid something in particular but even then i can't guarantee it will change anything but at times I have experienced energy shifts with people who have changed their course of action.

I do not practice any type of magic or voodoo that is known to be used to change outcomes. That side actually scares me as those kind of energies should not be meddled with.

However I can tell from a persons energies/aura if they have had anything negative or influential done on them by someone else.

I do not and will not predict deaths. At times I have predicted outcomes to illnesses and ailments but that's as far as I will go and only if someone persists but even then I will tell them not to take it as a medically guaranteed outcome.
I personally am crap at looking into my own energies as I can't differentiate between msgs and what's already my memory or mind. Sometimes I get paranoid too when I try. I know some people can read for themselves but I cannot and have long stopped trying because it can be so frustrating.

I can only advise you to please seek medical help. If it's something that is really bugging you. It could be your own intuition telling you something. Or best case scenario, you fearing something and getting paranoid. Please don't take offence.

Did you grow up always knowing that you were going to be a psychic?

Do you go through stages when your abilities shut down and times when they go almost hyper? Mine comes and goes, I used to see the dead but haven't for 10 years though I do sense them and I also have dream premonitions, but it comes and goes sporadically and I cant control it. I freak out and it will always stop when I want it to, but then I miss it.

Can you see anything in the future for me?

Do you think you could be put to better use than doing readings for a few quid? The world could change if you were willing to put yourself out there and demonstrate your ability to accurately predict future events.

OP I know it sound stupid but I get is on a weekly basis I know when something happens it just comes to you, you start thinking and have anxiety with mine I do anyway I ignore it and days later it happens with it being in my life or others I always swept it under the carpet as a coincidence and didn't really know it was a thing? No you are not sounding stupid, atleast not to me. I experienced this myself for a very long time. I feel more people then like to admit or realise have some form of supernatural ability. It helps to be spiritual and know that side exists but it's not necessary to have a set belief system. I would say make google your best friend, research. You will find many forums for help and support. Visit a spiritualist church for experience or guidance if you feel comfortable to do so. Find a reader who is recommended via a spiritualist church, psychic forum, someone who you can meet face to face would be great. All fake psychics will never meet face to face. Also 100% avoid those that charge an arm and a leg unless they are world renowned or very famous.
Learn techniques to meditate and open your ability, YouTube is full of free videos on meditation. I say the key is to practice a few and then tailor it to what feels comfortable with you.
I did a lot myself before I felt comfortable to ask for advise/help. I had readings with several good readers, didn't say a word and they were able to pick up I had an ability. I would love to recommend someone genuine with many many years experience, one lady who read for me many times, but I am not here to promote anyone.
