I have been Psychic since childhood but did not really understand it. I did not have much support so tried to ignore it and not let it get to me. My mother is also one but she doesn't really admit to it, but growing up she would predict events that would happen.
I developed my ability more into my late teens, becoming more clairvoyant and an empath.

Two of my DD also have the ability, one of them is particularly advanced. I am doing my best to help them accept it instead of fearing it but it can be very scary at times, especially my DD who see's in more detail.

what are next week's lottery numbers?

Voice0fReason · 11/07/2018 23:34

Would you be willing to go through any kind of scientific blind testing to show that your results are any more than chance, cold-reading or coincidence?

Have you ever seen Derren Brown?
He can do the same trick as you, only he doesn't pretend that it's anything other than a trick.

Plimmy · 11/07/2018 23:37

Did you foresee the Trading Standards Officers coming to serve you with a summons for fraudulent trading before you had to appear in court and pay the inevitable fine?

I don't follow any tv dramas. I barely watch any tv. Only documentaries and at times reality shows.

This is huge business all over the world.
There are many many genuine and very good psychics. Unfortunately there are also plenty of unethical and fake readers who give the rest a bad name.

Can you tell me anything about myself just from me being on This thread? If not, what gives you your psychic ability? Do you need to see or hear the other person?

I need to be around a persons energy field or link in through voice vibration.

How do you feel about exploiting vulnerable, desperate people in order to line your own pockets?

If you would have read my previous thread I have already mentioned in there.
I don't use my ability to rake in huge amounts of money. I do not charge a huge amount.
Reading does drain my own energies so the max I have ever read once or twice is 4-5 clients in one day.
Usually it's about a dozen clients a week on average, to be flexible around my job, my home and family.
I have never charged before a reading and only take payment if I am able to connect with a person and maintain the connection for the time asked for. At times if the information is still coming through or the person is not quite finished and has that one or two questions or they are feeling considerably upset I will go over 5-10 minutes before I break the connection.

Kind of, I'll think about someone random come into mind and than few minutes later I'll either receive a call or a text this happens most days, I wouldn't say I was advance to extremes some people are but I suppose a lot of practice and reading and understanding would be good I thought it was "different" but I didn't know It was actually a thing or even a name for it. I'm only 22 and have had this for years. Growing up my mum always said I would talk to people but the people weren't there or she would say I always told her about a man in a black coat and black top hat hat i would always talk about it, I laughed but I do remember the black coat and top hat I don't see him now but I remember it clear as anything that he was there. But wasn't visible to my mum when I mentioned it. Like I said I would always avoid the situation or see it as a coincidence. But seeing this post has made me open my eyes up a little and I'll be doing more research.

Please do!! From what you have said I have no doubt you have an ability. Explored and harnessed in the correct way and remember with the best of intentions. You can develop it further.
Always remain humble and ethical with an ability. Don't let people make you think you are crazy. Like on this thread there are many skeptics or people who were probably ripped off by a fake psychic and hold ill feelings now.

I charge £12 for 30 mins and £20 for an hour.

I have charged less to people who have felt like they have needed many readings to help them come to terms with, or extra support and insight through particularly difficult times.

If they have had 3 readings for example in one week I will round it up to £50 for 3 hours.

I also donate 10% of all money made from readings to charity.

OP posts:
PicketFenceCottage · 12/07/2018 00:21

I've had a few readings over a period of 20 years and I'm always told I have psychic abilities myself. Except I don't. Is there a reason they'd say this?

I'm sorry I wouldn't know why they would say this, I can't read your energy.
It could possibly be because you have a very spiritual energy about you and if you practised you could develop an ability.

You are either born with it or you can open yourself up and develop it by channelling energy through props. Tarot, runes etc.

Do you charge people for your services?

Yes I do. Reading and linking in with energies can be very draining.

However I feel I am fair with the prices I charge and I do donate 10 % to charity.

So you do take money from bereaved or otherwise vulnerable people.

How do you sleep at night?

First of all I have regulars and there is a reason they keep coming back, that is because they are happy and satisfied with their readings. They recommend their friends and family as a result. I have never put pressure on anyone to have a reading.

As for how I sleep at night.
I don't know, how do psychiatrists sleep at night??
It's perfectly acceptable to charge £30 £40 an hour to sit and listen to people's problems, why?? Only because they have a degree??

Well I was born with an ability I use with the best of intentions to help those that seek my services. I may not have a degree in it but I use my energies and it's draining.
I would actually say a good psychic/reader is a supernatural psychiatrist. Not everyone who asks for a reading is desperate and destitute. Some just want to see what's to look forward to In the near future in their lives.
It's generally those ones that will come back for more when certain predictions unfold.

Where are you based op? I would like a reading

Andromeida59 · 12/07/2018 00:47

The difference OP is that Counsellors and Psychiatrists are qualified professionals whom are there to help someone who has reached out for help. You are not qualified and you're quite obviously exploiting the weak and vulnerable. If you really want to help people why not train as a Counsellor etc rather than a con artist?

Andromeida59 · 12/07/2018 00:51

Also OP, I'll give you a reading. I would say you are a female between late twenties to early forties. Always had difficulties with relationships as people didn't understand the "special gift" that you possessed. You see yourself as someone who is in tune with nature. You were probably bullied at school and potentially had issues with reading and writing. You like fairies, dragons and anything other worldly. You probably have a statue/carving of the Green Man.

Do you think the future is fixed and preset?

Thank you. This is a very good question and I am sure many will have differing ideas about this. I am not here to knock anyone's personal belief but will only give what I personally believe.
there are two types events/situations in a persons future.

A destiny/fate event or situation this is pre written in your Akashic records (written in your stars/astrology) etc. The time of birth is always predestined. Not everyone has the same things written for their destiny once born though but it can be all of or a mixture of following examples.
what your future career will be, people who you will meet, connections you will experience, soul mates, kindred spirits, twin flames etc.
The amount of children you will have. Who you will marry etc.

Then there is the future which is determined by your free will or through the free will of others can also impact on your future.

So yes I believe certain things are preset and prefixed, apart from that there are many areas that can be changed or determined by the choices made through freewill by you or impacted on you by what those around you make.

Fascinating and thank you for putting yourself forward like this Light I find MN is generally quite unfriendly to this type of thing and I hope you can rise above any negativity.

I would love to have these sorts of abilities...or am I being naive, would you say it's a blessing or a curse?
Or am I being melodramatic with that question :o

OP - have you ever felt random pain somewhere in your body and related it to feeling someone else's pain?

As an empath and when I link to someone's energies I can most of the time feel similar feelings to what they are experiencing. Anxiety, happiness, excitement, sadness etc etc. Same way I can feel pains, but it's not like a physical pain that I get. It's more like a phantom pain. I don't know it's hard to describe how I feel, but to the person I can describe what they are feeling.
Like once I had a dull kind of phantom pain going from the back of my head to the front in waves and the client said that is how they have been experiencing migraines over stress related situations. Another time I felt a pain in my foot and the client said they had pulled a tendon in that foot a week ago and it was still painful. That's usually an indication I have made a strong link with their energies.

Yes it has and I am not ashamed to admit I don't get everything right. No ethical reader will ever claim to know everything and be able to predict everything

Over the spam of my life I have also had very strange psychic dreams, mostly really minor irrelevant things but too detailed to be a coincidence, one of the most significant ones I had was 3 nights in a run I dreamt that I had been in a car crash, the following day an old man went through red lights and crashed in to me. Thankfully I was okay but my car was written off. I found that these dreams were more vivid than my usual dreams but I wouldn't know for definite they were psychic until the event occurred and I was so shocked!

All of a sudden these dreams stopped and I wonder whether there was a way of channelling these dreams? (Or encourage them?) I was a bit spooked when they occurred but I found it fascinating.

That was a spiritual dream you were having. These dreams come from a higher knowledge, usually it's your higher self which I believe is always plugged into the universe. Many people are able to connect to their higher selves through meditation etc. Tibetan monks can do this and people on spiritual paths. Via your higher self you are able to tap into knowledge that will help your spiritual growth in this life. At times your guardian angels are watching over you and will channel visions and messages through to your soul. While you sleep your soul can be awake in another realm, as your mind is relaxed it is more susceptible to msgs or visions.
If it's a very vivid

I don't believe anyone is psychic, can you convince me I'm wrong? I'd love to be wrong by the way.

Unless I am able to read you unfortunately I would not be able to give you that.
I hope you find some clarity some day.
Being a skeptic does not make you a bad person. They just have a difference of opinion.

Have you ever met anyone that you can’t read? Like you can’t get anything From them at all?
What would you do if you could see A person was truly evil or had done something evil that only you could see?

How many predictions have you made which haven't come true?

Ohhh now that's something every single psychic no matter how popular or world famous is will have experienced.
Freewill can change things, or quite simply I didn't predict correctly. I won't lie or pussyfoot around this. I can accept it.

A Dr with all training, experience, the medical amenities and equipment can miss diagnose a patient. Does not mean he is a crappy doctor.
Just means he is human and human errors are made.

Same way I am human too.

OP posts:
Graphista · 12/07/2018 01:56

Have you heard of dr Paul Ekman? Seen lie to me?

I'm not sure I'm convinced either way. I believe there are charlatans but I'm also not convinced that psychic ability doesn't exist - but I think it may have an explainable "cause" for lack of a better word.

I think people who believe they are psychic are actually highly intuitive, able to naturally read micro expressions and body language well, and (controversial bit coming up) I think it's possible just as radio/tv/wifi works using waves of energy so too do brain waves which we already know have electrical elements. It's just some people naturally 'hear' them and others don't. I also (another controversial bit coming up) believe that time isn't linear but a series of loops. And that people who believe their psychic ability is supernatural are just tuned in to the wavelength.

It's just an ability some (but a very small amount) of people have like hyperthymesia, synaesthesia or how some extremely gifted people can "just do" extremely complex maths equations instantly.

Did you grow up always knowing that you were going to be a psychic?

I knew growing up something was different with me but no I did not know I was going to be psychic. To be honest it wasn't something that was publicised or spoken about in my home. So for a very long time I didn't even know what it was.

This is one of my scarier experiences.
I had dreams of my15yr old brother with a car on top of him and he couldn't get out from underneath it and he kept crying to me and asking me to move the car. Then people are gathering around and he has blood pouring from his forehead and nose, then when people have pulled him out he has lost his right leg. Yep pretty gruesome for a 12 year old to dream! I think it was 2 dreams in a row and then 3rd day I would see the dream playing out in my mind too. The vision wouldn't go. Like on autopilot repeat repeat. That evening there was a crash at the top of my road and people went running saying some kid got run over Riding his bike. I knew straight away it was my brother and when I went to where it was his head was all bloody, he had broken his nose and when they pulled him out where the car had run over his legs his right leg was so badly damaged he had broken it in 2 places and needed the bones to be pinned together. He was told he was lucky as one or 2 more severe breaks he could have risked having his leg amputated.

I remember as a young child it used to scare me because I thought I was somehow causing the things to happen by thinking or dreaming about it first.
