Checking in. Phoned midwives. Answerphone. Their web page says they get back to you in a week; if I'm pedantic they have a couple of hours to go yet on that but I really would like to hear from them sooner than later.

Miami81 · 26/04/2017 13:09

Placemarking here. Thanks.
5+1 today and still feeling quite optimistic about things. Ridiculously early I know, but trying to stay as laid back as I can.
Counselling tomorrow so that should be good.

Placemarking and joining

knorrig · 26/04/2017 14:09

Checking in.

31+4 today!

32 week growth scan next week and then consultant appointment at 34 weeks - should know then if it will be csec or not due to low lying placenta. Midwife appointment today showed good growth and heartbeat.

theAntsareMyFriends · 26/04/2017 14:16

place marking too.

knorrig thanks for the update on Jpeg and do update here too. I'm not on Facebook so miss out on anything there.

Ineed that's such an exciting thought. I hope it goes well and that you have a swift recovery.

knorrig · 26/04/2017 14:35

Will keep you all updated on any Jpeg news from FB.

grainmum · 26/04/2017 14:38

Placemarking. Spent since 8pm last night on the maternity ward due to niggles in tummy and a bit of a temp yesterday. Blood tests all ok and temp here fine, and a quick scan shows liquor volume similar to last week. So for the next few minutes feeling slightly reassured!

On a side note I was looking for a pregnancy book in the library that might be relevant in this situation and picked up a Headspace book about mindfulness in pregnancy. Some useful tips on focusing on the present which I hope I will been able to put into practice and maybe help me psychologically.

Welcome to newcomers, and hood news on your bloods miami.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 26/04/2017 15:10

Is there a Facebook group?

theotherendofthesockportal · 26/04/2017 16:07

I've had my 12 week scan confirmation, I had to phone the hospital to get the date. I get to see my baby on 9th May! So excited although a tad apprehensive due to my last 12 week scan confirmed my baby hadn't developed.

Hello just a placemark

Ps: say - I hear you on the rage. I'm extremely extremely lucky in that my DH and I chivvy along just fine 95% of the time but last couple of days it's been weepy rage time and everything he's doing is making me mutinous. It's not his fault.

Anyway, hope all is well and looking forward to your update x

Hazandduck · 26/04/2017 17:32

Thanks for the new thread Olivers! :)

MoonlightMojitos · 26/04/2017 18:46

Checking in and 35 weeks today! It's going so fast now, I keep having a bit of a panic about how soon it could be til baby is here, really need to finish getting everything ready now.

Sorry to hear about the unsuccessful ecv newshoes but exciting you'll have baby in no time now! Would you recommend giving the ecv a go to others still or not worth it after experiencing it? Was it painful?

Glad to hear about jpeg I was wondering how she was doing :)

SayItIsntSo1 · 26/04/2017 20:45

Checking in! Hello again.

Just laid in bed feeling little nudges from bubs Smile Sonographer said he was really low down and I can tell he is.

I managed to do some yoga and had a relaxing bath this evening. Bath was disrupted by a mad soggy dash to check on dd when there was a loud bump from her room... she'd pulled her bedside light over while messing around with it. Funnily enough she got the hint and went straight to sleep after Hmm

SayItIsntSo1 · 26/04/2017 20:51

Grain! I hope you're feeling better! Do you know how long they want to keep you in for?

grainmum · 26/04/2017 22:20

say I escaped this afternoon. I didn't feel that bad tbh and probably over-reacted, but I'd checked my temp and it was raised and I needed to pass the responsibility/decisions to somebody else. Trying to focus on facts, which is that everything seems the same as last week.

They have all been very kind and said they are happy for me to go in whenever, hopefully I can stay strong and avoid it. Amidst a bay of various ladies in early labour, CTG machines etc there wasn't much sleep happening!

INeedNewShoes · 26/04/2017 23:25

Just checking in on the new thread. 38 weeks (well in 40 minutes' time I will be anyway Wink) and due to have a CS end of next week as baby is breech.

That's a really good question Moonlight. I wouldn't have an ECV again in my precise situation (my baby has been breech on every single scan and for as long as I've been able to feel movements has constantly been head up with feet in my pelvis). I knew before the ECV that it wasn't going to work. Consultant agreed with me and said there's most likely a physiological reason why my baby can't move to head-down position, but we decided to give it a go. I think if baby had moved around more during the pregnancy and had spent any time at all head down then ECV is worth a go.

I would describe the feeling of ECV as discomfort rather than pain. It was completely manageable. The muscle relaxant injection is a particularly stingy one though (and I say that as someone who has been injecting heparin all pregnancy).

Although I was very apprehensive about labour, I do feel disappointed to be having a CS. But at the end of the day, my only priority is that baby arrives safely.

Miami81 · 27/04/2017 10:29

Brown spotting started up again this morning. Struggling to keep a grip. This is awful.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 27/04/2017 10:41

Oh Miami! Hugs x

oliversmummy26 · 27/04/2017 13:07

Oh Miami I'm sorry to hear that, how worrying for you...have you spoken to GP/EPU? Brown is good though, try to hold on to that..?

Hello all

Just placemarking. Life is so busy I barely get a chance to post and I'm missing out on all your news. Nearly 22 weeks here now. Time is speeding up a bit.

littlepooch · 27/04/2017 13:18

knorrig · 27/04/2017 15:17

So sorry Miami I really hope it's nothing. So horrible to be stuck in limbo waiting!
