Update on Jpeg she had a beautiful little boy called Max by c section yesterday! 💙

TheLegendOfBeans · 27/04/2017 16:18

Yayyyyy! Well done jpeg

DoctorDonnaNoble · 27/04/2017 16:27

I still haven't heard from the midwives. They never answer their phone I can feel my anxiety building you can't self refer to the EPU here and no routine doctor's appointments for three weeks. Why couldn't they just get back to me in a week like they said.

Miami81 · 27/04/2017 17:11

Thanks everyone. Hcg levels have doubled to over 11,000. Such good levels that she started asking me if I was really only 5+2.
Anyway so we have left it that I will see how I feel next week, I have lost both of mine around 6 or 7 weeks so a scan earlier isn't that helpful. She reminded me that brown discharge stuff is very normal. If it escalates at all they will see me.
Still no symptoms. Maybe these are my symptoms of a normal good pregnancy.........
Great news for jpeg.

knorrig · 27/04/2017 17:24

That's great miami

From what I remember Jpeg had a lot of bleeding in the first trimester and she's just had her little bundle so it's not always bad, I do understand the worry though!

MoonlightMojitos · 27/04/2017 18:12

Ah great news on jpeg ❤!

Thanks newshoes that's good to know and good to hear some first hand experiences and opinions.

mammabear4 · 27/04/2017 18:41

Hi everyone can I join please? Thanks @Miami81 for the referral!
Just got my BFP yesterday morning... super early I'm only 3+6. Feeling very sicky and tired, and lower abdomen is bloated and hard, also getting quite strong cramps. I found out I'd had a MMC earlier this year at 8 weeks, blighted ovum and sac only measuring 5 weeks - the cramps I had were very similar but I also had brown spotting. Currently laid on my bed with these very strong twinges - it's really stressing me out!! I've also attached my pregnancy tests so far - left to right is yesterday FMU, today FMU and finally 4.30 today xxx

Congratulations JPeg!

Welcome Mamma, you're in the right place. It's such a double edged sword testing early isn't it, the early weeks are long enough! With this pregnancy I was 4+4/5 before I could bring myself to test after 6 months of testing from about 8dpo and having two early MCs after my MMC. I hope this one is a sticky bean for you.

Miami81 · 27/04/2017 19:17

Mamma that looks a great strong positive for 3+6.
This is a great thread with loads of ladies at all the different stages. It is very hard to stay positive all the time, but try to stay strong.

littlepooch · 27/04/2017 19:22

Ah massive congratulations to jpeg!!

miami glad the hcg levels were good. Fingers crossed no more spotting.

Welcome mamma. You'll get loads of support here.

tiggykate · 27/04/2017 19:37

Congratulations jpeg!

So I'm supposed to be 6+1 today and had an early scan today - as part of the RMC tlc treatment.

We saw a heartbeat which was amazing - haven't seen a heartbeat with any of my mcs.

But the fetal pole only measures 3mm so she said it's more like 5-6 weeks. I had a bfp 18 days ago so can't be 5 weeks. Rather than feeling reassured I'm starting to worry that this one isn't growing properly and the drugs I'm on will just make me miscarriage later. I'm actually more worried now than I was before the scan - I have no spotting to suggest that things are going wrong this time - but the thought of losing this one would actually break me. Anyone been through similar?

Miami81 · 27/04/2017 19:49

Oh tiggy
I am so sorry that you are going through this. I have no experience but just wanted to hold your hand for a bit.

MoonlightMojitos · 27/04/2017 20:09

tiggy try and think positive, I know it's difficult but the measurements can be so out at such an early stage as it's absolutely tiny margins (think how small 3mm is!) And a tiny difference makes a big difference in dates. I had an early scan that dated me around 5 weeks (can't remeber exactly now) and by my 12 week scan they moved me forward 8 days! So fx for you that it's just because it's so difficult to measure so small. Plus, a heartbeat is fantastic news! The chance of mc drops drastically if there is a heartbeat. Do you have another scan or is it a wait til 12 weeks now?

appleseedpip · 27/04/2017 20:56

Hello ladies, I hope I can join in..

I'm 9+2 and had a mmc at 12+2 in December. At my 12wk scan the LO had stopped growing at 10wks.

I've got an early scan booked for next Wednesday (10+1) I'm terrified.. but for the time being I'm trying to stay positive. So far my symptoms have been severe nausea, bloat and mild twinges every now and then but today my nausea has been easing.. which happened last time.. Ahhh I really can't help but worry..

INeedNewShoes · 27/04/2017 23:10

Huge congratulations to jpeg Smile

Welcome Apple Smile All of us here have experienced drop-offs in our symptoms during the course of our current pregnancies. Try not to read too much into it. I actually had more symptoms in my MMC pregnancy than in this one. My best advice for the earlyish weeks is to keep busy, happy and distracted. For me this takes the form of spending lots of time with people who are good company, and doing things I enjoy (like walking, playing music etc.). It just helps the time to pass and reduces the thinking time for over-thinking!

TheLegendOfBeans · 28/04/2017 14:59

Hi tiggy - mojitos has it right, you have to just be as clear headed as you can be at this stage and stay positive.

Today I am OTT in the respect that I am desperate to find out the sex of the baby and I am desperate to just buy a wee toy for it already to keep until October.

I know I'm tempting fate/being an eejit.

SayItIsntSo1 · 28/04/2017 17:53

How far along are you now Legend? I don't think it sounds silly to want to get something. We have got a few bits of clothing and I'm 18+4, I think it helps make it real and exciting. I still can't quite believe chances are we'll have a newborn come October Confused

TheLegendOfBeans · 28/04/2017 18:50

I'm 15 weeks now....I swing between excitement and fear, weirdly I have 16w as another "milestone" so I'll be a bit more normal next Wednesday.

I saw a wee baby today getting cuddles from its granny, was so tiny - 8w old! Yeah my uterus fluttered.

Talking of which, Say are you feeling movements? I swear I can feel wee swooshes....

SayItIsntSo1 · 29/04/2017 10:40

Legend I am feeling movements but they are still sporadic. Some days I have quite a few and others hardly any. So I veer between being reassured and thinking the worst. They feel anything from a jab to my internals doing a belly roll Confused I had an anterior placenta with dd too and don't remember anything other than fairly big movements which I think are still a good few weeks away.

Hello Apple, I missed you up thread. Lots of us have had early scans and varying symptoms, you've done really well to hold out so long! I hope it goes well and gives you some reassurance.

PollyCazaletWannabe · 29/04/2017 13:10

hi, if nobody minds I will copy and paste the op of a thread I just started in AIBU.

Hi, I had a MMC and ERPC in January, baby was estimated to have died at 5 + 6. Currently 5 + 4 with a new pregnancy, which is great, but unfortunately I have been told that my HCG and progesterone levels are low considering my LMP date. Had a scare yesterday with some brown bleeding (not much but still!). My hormone levels were tested today and the good news is that hcg has trebled since Thursday and progesterone has doubled. However they are still considered low and the doctor has put me on progesterone tablets for 3 weeks. Just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience with low HCG and progesterone levels at this stage? Obviously I am really anxious given what happened last time and what's more, I am still bleeding a little (still brown). Could I still be miscarrying even though the HCG is increasing?

grainmum · 29/04/2017 13:49

say I'm really glad you said that about movements, I'm the same. Some days whenever I want to check i go and lie down and get a wee kick straight away, days like yesterday hardly anything despite lying down several times.

meadowlark3 · 29/04/2017 14:36

Hi all, can I join? I am 35 been TTC #1 for 16 months. Fell pregnant second month and miscarried at five weeks and no joy since. We were just about to start IVF (even had my first day of buserelin) and something told me to do a pregnancy test which came positive straight away! I am going tomorrow to have an HCG test with the ACU, as have no idea how far I might be. My period was only 22 days ago but I had a few days of spotting beforehand so maybe I am further in the cycle.

Trying not to worry and stay calm but can't help but wonder and hope.
Almost wishing I had to work this weekend as it would keep me a bit busier! Quite hopeful that this will be a successful pregnancy for us...

xx

tiggykate · 29/04/2017 15:56

Polly, I've not experienced that but I think the HCG trebling is a great sign - shows the baby is growing. Is it possible you could be a couple of days out with your dates - that could explain why HCG is low. If the progesterone is low that can cause bleeding - so now you've got progesterone that should help. Are the suppositories you've been prescribed? If so, putting them in the back passage can be better - as they can irritate the cervix and cause bleeding when used vaginally.

Have you been offered a scan in a week or so to check everything is ok?

I can't promise everything will work out this time but we're here to hand hold.

xx

tiggykate · 29/04/2017 15:58

Thank you to everyone who replied to my post. Sorry I went AWOL - I posted on here and then fell asleep before I had chance to check back! I definitely have strong symptoms of pregnancy!

I've been offered another scan in 2 weeks - which feels like a lifetime away. I'm going to have to keep myself busy this bank holiday weekend to try and make time pass by quicker!
