Shamelessly place marking!

He's getting a new leather wallet, but other than that I'm stumped. He's one of those that's buys everything he fancies all year round Grin

I found this thread invaluable last year.
One of the items that was suggested last year was a Telescopic Magnetic Pick-up tool (with LED light). It's only a few pounds but really useful for when things get knocked under / behind awkward areas.

Something like this was also suggested - a cable / gadget organiser. I didn't get one but I'm going to this year. There are lots of different makes / sizes available so shop around for one that suits you.

New bottle of aftershave (gets through one a year, and it's now tradition!)
Something silly that will make him smile.
Something new for his collection (too outing to say what he collects)
Socks (standing joke)

I'm stuck at this point. But I know him quite well so I'm sure when I'm out shopping something else will jump out at me... It normally does lol

Totally stuck!!

Thought I had nailed it last year with a super car roving day. He still hasn't booked it and we've had to pay extra to extend the dates!

My OH has just had a birthday. I got him a Leatherman multi tool and the Trojan Records box set (old rude boy). I'm a bit stuck about Christmas. Perhaps some Dr Martens 'for life'.

I found some Bakewell Tart flavoured gin, I think it’ll go down well with the men in my family.

Ooh, sounds interesting Star, could you please tell me where you got it from? Thank you.

Bakewell tart flavoured gin sounds delicious! Shock

Definitely following this thread - my husband is crazy hard to buy for. I JUST about manage every year, and he has a bloody December birthday too.
So far I have bought him a shirt in the sort of style and colours he likes, and a nice brown leather belt. Oh and loads of his favourite kind of chocolates to pad out the eventual pile.
I'll also buy him a pleasant smelling moisturiser (I HATE his current one with a passion) but other than that I'm stumped.

He's getting an acoustic guitar for his birthday, but he's picking that out himself.

I’m getting my husband a new amp (bought him a new guitar for his joint 40th and Christmas present last year), pants - he loves a particular brand so I always get him them for Christmas, a book about the rivalry of the football clubs we support, a book of songs to learn on his guitar and a new wallet. He’s done ✅

DH is getting - Boxed magnum of port
Chilly bottle
Vietnam book ( Max Hastings)
All which he doesn’t know about, and has asked for an Oddballs subscription which I bought DS (25) for his birthday. £9.99 a month one pair of snazzy boxers and shorts delivered to the door.

This thread was brilliant last year! For DH this year I am torn between a Hotel Chocolate Velvitiser
https://www.hotelchocolat.com/uk/velvetiser-hot-chocolate-machine.html
and a Dry Robe
https://dryrobe.com/pages/dryrobe-branding-embroidery

Other men in the family are getting smellies from Molton Brown, my dad got a book about British Theatres to visit before you die and my step-Father has a set of steel straws (instead of plastic disposable ones) winging their way to him (I do like him, honest Grin).

Also placemarking.

I've asked DH what he wants, and he just says save the money or spend it on DS... not v helpful.

Have NC'd for this as it's so outing...
Falke airport socks-long, bright, merino
Single estate dark chocolate (from chocolate trading company).
Rapha cycling jersey
Bottle of whiskey

He'd be happy with this exact list every year-substitutions might include Nyetimber champagne, some other item of fancy cycle gear, and pants. Not particularly creative on my part and I'd like to come up with a surprise but it is what he wants.

DH is quite tricky to buy for, as no harm to him... but he doesn't appreciate naice chocolates etc, he'd be just as happy with cadburys. Also, his birthday is Xmas eve! So intend to buy a load of gifts then split them over the two days.

We have a few standard gifts he gets every year, socks and boxers, lounge pants and t-shirts, boxes of wine gums and jelly babies, nice bottle of red, and the latest Andy mcnab hardback and some toiletries.

This year I'm thinking about a good quality holdall or overnight bag, as he travels with work and always steals my weekend bag.

I also usually book a weekend away somewhere, maybe to see a concert 8f just the two of us, or a family break - so we all benefit.
