I think I may be just very early, but I need to know!

I’m going to get him some second hand fine art on ebay. Like it second hand as you get some unexpected pieces and it comes framed.

Hideandgo · 09/10/2018 14:37

And I’d love to get him some retromatti briefs, red or yellow, but they’re so expensive! They’d be so hot under his 3 piece suit!

73kittycat73 · 09/10/2018 14:45

Thank you StarShapedWindow .

Butterflycookie · 09/10/2018 16:06

Cufflink/watch box?
Whiskey stones
Cocktail recipe book/cocktail shakers
Nando’s Piri piri sauce gift set
Fluffy socks
Engraved hip flask
Whitards hot chocolate set

Saymaname · 09/10/2018 16:09

It’s dh’s birthday in Dec too.
So far
Clothes
Wallet
Thinking about some sporting tickets

Frazzlerock · 09/10/2018 16:35

Yeah my DP is on the bloody 23rd! AND it's his 40th FFS

I'm buying DH a cider press for Christmas. Should keep him occupied for a while!

LittleMissBrainy · 09/10/2018 16:53

Ooh, I was just thinking about this the other day and I need to call on the MN brilliance!! On a previous thread, someone mentioned a credit card size tool thing, I think a bit like a Swiss Army knife but (really) cheap (like less than a fiver), it fits in a wallet and had a bottle opener on it amongst other things.
I realise not much to go on but can anyone help?? Confused

RuggerHug · 09/10/2018 16:57

So far for DH
Rubgy ball shaped toiletry bag with aftershave/hair shit in it.

Scrum wars t-shirt.

Anthony Bourdien(spelling?) book.

And I'm thinking of a mophie charging phone case.

Awkward fecker is generally impossible to buy for and his birthday is before Christmas too. Gah.

Alanamackree · 09/10/2018 17:44

@LittleMissBrainy I think you’re thinking of a wallet ninja. Someone mentioned them being in a poundshop I think...but which one?

CisMyArse · 09/10/2018 17:47

Kindle paper white. I'm waiting for Amazon's sale - I saved about £40 last year on my Dad's.

LittleMissBrainy · 09/10/2018 17:48

@Alanamackree that's it! Thank you so much!! Smile

Flashingbeacon · 09/10/2018 17:57

Ooo help me too please.
Owns a pub, so booze is out. Diabetic so chocolate is out. And a January birthday. Got him a watch for his 40th. From last year’s thread I got the wallet ninja, extending magnetic tool and the sugr mending stuff.

Saymaname · 09/10/2018 19:15

I was looking at 6 nations rugby but ££££££ how expensive?!? So now it’s just wallet and clothes still lol

TinkerLloyd · 09/10/2018 21:00

@BombayBunty love the idea of a cider press, where do you get one of those from??

Bombaybunty · 09/10/2018 21:26

I've been looking on Amazon, loads on there. My friend has one, I need to find out where it came from.

DelurkingAJ · 09/10/2018 21:56

DH wants a mini greenhouse. Otherwise he’ll get his stocking, Lego from DC (Star Wars) and maybe some aftershave.

Kerantli · 09/10/2018 22:09

I will hopefully be crocheting DP a cuddly Cthulhu. He's always been super hard to buy for

GiraffeObsessedBaby · 09/10/2018 22:26

My husband is a tech/gaming/comic book nerd with expensive taste who doesn't like "stuff". In the past I've struck gold with a fancy watch that I tricked him into picking, AJ signed boxing glove and glass cases for his other collectible boxing gloves, ninja turtle collectible comic books, vintage games consoles.

I'm running out of ideas and we've only been married 3 years! Plus he has a January birthday. Ffs

GiraffeObsessedBaby · 09/10/2018 22:26

Oh and he likes sports - which I have no clue about besides rugby

Sadik · 09/10/2018 22:33

Boring, but a new dressing gown. Looking at this which is organic but also looks suitably furry. He'll most likely also get a bottle of something nice, probably dark rum. Unlike most men on MN, he's dead easy to buy for - any of the trinity of something to drink, something to read & something to wear would hit the spot!

Doidontimmm · 09/10/2018 22:38

I’ve got mine:

His favourite sweets
A book he mentioned
A leather case for the expensive pen I got him last year (that he keeps losing!)
A branded shirt
Some Pjs (our Xmas eve tradition)

DailyMailDontStealMyThread · 09/10/2018 22:59

Happy to join in, off to bed but I’ll post the chilli company I used last year tomorrow evening.

I’ve also bought some aftershave directly from Mercedes-Benz after smelling it in a showroom!

Chelsea26 · 09/10/2018 23:26

I found ‘our song’ on an old vinyl record and got it and the sleeve framed.

He’s also getting
A coffee machine
A new bag - his strap broke
And this pillow www.johnlewis.com/tempur-cloud-support-standard-pillow/p231431353?sku=231431353&s_kwcid=2dx92700031319601598&tmad=c&tmcampid=2&gclid=EAIaIQobChMImIzzobP63QIVy7ftCh3cxA20EAQYASABEgKE2PD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds because they’re freaking amazing and he loves them at mine!

TellMeItsNotTrue · 10/10/2018 08:01

I always suggest this on these types of threads, I ordered a one off box from cornerstone with a personalised razor and 2 years later I'm still ordering from them as he loves their products (razors, face wash, shower gel etc)
