@Yogachick i used to love Revolution! I think Center may be my favourite and True a close second but I’d have to look again to check my memory.
today I did a 15 minute Kassandra for shoulders and upper back - very good for my awful shoulder pain

Shavasana · 18/10/2024 19:39

I’m pleased it worked! I made up my own routine today, managed to fit in 35 minutes.

Neurodiversitydoctor · 18/10/2024 19:56

Can I join please ? I do around 12 mins every morning at 5:20 to the shipping forcast, my own routine with lots of the poses mentioned here. Should say I only do it Mon-Fri

Welcome @Neurodiversitydoctor ,what n impressive practice -and to the shipping forecast!
Revolution Day 2- Intention for me today. Threading the needle was there and high boat to low boat. I’m rubbish at boat,my abs aren’t very strong and I tend to use my hip flexors and back. If it figures a lot in this series hopefully that will change 😁

Poisonwood · 19/10/2024 15:32

@Neurodiversitydoctor thanjs for sharing, it’s nice to see what everyone is doing.

@Yogachick I’m the same - I had life-saving surgery years ago and a lot of muscles were cut/damaged…I’ll forever be grateful but it hugely changed what I can do with that area of my body.

A lovely hour long YWA, Headstand Practice, today - the only word I can say is beautiful.

Yogachick · 20/10/2024 17:46

Revolution Day 3- Honor 29 mins. Wish I knew a boat alternative🙄

Poisonwood · 20/10/2024 17:59

90 min of various videos today, and half hour meditation this evening after kids go to bed. End of the school holidays so have to get back to fitting it all in mornings and evenings, have been enjoying daytime yoga with the children…though they make it seem so effortless 😂

PatienceOfEngels · 20/10/2024 18:01

Back to the mat. YWA Home day 18. Head still not quite in it but going to try and power through this series before the end of October.

Neurodiversitydoctor · 21/10/2024 08:04

Up at 5 for my series this am. Took 7 mins is that too short to have any effect ?

Hello ! I’m really impressed that you do this in 12 mins so early in the morning as well! I did something similar last night before bed , took me half an hour. I slept like a log for seven solid hours 🤗

I always start with child’s pose. Some days I just want to stay like that for ages!!

I always include a side lunge with hands in prayer position then side lunge twist after standing straddle and forward fold. Love these poses! I’m not very good at aka dislike side plank but I want to push myself to include this on a daily basis.

I’m so so happy to have yoga in my life!!!

Yogachick · 21/10/2024 09:45

Well done for getting back to Home @PatienceOfEngels ,your head will get back as you find your rhythm again. Hope the DC is recovering.
I too am amazed you can do all that in such a short amount of time @Neurodiversitydoctor ,I definitely couldn’t. If you’re feeling the benefit from however you practice is the only thing that matters. We’re all different.
Children are a whole another level of flexible @Poisonwood . I remember watching my babies grab their little toesies, though at 30&34 neither of them can any more. Mind you I also used to be stronger & more flexible, hoping to get some back with a consistent practice.
Hows the shoulder pain @Sooverthemill ? Hoping the yoga is helping x
Today was Day 4 Revolution,Prana,33 mins. I read the email before practising & found the message of whole body wellness very interesting. I have fibro & CFS as well as many digestive issues, maybe treating myself more holistically will have benefit.Today’s was a tough one, mostly on wrists, even with frequent breaks mine are a bit sore. I used a cushion instead of the blankie she recommended to support my knees but it was a bit bulky when doing knee to nose & bringing foot through to low lunge,so I’ll find a blankie for future efforts. There was lizard on forearms( I had blocks to help) to plank, fire hydrant circles, hero, the one where you have opposite arm & leg extended ,bend the knee & reach back to touch your toes, whatever that’s called. I usually cramp on that but didn’t today😃.Enjoy whatever you do today xx

rest day yesterday but today I did the yoga for mobility again. Love it

Rummikub · 21/10/2024 16:05

Hello all
nice to read what everyone’s up to.

ive started doing the day 8s as suffered up thread in ten min chunks though as I get out of breath and I’m stil a little scared to push myself. But it’s good to join in and feel like I’m doing something

Poisonwood · 21/10/2024 19:48

@Sooverthemill it’s a nice one isn’t it!

@Rummikub any way that works for you, is your right way 💪

I’ve somehow fitted in an hour of YWA for weight loss, morning mobility, 10 min total body, Flow Day 1, Core with Marnie and Meditation for Anxiety. Should sleep well.

Poisonwood · 22/10/2024 18:04

Flow Day 2, Yoga Detox and Generosity Practice today along with a wee bit of Pilates and meditation.

PatienceOfEngels · 23/10/2024 12:09

I've had 2 more days of feeling too tressed for yoga which I know is ridiculous! Arrived in the UK this morning and staying with my mum and dad. I have time to try and catch up with YWA Home. I missed 5 days of practice, but was one day ahead already from a double and started on the 1st instead of the 2nd so I need to pull 3 doubles to be on track to finish by the end of the month.

@Poisonwood - you've inspired me to do a bit more!

Poisonwood · 23/10/2024 19:50

@PatienceOfEngels I’m hoping staying with your parents gives you a chance to rest and reset calmer. Maybe some meditation?

I did YWA deep core today, Pilates that I didn’t enjoy, and some good no-hands practice. Oh, also Marnie’s Deep Twists…she’s really grown on me. I tried a manifestation meditation for the first time but they aren’t for me; the breath-work from it was beneficial at least.

Poisonwood · 24/10/2024 13:27

Resist Gravity with Marnie, Get Wheel with Rey, Flow Day 4, Yoga For A Fresh Start and 20 minutes meditation.

PatienceOfEngels · 24/10/2024 18:43

Definitely @Poisonwood . My mum and dad live in the countryside so after doing a YWA Home in my bedroom when it was still dark, after breakfast I did the next 2 days outside in beautiful sunshine with the sound of the birds and wind in the trees. Gorgeous day. Bliss!

And good to catch up a bit. Will do a few more tomorrow so I'm up to date.

Poisonwood · 24/10/2024 19:36

@PatienceOfEngels that sounds very therapeutic!

Yogachick · 25/10/2024 06:59

Adriene got talky on Day 5 of Revolution & I very non yogically lost patience. No physical practice for me for last couple of days but have been meditating with Daily Calm. Posonwood, I’m in awe of your practice, and your focus @PatienceOfEngels to keep going.
