Hello! Joining you from the September thread. I really enjoyed the 30 minute Sarah Beth flow and stretch video I did yesterday so I think I'll do that again today.

PatienceOfEngels · 01/10/2024 09:53

Morning!

Just kicked off YWA Home with day 1 (43 minutes). Quite slow paced. Looking forward to working through it this month. On a course abroad this weekend and they're offering a yoga class on the Saturday before the meetings start so will give it a go!

Haven't signed up for the FWFG app @Yogachick Have too many unused subscriptions for other things at the moment and find her free stuff is enough for me.

Jumbojem · 01/10/2024 20:57

Just marking my place! No yoga for me today, struggle for time on office days.
Might try some of those on the Rekindle list, look like some interesting ones on there.

Sooverthemill · 01/10/2024 23:01

I was a FWFG member for years but stopped during lockdown to give the money to the food bank and never rejoined. I used it a lot until there was too many guest yogis for my taste -I wanted Adrienne. May well have changed.
today I did a random day from ‘home’ and hated it! Home was 2020 I think and never was a favourite so I should have known better!

Sooverthemill · 02/10/2024 09:05

Today i returned to the yoga for mobility which really is a great short practice (22 minutes)

PatienceOfEngels · 02/10/2024 13:42

YWA Home day 2 (28 minutes) at work this morning.

GameOfJones · 02/10/2024 19:34

15 minute posture yoga today, short but some really good shoulder stretches.

Jumbojem · 02/10/2024 19:49

I did Hips and Heart from the YWA Rekindle calendar, it wasn't the one scheduled for today as think it was a long one. The one I did was about 25 minutes, quite different to the usual as there is an extended period at the start where you stretch your arms overhead/ to the side with a towel/strap. It was just what I needed after a day sat at the desk. Nothing too strenuous but a good stretch.

PatienceOfEngels · 03/10/2024 12:48

YWA Home day 3 (26 mins) at work today. Am heading off for a course and they've put on a live yoga class on Saturday morning before it starts so have signed up.

Yogachick · 03/10/2024 16:40

Am in bed with D&V, have to be helped to the bathroom, so no yoga rn.
keep going you folks, little by little x

Get well soon @Yogachick 💐

I am stuck in a hotel room with only German language TV and dodgy wifi for company so have just done another YWA Home (day 4, 22 minutes) as I have them dowloaded. I'm not used to having so much physical space and time to myself so I can see me getting in more yoga than usual outside my 9-5 course for the next few days. This may counteract the ridiculous amount of eating out I'm about to do 😂

Sooverthemill · 04/10/2024 07:40

Yesterday I did a random barre session ( online) and all day my shoulder was incredibly painful so I’m sitting out today to rest it. Bugger
@Yogachick get well soon, I had that a couple of weeks ago and it was horrid x

PatienceOfEngels · 04/10/2024 15:14

Did YWA Home day 5 (26mins) in my spacious hotel room today. Pretty sure I will do some tonight as well. Really helping me deal with my anxiety.

Poisonwood · 05/10/2024 10:44

@Yogachick I hope you’re feeling better?

Please may I join you? I am a complete beginner, with hypermobility, but really aim to focus as feel SO much better. I’ve been doing yoga with Adrienne videos and also my friend’s yoga teacher has some nice ones…Moksha Yoga with Elizabeth. My children do yoga as part of their daily physiotherapy so I think they find my attempts very funny 😁.

Jumbojem · 05/10/2024 17:28

Welcome @Poisonwood
Those who are suffering at the moment, hope you recover soon.
I am back on the YWA waggon after a break with other yogis. Got a bit bored of her but I have done two more from the rekindle playlist, yoga for courage yesterday which was a nice flow but with a bit more core/plank than I anticipated. Today I did yoga for when you feel dead inside. Was ok but maybe not one I'd return to quickly.
Going to try and get one of the 30 minute plus ones from the playlist done tomorrow before we get back into the working week.

PatienceOfEngels · 05/10/2024 19:50

YWA Home day 6 (25 mins) this morning.

PatienceOfEngels · 06/10/2024 06:41

Day 7 of YWA Home (25 mins) this morning. Standing one to give wrists a break.

Sooverthemill · 06/10/2024 08:57

Welcome @Poisonwood ! Hope yoga helps

so yesterday I did the Nicaraguan flow on the beach I linked earlier ( I love this one) and today I did a flow with Kassandra which was also lovely. Pigeon, warrior 2 etc all great for my hips! Sweet release it’s called

YWA for Beginners this morning (40 min). I did a bedtime one last night which was a nice relax. I’ll try to incorporate evenings as much as I can I think.

Rummikub · 06/10/2024 11:38

Hi all
So I'm in hospital and will be awhile. Life changing stuff I think.
Anyone got any suggestions for yoga for heart? I tried a little warrior pose and it was nice to do!

Sooverthemill · 06/10/2024 15:03

Oh @Rummikub i hope you are okay? So when DD was in hospital I did yoga every day ( I lived with her for 4 months) and I mainly did the refresh yoga from YWA. It was good. I don’t know about yoga for cardio issues though . Sending huge hugs

Jumbojem · 06/10/2024 21:34

@Rummikub so sorry to hear that. As for the Yoga, not really sure but I did do "yoga for the heart" or similar title this week. It was on this month's YWA playlist. Hard to know if she means heart as in a romance way though TBH, but it may have had warrior pose in it.
I did her new one today, Yoga for Overthinking, actually @Rummikub maybe that is one you might try? It had warrior two. Depending how energetic you can be it was a gentle start then got a bit more strenuous and ended with bicycle crunches which are easily skipped if necessary. 33 minutes, felt good to break the half hour mark!

Rummikub · 06/10/2024 22:51

Thank you @Sooverthemill and @Jumbojem it does suck I must say.

Yes unfortunately not of the romance variety.

I asked the cardiac nurse and she said nothing strenuous.
I might try some of the intro ones Adrienne does that are like 5 mins breathing. I think anything deep breathing would be good plus a few held poses.

Poisonwood · 07/10/2024 07:01

@Rummikub I’m sorry to hear that, you’ll be in my thoughts. Is it possible to have physiotherapist input now? I believe you can always request it. They are brilliant at knowing the right movements to help as much as possible and are very pro yoga.

I did a YWA Bedtime yoga for 20min last night and much preferred it to the 10 min one the night before. I’d like to look for some Yin yoga for the evenings too. This morning I’m going to repeat the 40min YWA from yesterday,
