Hello! Making a new thread for Flow devotees to continue our yoga together. Any YWA devotees welcome! ( and it doesn’t have to be flow, I will Repeat flow but may also do Center)

Thanks @Yogachick 10 mins sounds wonderfully doable so will do that in March. I tend to do less yoga once the days get longer and mornings lighten up.
Flow Day 2 for me today. Found it surprisingly hard considering it's the second time round.

narniabusiness · 02/02/2024 18:31

Today’s upper back one from her February calendar for me. I hunch my shoulders a lot so I’m sure it will have done me some good.
Quite a busy day tomorrow but I hope I can fit in the 40 minute one at some point.

Buttalapasta · 02/02/2024 19:32

I found it hard too @Jumbojem

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 02/02/2024 19:38

Upper back from the February calendar done here too.

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 03/02/2024 13:03

I was slightly dubious about a session called "Date Night Yoga", but since I had time on my hands I thought I'd give it a go - and much to my surprise I enjoyed it. A little bit of everything.

froginawell · 03/02/2024 17:12

YouTube said restore and core for me. Was nice, some core work then a very restful bit. I feel super chill now, but suspect my abs will feel it tomorrow!

ErnestCelendine · 03/02/2024 17:34

I've done the Upper Back one a few times - a go to for WFH hunched shoulder syndrome - so skipped that one and went for Yoga for Chefs as it was short and part of the Feb calendar. I did it after a run and it made a great post-run stretch (I figured chefs spend a lot of time on their feet so would be suitable, and I was right!).

Jumbojem · 03/02/2024 19:22

Flow Day 3 here. Left it late and came close to not bothering. I sat on my mat for 10 minutes faffing about on my phone, with dinner time getting closer and closer. Why didn't I just get on with it? My phone will still be there later! Anyway, it is done and it was a nice stretch for the legs.

mynameiscalypso · 03/02/2024 22:34

I almost skipped a day too. An eye infection has been brewing for a few days and it hit in full force today (an amazingly efficient NHS 111 sorted me out with strong antibiotics within an hour of me calling). Definitely didn't feel up to moving but did an old yoga for when you're sick video that was very gentle. Adriene made the point that you tend to hunch up when you're feeling unwell and that's so true; a stretch was just what I needed. It also made me think that there are probably better ways of, to steal a woo phrase, nurturing my body than sitting on the sofa and stuffing my face with a massive bar of Dairy Milk.

I’m a day behind so I’ve just done this one. I agree that it’s a nice session.
Hopefully I’ll catch up on one of the days when there are some shorter practices.

Sorry everyone we went to Paris to celebrate our 25 wedding anniversary and I didn’t post at all! Tomorrow!

I did Lower Back Love today - gentle but a good stretch too. I like seeing the different Adrienes over the years!

froginawell · 04/02/2024 19:33

My YouTube algorithm yoga chose very badly today. I did not want a 23 min power yoga session after 5 hours digging over the allotment today.

Oh well. I did it, that's the main thing

narniabusiness · 04/02/2024 19:36

How fabulous @Sooverthemill I hope you had a wonderful time (and the Parisian rain held off).

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 04/02/2024 20:00

Congratulations @Sooverthemill hope you had an excellent time.

@froginawell - maybe the algorithm knew something you didn't. Hope you re not too sore tomorrow with all your exertions.

I stuck with the February calendar and did today's Detox and Reset. I found it quite challenging at times - especially a move that took you from chair pose into a twist and then sweeping one foot back into a lunge while still in the twist. But good to feel that I am making progress, and one to go back to.

froginawell · 04/02/2024 20:03

Maybe @OhOneOhTwoOhThree

The weird bit is, after a few hours of digging, you start to try to work out how to 'dig with your core'

Adrienne is affecting my mind. She's a virus

I bet there is a yoga for gardeners somewhere in her back catalogue Smile

Oh my word. There actually is!

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 04/02/2024 20:34

Good grief, whatever next?!

Yogachick · 05/02/2024 07:16

Missed a couple of days again. Nothing as joyful as your reason @Sooverthemill -congratulations! Self sabotage again, which really spirals me into negativity, self hatred and feeling low. Back to it today with Day 9 of Kassandra. Gamechanger! Just a short little practice but I feel clean ,healthy and lifted up. I’m taking the in between days as a learning curve🙄

ErnestCelendine · 05/02/2024 07:34

I went for Fill Your Cup from Admire today - 20 mins and pretty gentle but nice way to get going for the day. I have a real life yoga class later so didn't want to break myself before that!

mynameiscalypso · 05/02/2024 10:24

Congratulations @Sooverthemill!

I did Day 2 of Flow yesterday. Might dip back into the Feb calendar today or do Day 3 of Flow. It might depend on how many minutes I need to close the Exercise ring on my Apple Watch...

Buttalapasta · 05/02/2024 12:18

Congratulations @Sooverthemill ! Hope you enjoyed Paris. @yogachick -don[t beat yourself up for missing a day or two. I am really trying to work on that this year too. I missed two days but I decided that in the grand scheme of things, it is better to miss two days and get back into it rather than just give it all up as a bad lot. Be nicer to yourself!

Trickedbyadoughnut · 05/02/2024 14:04

I have just done Day 3 of Flow during my lunchbreak - on Thursday I did the short post-run video as my legs were cooked and then Saturday I did the 20 min hips and lower back video, as it felt like something was "jammed" in my pelvis.

So I'm going to keep working through Flow, but mix it up if I feel I need something different on a given day. I don't want to lose all the plank progress I've made though!

Oh and if anyone is going through Flow and finds the day where she does only does one side, let me know - I know I'm not going to realise!

I did it today - I think it was Day 4.
