Anyone else excited for this? Ready to get going in the new year?

I got all excited when it was announced but just can't get the site to load. Had anyone else managed to get into it?

OP posts:

Bit of a change from yesterday! Some of it was beyond me (side plank, low boat) but I soldiered on with modifications.

froginawell · 26/01/2024 18:20

Either today was a bit hard, or is been a long week at work! Fell out of side plank.

But actually feeling much calmer now is stopped, so I guess I needed it!

narniabusiness · 26/01/2024 18:59

She’d lulled us into a false sense of security with all that gentler stuff the last few days. 😆

Buttalapasta · 26/01/2024 19:47

Today was my first day falling off the wagon. I'm in a tiny hotel room and there's just no room. Will catch up on Sunday!

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 26/01/2024 22:28

I accidentally started yesterday’s video bit quickly realised when it was endless bridge poses (I loathe them) and switched to today. I agree it was hard, but satisfying and I am now definitely ready for bed.

Weepingwillows12 · 27/01/2024 09:59

Missed Tuesday and Wednesday this week due to long hours at work plus a cold. Been doing double to catch up the last few days. Are they suddenly extra hard? So many down dogs and planks and abs work. Never mind am back on track now but slightly wish they had been the "let's get a blanket ones" to double up on 😁

HappyNewYears · 27/01/2024 11:18

I think they have been more full on the last few days. I had a day last week where I missed one so today did 1.5. Hope to do the same tomorrow so I am caught up. If I do the final day on the final day it will be the first time I have kept up. I guess she doesn’t think we need a blanket day when we are so near the end.

UnaOfStormhold · 27/01/2024 12:58

A day behind here. Not a fan of the froggy cobras at all, put way too much pressure on my lower back which isn't a fan of being bent!

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 27/01/2024 13:16

More side planks today (although only one each side). I did it after parkrun and enjoyed the warriors and the bow pose at the end.

I could feel my abs running uphill this morning so something must be working.

bellinisurge · 27/01/2024 13:37

Much cheating by me on the side planks but no regrets for doing so.

CeeCeeDeeBee · 27/01/2024 14:10

I did Monday's session yesterday and Tuesday's this morning. I liked tree pose, but I can never get my foot higher than my calf... it just slips down my thigh! Is there a trick to it?

midgetastic · 27/01/2024 14:14

Press foot into thigh and thigh jnto foot.

Skin on skin

Or else on trousers that are grippy and don't fall down easily

UnaOfStormhold · 27/01/2024 14:19

Yes, the downside of doing yoga at home is that my immediate reaction to being asked to do tree pose is to whip my leggings off for better grip. Which might not go down so well in an in person class!

afaloren · 27/01/2024 15:17

Try as I might I can neither do a side plank nor grab my feet while I’m lying on my front. So I was a bit disheartened today. Still, I tried.

froginawell · 27/01/2024 17:41

Loved today! Like bow pose

EBearhug · 27/01/2024 19:10

I can grab either separately, but I can't manage both without a strap (which wasn't to hand this morning.) I get very close but not quite there. So today, I grabbed my legging hems instead.

With tree, above or below the knee is fine, but not on the knee. I tend to only manage above the knee in summer with shorts.

I did days 24 and 25 today after two days off. I've found myself jumping on and off the wagon this past week as some of the initial motivation has dissipated, however I'm definitely looking more toned and I feel stronger and more balanced overall. I always feel better after the session even if I've had to drag myself to the mat. Determined to complete the month now.

mynameiscalypso · 27/01/2024 21:29

100% do not recommend today's session not long after eating a massive curry.

Sooverthemill · 28/01/2024 13:59

I think I’ve missed posting a few days but have thoroughly enjoyed every single day even today when I really didn’t want to roll out that mat! Nearly finished

Jumbojem · 28/01/2024 14:22

A day behind here, do to travel for work and coming home taking twice the time it should have. It has felt hard work these last few days, but much needed (esp ab work).
But I did hate the frog leg cobra, not good for my lower back and TBH I was surprised to find it included in what, for many, might be their first foray into yoga.
I think I may repeat Flow in Feb, but skip that 9 min meditation day to bring it down to the 29 days that this Feb is.

ErnestCelendine · 28/01/2024 16:32

Am up to date after 3 sessions today 😅 really enjoyed some of the different moves in Day 27.

Loving the habit of daily yoga (when well) and plan to repeat Center for Feb and then come back to Flow.

Rummikub · 28/01/2024 17:23

I’ll do flow in Feb too. The length is good but quite fast for me. Glad there’s a few of us.

afaloren · 28/01/2024 18:35

Liked Day 27 but I’m so far from being able to do plough pose it’s laughable.

Weepingwillows12 · 28/01/2024 18:47

I enjoyed today and managed to get in to plough for the first time ever. Got me reflecting and I can really see the improvement in my flexibility Vs this time last year. Bridge isn't awkward, I can touch my toes in more (not all poses), I can hold plank much longer. Still dislike downward dog but I think I am stronger in it. My hips are more open. No back pain last year for the first time in years. It's great. Slow progress but still progress.

Definitely going to try and keep up daily yoga in February but I do tend to lose some motivation when it's not the January special. Too easy to go and pick one I like rather than one that pushes me. Might repeat an old January one but skip the slow first day and the end do your own stuff day.

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 28/01/2024 19:34

I was not expecting plough today! Just about got my toes to the ground, but couldn't hold it. Let's see how I do when this day goes around next month!
