Anyone else excited for this? Ready to get going in the new year?

I got all excited when it was announced but just can't get the site to load. Had anyone else managed to get into it?

OP posts:

Did anyone else feel uncomfortably ‘seen’ when she says about ‘if you’re just waiting for it to end’ 😂

mynameiscalypso · 21/01/2024 11:15

I found today's quite frustrating, partly the slow pace I think but also holding positions which I struggle to do because of the damage to my joints (20+ years of inflammatory arthritis to thank for that). I don't like reminders of my physical limitations! I do like ending up in happy baby though, always one of my faves.

And yes, @afaloren, I swear she can see me through the TV at times 😂

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 21/01/2024 13:35

I liked both yesterday and today’s sessions. Felt good balancing-although stronger on one side than the other-and went for a run straight after. Todays hip openers felt well timed after a hilly and blustery run.

As others have commented, I am starting to feel more flexible and the transition from down dog to lunge, while still far from elegant, is getting better. My calves are also slightly less tight when running uphill thanks to all the froggy squats.

froginawell · 21/01/2024 18:35

Really liked today, apart from the bit where my left hip made weird noises in the lizard...

Yes, transition into lunges is def improving!

bellinisurge · 21/01/2024 21:25

Today's was great. I'm sure I looked like a hippo but it felt good

Buttalapasta · 22/01/2024 07:48

Found today's really hard which is weird because it didn't look particularly challenging but everything hurt. Couldn't get into any position without getting up and readjusting. Sigh.

Sooverthemill · 22/01/2024 09:14

Oh today was most excellent except obviously I was always facing the wrong way in gate variation! I loved this. Another to repeat

Trickedbyadoughnut · 22/01/2024 09:49

Really enjoyed yesterday's after a hilly long run, was perfect - I had been going to skip it as I thought it would be too much, but I forwarded the video to check what was in it and as it looked like a stretching one, I cracked on.

Had meant to get up earlier to do today's but slept through my alarm. Might try it at lunchtime.

So far in the journey, unexpected benefits I have noticed are: improved plantar fascitiis; increased strength in the hand and finger I broke during last year's 30 days; improved strength for singing (abs and breathing exercises paying off there); better sitting trot when riding!

Clearly I need to carry on with the regular practice and do harder videos (i.e. not mainly the bedtime yoga, short hips, and post-run videos!).

Jumbojem · 22/01/2024 10:20

I enjoyed the gate pose, not one I've done much before so I had to pay a lot of attention a d getting back into a lunge was a bit clunky, so one I need to come back to
Yesterday's, yes, I too felt seen😆 my hips and lower back are tight so those forward bends whilst sitting cross legged are agony for me. I'd already come out of the pose both times Adrienne said about waiting for it to finish!
I feel great for keeping up the practice though and have found it pretty easy to fit it in, even if it meant doing it when of it weren't for the 30 day challenge I'd have not bothered. I'm away a couple of days this week though which is going to test me!

afaloren · 22/01/2024 10:30

@Buttalapasta I found today really hard too. I couldn’t get back and forth into plank/downward dog/lunge etc fast enough and had to do a lot of adjusting. I enjoyed gate pose though, that’s a new one for me.

HappyNewYears · 22/01/2024 11:43

It Felt quite apt that she filmed today’s during a storm. I liked gate pose but was doing yesterday’s and today’s together and got bored before the end. Still I’m pleased I’m pretty much keeping up as I e never managed that before. I’d be interested in picking a different 30 day series to tag onto the end of this one, I think having a thread on here to follow keeps me accountable.

artforartssakemoneyforgodssake · 22/01/2024 12:22

Have had a guest all weekend and have missed three days so I’ve just done 19. Felt good this morning with a faster paced one.

mynameiscalypso · 22/01/2024 12:59

I liked today's as well - lots of side body stretching which I don't think I do enough. I felt quite strong as well which is always very pleasing (and doesn't happen often!). Sneaky abs in there though...

froginawell · 22/01/2024 18:28

Ooooh! Was really not feeling like doing any yoga, but then I loved that session! Fabulous

ErnestCelendine · 22/01/2024 19:13

I've been doubling up to catch up and now am only 3 days behind instead of 8. Now to catch up on the thread.

bellinisurge · 22/01/2024 20:18

Lots of side stretching. Really enjoyable

Weepingwillows12 · 22/01/2024 21:23

Enjoyed today. I like gate pose.

afaloren · 23/01/2024 10:14

Today’s was quite fun. I’ve got terrible balance but I enjoyed all the sun salutations.

HappyNewYears · 23/01/2024 13:27

That seemed like it should’ve been an easy session but I really struggled to motivate myself. Still I’m impressed I’m still here keeping up, there seem to be less posters each day.

TooTiredToType77 · 23/01/2024 14:20

Joining in the thread. I'm so chuffed that I've only missed one session and caught up the next day as it was the 10 min meditation one after I missed one!

I had a rubbish night ls sleep last night n but had a go at todays session in my pj's and felt 100% better for it. Love her chattyness and and everything about these sessions ❤️

EBearhug · 23/01/2024 14:22

I quite enjoyed today. I like tree, even on wobbly days. And I managed the quad stretches without falling over. I didn't used to be able to do quad stretches with my knee at much tighter than a 90° angle.

narniabusiness · 23/01/2024 19:23

I enjoyed today’s too. I always like a balancing pose whether I can do it or not. I think this 30 days has been perfectly paced in terms of the different activities.

froginawell · 23/01/2024 20:33

Agree with you all, that was a lovely one again. I do feel like my ankles should wobble less in tree pose, but I do enjoy it

Knackerelli · 23/01/2024 21:36

Oh I was definitely a swaying tree tonight 😂 I enjoyed it though, nicely stretched my legs out after a run. 🏃‍♂️

bellinisurge · 23/01/2024 21:41

Looking at some of the trees out the window at the moment, I think I was definitely like that
