Hi everyone. This is the new thread for yoga with Adrienne devotees trying to do a daily practice based on Center ( or Move, or Home, or True…). A friendly thread to hang out and boost each other.

Oo day 8 center. A deceptively stretchy practice. One to remember for the difficult days.
And Benji 😍

Day 7 Center. Like a Move practice from last year. I like the variety. Shall I do Day 8 tonight or skip straight to Day 9 tomorrow?

Jumbojem · 08/03/2023 20:26

Hello, another here who is still doing the yoga but not posted in a while!

Day 8 Move today, not one of my faves. I loved Day 7 flow and really ought to repeat all the Day 6s more frequently as my core needs serious work.
I am enjoying repeating Centre though, I don't seem to remember much of it! Those little mini push ups from a couple of days back, I was def stronger in those this time around which was satisfying.

@Yogachick are you doing the original first 30 day series? Is it one you'd recommend? I definitely want to branch out into one of the older series next month.

happytobemrsg · 08/03/2023 20:45

Seems to be 2 days on, 2 days off for me at the moment but I’m ok with that. Work has been particularly hard lately

Thank you 😊 Yes, he is very useful 😂

hoochycrone · 09/03/2023 09:38

Center day 9

No I don't remember much of this either 😂

But, half plank push ups and humble warrior were ok

Rewarded myself with new adidas leggings 🤗 yes, the product placement is working 🙄

I do my yoga on the carpet but I’ve noticed that my hands and feet are slipping in down dog. I feel it might be time to invest in a yoga mat. Could anyone recommend one? I’ve seen them vary in price from £30 to £130. I have been doing Adrienne’s yoga for over a year now so it will get some use.

notanicepersonapparently · 09/03/2023 13:20

More info. I did an in person yoga class at a spa hotel in the summer and I smelt of yoga mat afterwards. I don’t want one that does that 😢

Sooverthemill · 07/03/2023 09:23

Thank you everyone, it's possibly a little better today and I just did some shoulder and neck stretches from an ancient session of Adrienne's. Watched by my largest ( ie really chunky) cat with disdain. Good job he doesn't lie on me but he has been known to jump on my back during plank!

Your cat is like your own personal trainer 😀

newmumtotwo24 · 09/03/2023 16:09

Very short one for me today. After getting my into it I developed a cold, went to practise today while toddler is a nursery and I thought my head was going to explode when we transitioned to down dog! Carried on gently for a little bit but it eventually got too uncomfortable. But I did about 10mins which is better than nothing.

hoochycrone · 09/03/2023 16:27

Ooo I got a really cheap one from Amazon fitbeast, as I thought I would quickly lose interest 😂🤣😂
It's been ok, though it does smell!
Others on here have some lovely mats. I'm just a bit stingy ☺️

hoochycrone · 09/03/2023 16:30

Interesting review of mats

Thanks @hoochycrone the Telegraph article had a lot of good info.

Center Day 9. Corazon. Again it felt really tough. Don't know if I am putting more effort in or if I am still unfit. It's now 2 months since Covid took me off the mat. I wasn't enjoying yoga today. Hopefully a good sleep to night and yoga will be fun tomorrow

Yogachick · 09/03/2023 20:31

@Jumbojem i am doing the original first 30 days. I’m enjoying it,dont think I’ve ever done it before. Though there is FAR too many boat poses so far.
I had no time this morning to practice so I came to the mat like a sulky child this evening to do Day 5 of OG 30 days. Evening yoga is not my favourite. I went through the motions at first ,grumpy in my head that I ‘had’ to yoga but by the ,of course,as always, I feel so much better. It’s also stopped me sitting and mindlessly eating,a self destruct path I’m on a bit, after the fibro flare and exhausted aftermath. Tomorrow is another day x

VerbenaView · 09/03/2023 21:59

Hello all, not been on for a few days as yoga triggered my sciatica so I've been doing some neck and shoulder stretches that have been good after my long work days.

Yogachick · 10/03/2023 08:16

Day 6 OG 30 days-6 pack abs. Everything I dread. I. Far far too much into my hip flexors, however I try to do the easy version and take breaks.
Any improvement @Sooverthemill ?

I haven't skipped a day since January 2nd and I'm still finding it tough (and have not had covid!) Be kind to yourself! Actually I am a bit disheartened at how painful and difficult I still find it (still can't step forward with my right foot from a lunge for example). But I keep on reminding myself that perfect is not the point.

Sooverthemill · 10/03/2023 09:01

Oh my goodness I managed to do an upper back session today ( kassandra) and it was so lovely to be back in the mat. I genuinely miss it when I don't get to do my daily practice. Osteopath after lunch and I hope she can fix me a bit more

SunUpSunDown · 10/03/2023 09:17

@Sooverthemill Hope you feel better fast!

hoochycrone · 10/03/2023 09:21

Oh Soover, hope you have a good time at the osteopath. You are amazing.

Oh yes, day 10 center sometimes so hard with knee to nose thing and side planks 😮

But, I always feel better after. And for the space of the session, my washing machine head is switched off 😂

OopNorfDahnSarf · 10/03/2023 13:40

Day 10 Center. I had a good night's sleep so enjoyed the yoga more. It was FAST. I like feeling that I am doing something good for my body and my mind so I will keep going.
Those of you who have done Center and Move, is Center easier?

midgemadgemodge · 10/03/2023 14:06

I am finding move easier having sone centre in January than I did last year

Sooverthemill · 10/03/2023 17:29

I don't think it's 'easier'. I think it's got a whole different ethos really. Move may be slightly tougher physically but if you do CENTER mindfully it's just as good for your body and your mind

the osteopath gave me acupuncture today. Am resting
