Hi everyone. This is the new thread for yoga with Adrienne devotees trying to do a daily practice based on Center ( or Move, or Home, or True…). A friendly thread to hang out and boost each other.

Sometimes going through the motions is all we can do @CeeCeeDeeBee but it’s always better than not doing x

notanicepersonapparently · 05/03/2023 17:21

Day 5 Center complete with leg baby! I’d forgotten that little oddity 😁

Sooverthemill · 05/03/2023 19:59

I like leg baby! She often uses it in videos

Just done Move day 24. Another good one. Especially since I went for a run earlier today - it included lots of downdogs, forward folds, lunges, so all the main stretches covered.

I really liked the warrior 3 flow - very challenging! (Moving between one legged mountain and warrior 3).

Well I must say my hips feel very comfy so there must be something in it.

Buttalapasta · 05/03/2023 21:28

I liked the weird leg baby too! I also found the mountain climber movements not easy but also not as completely impossible as they felt in January. Yay progress!

newmumtotwo24 · 06/03/2023 06:04

I am back!!!!!! Did 13 days of move in Feb then kids not sleeping and illness meant I just did not make it to the mat. Lost my mojo a bit after that but today I decided it was time to get back onto the mat. Gone back to centre because after so long out I think I need to go back to gentle. Plus the shorter one's definitely made it easier for me to 'show up' probably won't be an everyday thing for me as I think I'll be more likely to stop again but I'm hoping to stay consistent 🤞🏼

ScottishBeth · 06/03/2023 07:44

@newmumtotwo24 welcome back! I hope everybody is recovered from sickness. And yes, if daily yoga doesn't work for you it's sensible to plan for doing it regularly instead.

Sooverthemill · 06/03/2023 08:33

No yoga that's two days running. This bloody shoulder. I salute all of you still going

hoochycrone · 06/03/2023 09:55

Ooo, poor shoulder, soover!

Yes, agree that we need to do what suits us. It needs to be sustainable.

Felt yuck today, but turned up. Someone sneezing all over me in church yesterday maybe 🙄

Day 6 center, the lying on the mat one doing core/belly things.

It felt really good and I'm so glad I had a go. She is so encouraging, and even tough movements don't last long.

Doing center again makes me realise that I am better. Those mountain climber things yesterday I found nigh on impossible in January.

hoochycrone · 06/03/2023 09:56

Welcome back @newmumtotwo24 Grin

newmumtotwo24 · 06/03/2023 10:27

Thanks all, it was a awful stomach bug that luckily only I caught but absolutely floored me especially while also looking after 2 under 2! Looking forward to getting back into semi regular yoga. Today is a slow day so might even do two while I'm feeling all energised!

Yogachick · 06/03/2023 13:50

Welcome back @newmumtotwo24 ! Sympathy for your poorly shoulder @Sooverthemill , I hope you’re getting some help.
I was a no show yesterday. 15 hours sleep then napping through the day has just about got Bastard Fibro back in the cage. Day 2 of original 30 days was tough this morning. Onwards and upwards!

happytobemrsg · 06/03/2023 20:45

I’m still going strong! Day 4 of Move today “Flow”. I felt very strong sweeping up to a standing lunge. I’m getting a bit better at transitioning I think

Chimna · 06/03/2023 21:44

Haven't been updating but managed 6 days of move so far. Day 6 still difficult but feels so effective.

VerbenaView · 06/03/2023 21:57

Haven't posted for a few days, but I'm still practicing Center daily. Today, Day 6, my poor stomach muscles, but it was easier than last month and January.

I'm feeling so tired, every single day, and I am still showing up, I thank you guys for this, as I feel accountable. I am so thankful the Adrienne's series, as I don't have to find a session each day, I just do the correct day - I am certain that this is why I'm still showing up.

Yogachick · 07/03/2023 07:51

Day of OG 30 Days. Lots of balancing in this one,one side definitely better than the other. Wide legged forward fold as well and a little plough. I love plough,it’s rarely shown. My range is more limited with my boobs and belly in the way but I’ll get there.
Hows the shoulder@Sooverthemill ?

hoochycrone · 07/03/2023 08:32

Well done @Chimna and @VerbenaView ☺️

Thinking of those under the weather

Gosh yes, we're still there though!

Day 7 of center. Don't remember it being so fast!

Had to pretend that Ihad @Sooverthemill's little cat on my shins when I was lowering my back onto the mat. My dog had gone off to woof at some fairies in the garden 🙄

OopNorfDahnSarf · 07/03/2023 09:00

Morning. Day 6 of Center. I missed yesterday because of work and having sore hips from cradling the baby on Day 5. Day 6 didn't feel as tough to me as the previous days. I missed forward fold today. I never thought I would say that.
I feel as though this run through Center is entirely different to the previous one. Weird

Sooverthemill · 07/03/2023 09:23

Thank you everyone, it's possibly a little better today and I just did some shoulder and neck stretches from an ancient session of Adrienne's. Watched by my largest ( ie really chunky) cat with disdain. Good job he doesn't lie on me but he has been known to jump on my back during plank!

notanicepersonapparently · 07/03/2023 17:40

Sorry to hear about your shoulder pain OP. I hope you are better soon.
center day 7 today. Active flow which I really enjoyed.

ScottishBeth · 07/03/2023 18:16

@Yogachick hope your fibro pain has eased a bit. I also love plough pose! I just do it when I'm sat on the floor - don't think I've ever come across it in yoga.

@Sooverthemill I hope your shoulder continues to improve.

Today I did an 18 minute Yoga for Runners cool down. I'd had a terrible night and been for a run (just day 2 of C25k) so I thought one of the Move sessions would likely be too much for. The one I did was lovely and stretchy.

CeeCeeDeeBee · 07/03/2023 20:32

Missed a couple of days (hello, migraines) but did day 5 of Move just now. Lots of lovely hip openers, really enjoyed it.

Yogachick · 08/03/2023 06:46

Day 4 OG 30 days. Yoga for your back. Delicious

SunUpSunDown · 08/03/2023 08:59

I'm back everyone! I well and truly fell off the wagon after injuring my shoulder at the gym, plus life just got in the way. (Wretched hyper mobility - I was being so careful too which made it even more annoying!!!) Thankfully, DH is a chiropractor, so I've made the most of that. Anyway, I'm back, doing Move this time (carefully!), and planning to keep it consistent😀
