Yay! It's day 0 and the video is up ( at 6.03 for me). Let's do this! What a lovely gentle way to start. See you all tomorrow when we actually do a little bit of yoga.

Enjoyed day 25 - Amor. Live a but if pigeon pose!!

Good grief. Long day obviously.

Love a bit of pigeon pose!

Weepingwillows12 · 26/01/2023 20:14

Going to have to come back to amor. Was late back from work, kids are tired and grumpy and playing up, one of them is full of cold so after being interrupted 5 times in 18 minutes I called it quits and am I now sitting on the youngests floor holding his hand whilst he goes to sleep. Sometimes doing what feels right isn't forcing yourself to fit it in when there isn't time I guess. But I did some of it anyway so might repeat tomorrow lunch then do tomorrows in the evening.

Chimna · 26/01/2023 21:16

I also enjoyed day 25. I was abot fidgety tonight but a lovely all around practice.

BestIsWest · 26/01/2023 22:06

Missed yesterday - I completely forgot, mind on a few appointments today. Slept really badly but did 24 this afternoon and promptly fell asleep for two hours.
Camel looks easy but I couldn’t reach my feet at all. She is so bendy!

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 26/01/2023 22:38

Day 25 done here too. I think this is definitely the furthest I’ve ever gone on a YWA 30 day journey - I’ve started plenty but don’t think I have ever finished one (on time, at least)

VerbenaView · 26/01/2023 22:42

D25, the lying on the side with bent knee poses were great, definitely one to measure improvement over time. and the inner leg out to the side pose, ouch, my inner thighs really felt that, in a good way. I don't think I do pigeon right, I feel just past the crease point of the bent leg, almost like the skin is being pulled too tight. I've looked at video explanations and I'm still feeling it the same.
5 days to go, I'm so pleased you guys have been here for the journey, I love reading your comments.

happytobemrsg · 26/01/2023 22:46

took a while to get going for be today but ended up enjoying it. I feel nice & stretched 😂

happytobemrsg · 26/01/2023 22:48

Is there a consensus on what we are going to do next? Are we doing Centre again or are we doing Move? Or a mixture of both?

Rummikub · 26/01/2023 23:25

I think Center could do with another go. I’d like to see the build up like we did with move.
Whats everyone else’s preference?

Buttalapasta · 27/01/2023 06:37

I vote Move. I like Center but I want to apply myself to Move now as I found it more challenging. I wouldn't mind alternating them each month!

Day 23, I was nowhere near in camel pose, my back is rather rigid, it'll be interesting to see how I progress over the year.

A complementary pose to prepare for camel which is quite a strong backbend, is cobra (lying on stomach and coming up gently onto your hands with bent elbows). Cobra is nice and supportive and you can come up as far as your back allows you, over time your back starts to yield and it becomes less fierce. It can take a while to become flexible but it's worth it!

also, you can have your toes bent in camel, rather than feet flat on the mat, which raises your heels upwards and makes the backward stretch and reach slightly less 👍

daisychain01 · 27/01/2023 06:41

Tonight I will double up with Day 25 and 26, as I', a day behind. Friday is always a nice yoga day for me as I finish early on .Fridays and have a bit more time yay.

Fandangles · 27/01/2023 06:47

Day 26 done - one of my favourites! When I read the email, I thought it sounded like a slow breathy practice which I didn’t fancy today but it was quite fast paced and energising. Loved it!

I think I’ll try move after this, I haven’t done it before and it sounds like it might be a little step up

Prestissimo · 27/01/2023 07:11

I did a double of 24 and 25 last night. Really needed a longer session after a crappy day at work and enjoyed it. I've never done camel before but have a bendy back so that was fine. My pigeon still needs work although I love it.

I'd be up for either more Center (there are several I'd like to have another go at) or Move after this. Move is definitely more 'physical' in some ways but I feel that Center has untapped depths - it's definitely been a grower.

Gufo · 27/01/2023 07:32

I vote Move - it would be good to see if working through Center makes Move feel any different.

Rummikub · 27/01/2023 08:07

I think I was ready for a change after a year of move.

Sooverthemill · 27/01/2023 08:19

Day 26 was pretty good!

Sooverthemill · 27/01/2023 08:20

I think I’d like another month of Center tbh. It’s really doing me good to be so mindful. Happy to host both though

Rummikub · 27/01/2023 08:33

That’s a good plan soover. The more yoga chat the better!
it really keeps me motivated reading others posts.

notanicepersonapparently · 27/01/2023 08:35

I’d be up for either Move or Center. Earlier on I thought Move definitely, but Center has grown on me in the last week.

ScottishBeth · 27/01/2023 08:53

Oh no! I dont know how I'll choose! If some people do one and some do another.

I want to do both again, but just one at a time!

Its so nice that so many of us are still going. This is the first time I've done a 30 day series in 30 days (well, hopefully), and I'm really enjoying it.

melonraspberry · 27/01/2023 09:41

I enjoyed today as well. Would be up for either now. It might be interesting to see if we enjoy center more the second time around.

melonraspberry · 27/01/2023 09:41

I’ve enjoyed the last week of Center and I’m starting to appreciate the benefits of a slower practice

hoochyhag · 27/01/2023 09:44

Day 26

Liked the warrior 2 loop.

I'm happy to do any, being a newbie.

You are a lovely host Soover.

Right what @Weepingwillows12 said about doing what's right for us. This is such a relaxed group it encourages me to keep doing it daily.

happytobemrsg · 27/01/2023 10:35

If @Sooverthemill is kind enough to host both, then I think I’ll do Move next and give it a go (this is my first ever 30 days)
