Welcome @LollipopsandCrisps glad to have you here!

Congratulations to your DS @BestIsWest and I hope you all had a lovely day.

Well done @Shannith that's great progress especially the crow!

We have been travelling the last few days so didn't manage to fit in any yoga but did Day 10 today and felt like I really needed it.

@Sooverthemill Hope you are ok and all don't suffer with it too much! Take it easy if you can!

BestIsWest · 10/04/2022 18:38

I did day 10 and have no recollection of ever doing it before! In other news, I still can’t do cobra to plank but can now do cobra to all fours and then all fours to plank. So some progress!

@Sooverthemill hope you feel better. Tested DD and DH this morning but thankfully negative.

Welcome any newcomers and well done everyone else for keeping on. This thread is great for moral support.

WorriedMutha · 10/04/2022 20:55

I'm so glad to have found this thread and am on the journey with you.
There were many times during lockdown that I embarked on a few Youtube exercise sessions but crucially, there were none that I stuck to regularly.
I think the beauty of Adrienne is they are fairly short (compared to a class) and not overly demanding. I've always thought it is better to do easier poses very well than to do advanced stuff badly.
Above all, I think I am finding the motivation to stick to it for the same reason that I do Duolingo. If anyone else does Duo they will know what I mean. You get a daily streak count and advance up the league tables the more units you do.
It's the daily nudge that keeps me going. Counting the days and reading your comments. That's what brings me to my mat every day.
And Benji obvs....

BestIsWest · 10/04/2022 21:10

@WorriedMutha yes! I know what you mean. I’m doing Welsh on Duolingo, 813 days (and I still can’t speak it in public). I only hope my Yoga one will last as long.

I think these sessions are just right in length for me.

Sooverthemill · 11/04/2022 08:43

@LollipopsandCrisps and @WorriedMutha welcome. I really love doing yoga ( almost) every day and this thread has helped a lot. BUT still poorly so no yoga today. That makes me sad but I'm not risking it. Hopefully tomorrow

@Sooverthemill Sorry you are still poorly, but yes, rest definitely sounds a good plan.

I'm keeping up so far...doing a training day today and I had to be on site for 0730, but I set my alarm early and managed to get it done before I left home. I always find if I push it to the end of the day that I am probably not going to do it!

Sooverthemill · 12/04/2022 09:43

No yoga today. Very sad

BestIsWest · 12/04/2022 09:53

@Sooverthemill sorry you’re not well. Take care and try and get some rest.

guinnessguzzler · 12/04/2022 14:59

Yes, hope you start to feel better soon!

SunUpSunDown · 12/04/2022 17:50

I actually managed six seconds in crow pose today (well, I counted very fast!!!). Finding that doing yoga daily seems to be increasing my awareness generally and creating a little space between stuff happening and me responding to it...if that makes any sense at all!

@Sooverthemill hope you'll be well enough to get back to it tomorrow.

Rifling · 12/04/2022 18:02

Amazing! I'm still a long way off (put your knees in your armpits??!)

Hope you feel better soon @Sooverthemill

OopNorfDahnSarf · 12/04/2022 18:14

For those of you on the Semantle thread as well I managed Day 12 and Semantle before 9am today. A great start to the day.

Hope you feel better soon Sooverthemill and well enough to start turning up to the mat.

BestIsWest · 12/04/2022 19:02

Well done on the Semantle! It usually takes me until lunchtime at least to get there. Infuriating thing.
Day 12 done. Crow - no chance.

SunUpSunDown · 12/04/2022 19:09

I've given up putting my knees in my arm pits! It was far too painful, and I found that by resting my arms flatter against my legs, it doesn't hurt and I actually stand half a chance of getting my toes off the floor without face planting :-D

Rummikub · 12/04/2022 19:41

Day 11 partly completed today I’m going for a little everyday is better than waiting for a perfect time.

I checked out semantle. And I’m already hooked! And confused.

Woah!! That’s amazing!!

@Sooverthemill

guinnessguzzler · 13/04/2022 07:38

I have no idea what Semantle is, I will have to look it up as I'm intrigued now!

Well done on the crow @SunUpSunDown I also find trying to get knees into armpits unhelpful but can manage otherwise as you describe.

Hope you are starting to feel better @Sooverthemill

UnaOfStormhold · 13/04/2022 09:18

Yes, I sort of rest my shins on my upper arms (for my 2-3 seconds of Crow) which seems to be much less painful than armpits - maybe armpits is something I can work towards!

Best wishes for a speedy recovery @Sooverthemill.

Sooverthemill · 13/04/2022 14:32

Thanks all. Beginning to feel a little better but I'm just off for a nap! Cannot get through without one

OP posts:
stillherenow · 13/04/2022 17:33

I really don't like (attempting ) crow. During that bit on day 13 today I just did some other stretches

SunUpSunDown · 13/04/2022 18:04

Day 13 done...I fell over a few times today trying to do half moon, and crow was just not happening!

BestIsWest · 13/04/2022 21:44

I can’t do half moon at all but at least it feels like something I might achieve with practice. Whereas crow…

stillherenow · 14/04/2022 08:43

I woke up today and yoga was one of the first things I thought about ! Who am I ?!!

OopNorfDahnSarf · 14/04/2022 11:23

Morning all. Did Day 13 & 14 today after a day off yesterday. Day 13 was fast. I couldn't keep up.
Nearly halfway through. I would love to get to Day 30 this time.

Sooverthemill · 14/04/2022 12:28

Well done all!
