Day 6 was tough again for me this time. I really do find core work hard too. I can see improvement with my planks, including forearm plank, but that then took it out of me for the rest of the session!

WorriedMutha · 06/04/2022 14:33

Day 6 was the toughest yet for me and it was about 7 minutes shorter than the norm. I think I like these sessions being bite sized. It never feels too onerous.
It makes it more doable As does being in a group chat of fellow travellers.

BestIsWest · 06/04/2022 16:10

I don’t mind 6 as there is not too much cobra to plank going on. I did struggle a bit with the lie on hip and lift because my right shoulder is weak - but I couldn’t manage it at all last time.

Sooverthemill · 07/04/2022 08:31

Day 7 was delicious. I had almost forgotten it and I must favourite it as it's perfect for stretching me out

Yes, another Day 7 fan here!

Rummikub · 07/04/2022 12:15

Just skipped dsy 6 and did day 7.

I had to watch her when she she said rest your right hand on the back of your left thigh... I couldn’t reach that far at all!

SunUpSunDown · 07/04/2022 13:05

Day 7 just completed and I really enjoyed this one. I can still feel my abs from yesterday's practice!

BestIsWest · 07/04/2022 21:30

Day 7 done. Another tiring day today and another long motorway drive so didn’t get to do it until after dinner and probably didn’t give it my all. Still, it’s done.

Sooverthemill · 08/04/2022 08:56

Day 8! Wasn't super happy for this one, it's my least favourite I think, it feels like a waste of yoga time BUT actually I enjoyed it but did fast forward through the breathing.

Morning all.

Day 7 this morning. Loved it. Going to try Day 8 this evening. Is this the one with the funny breathing?

Rifling · 08/04/2022 13:13

Hello. I did day 6 today as I'd skipped it and decided it was better to skip the rest as I'd already had a day off! I'd written down last month that day 6 made my shoulders hurt rather than my core - and that is still true today.

Rummikub · 08/04/2022 13:27

Yes that’s the one- with the nostril breathing.

I did day 8 this morning. I do like the stretches.

SunUpSunDown · 08/04/2022 18:13

Day 8 just done. I enjoyed this one more than I have when I've done similar ones in the past. I did a 90 minute vinyasa class at my local studio today, so I think that helped, as I'd got all my wriggly energy out then!

SunUpSunDown · 09/04/2022 08:07

Day 9 in the bag. One thing I love about yoga is how when I slow stuff down, I can really feel my body working. Seems to be so much more beneficial than when I rush through the poses.

Sooverthemill · 09/04/2022 08:13

@SunUpSunDown totally agree. The not rushing through is what I'm enjoying most.
Having said that I'm not doing yoga today. We are all ill and fear covid. Cough, runny nose, breathless etc

Day 9. Child's pose at the beginning felt too much for the hips but it got better. I enjoyed the tree balances.

LollipopsandCrisps · 09/04/2022 12:26

I'd love to join if you'll have me!

Started hotpodyoga and cannot afford to keep going 3 times a week - I love the idea of daily practice with some motivation alongside you lovely people!

Yoga mat at the ready! I start today.

I hope you feel better v soon. Lots of friends are getting Covid now after avoiding for 2 years!

Rummikub · 09/04/2022 12:35

Just completed day 9 curious. I do like her. She wobbles and falls and laughs. Then encourages you to fall too. Practise falling. A metaphor for life!

Shannith · 09/04/2022 13:59

I've been terrible at remembering to post but I'm still on the journey.

I've got ahead of myself so did day 9 to ease myself in as it's mostly breathing then 13 and 14 together. And day 21 because I've decided I'm going to do that everyday as a summer thing.

I sound like a savage! I'm really not - I was just a bit achy from riding ages with no stirrups.

Now I'm on my third mo th and the things she says are making more sense in that I can actually feel something - so engage your core etc. and I whispered "I am strong" with surprise - because I actually felt strong rather than "I. Am. Strong. Am I fuck".

I even managed to lift both feet off the floor in crow but before anyone gets excited it was more a millisecond weird jump. But still, it's massive progress.

And I can now do yoga squat with flat feet and hands in prayer - I even managed to understand what she meant when she said use your elbows to push your thighs out. Which made no sense to me at all as I was sweating with both heels raised. I never in a million years thought I'd be able to do that.

It's really clever how she does it - because it's not like she does loads of squat stuff but something is working/loosening up/making me stronger.

So sorry to hear you are all poorly. Hope you bounce back fast whatever it is Thanks

Day 9 done. I missed day 8 as it was DS’ graduation yesterday and a long day but since it was day 8 I don’t feel too bad.

OopNorfDahnSarf · 10/04/2022 10:49

Day 10. Hurray, for the first time I can detect an improvement in flexibility since last month. I feel calm and relaxed.

Sooverthemill · 10/04/2022 11:31

No yoga today. Resting
