Day 18 done today
Is that fold over pigeon possible even?!

And when she put her right leg over the left thight while seated ... err what??
So I modified those.

Happy to stRt from day 1 again. I always fall behind as I only manage half the week. But it all helps

BestIsWest · 20/03/2022 16:38

21 and a good abs work out. I might do this one a few times. I’ve just realised I must have missed one too as it’s the 20th.

Shannith · 20/03/2022 17:37

@BestIsWest I do 21 a few times a week as it feels like it targets my lower stomach and is helping my core strength.

@Shinyandnew2022 sorry! I found second time around that as I've got stronger the mountain climbers were ok.

Day 22 for me today and warrior 3 is... challenging. She says hold onto something but I find if I do that I never improve so in the spirit of the more I do it the more it eventually all comes together I had a bash.

Today I had one of those days, despite the wobbles, where it all clicks and I felt like I was moving like her. At the moment that's about once every 10 days so I enjoyed it while it lasted.

Definitely up for doing it all again. This has been so great and a has kickstarted me out of a rut.

Sooverthemill · 20/03/2022 19:25

Well done @Shannith that's brilliant

Day 10 today felt quite stretching if you will pardon the pun. 😀

Shinyandnew2022 · 20/03/2022 22:24

@Shannith don't worry I am very impressed you found it so enjoyable and doable
My core was so weak before and is so much improved but even day 21 short blast was quite hard work.
Maybe doing it more often is the answer

Sooverthemill · 21/03/2022 08:36

Ooh day 21 today! Dreaded it and was in a very bad mood as I'd discovered I hadn't renewed car insurance ( sure I did but I am a bit tired) but I blasted through it! Not easy but very doable

Day 22 today and I enjoyed it. I redid day 20 not because I'm a savage but because the foster dog absolutely loves it (me doing yoga) and comes and investigates and is generally more confident moving about.

He does biiiggggg stretches when I do so excellent motivation. Having foster dogs is a great reminder for me that things take a long long time and I learn to celebrate the smallest wins - ditto with yoga for me.

guinnessguzzler · 21/03/2022 10:47

Aargh, Day 21! How can 12 minutes be so hard?! Might add something more relaxing in later too.

BestIsWest · 21/03/2022 13:16

It might be only 12 minutes but good grief, I’m feeling it the day after!

rifling · 21/03/2022 19:18

Did day 20 and 21 today so I could catch up with you lot!

Shinyandnew2022 · 21/03/2022 20:05

Day 22 done today. Enjoyed it but also find warrior 3 quite hard and had to hold on to something for quite a bit of it.

I can't believe there is a week to go !

UnaOfStormhold · 21/03/2022 22:08

Day 6 completed for the third time this year, definitely can feel myself getting stronger!

Sooverthemill · 22/03/2022 07:48

Day 22 done! I really felt the impact of day 21 today. Ouch. I can't stay in warrior 3 for more than a few moments sadly but I am improving I think. And when she does the knees, chest chin thingy I get very confused as she describes it differently each time and I follow her voice not her actions. Oh well. But a good day

Day 11 done. I feel serene.

BestIsWest · 22/03/2022 21:53

23 done and a bit of a toughie for me but much needed after a stressful day.

Sooverthemill · 23/03/2022 07:58

Day 23! That was harder than I remember. Is it just me or is everyone the same in not being able to get both bum cheeks down on the mat when I'm seated forward fold elbows on mat? I can only get one side down at a time. It's tricky! Otherwise that was nice and stretchy for me

OP posts:
BestIsWest · 23/03/2022 09:54

I can’t bend my knees enough to allow myself to fold forward enough to get my elbows on the mat! So my bum cheeks stay firmly in place on the mat.

OopNorfDahnSarf · 23/03/2022 17:41

Day 12 today. Posting here to keep track.

Sooverthemill · 24/03/2022 08:41

Day 24 done. The balance for one legged tadasana is good on right leg and rubbish on left leg. I need to practice. This is a lovely flow though

BestIsWest · 24/03/2022 16:46

25 done but only just. I was so stressed, two phone calls interrupted my start and maybe I wasn’t in the zone or whatever because I really struggled. Pigeon to 3 legged dog? Not on your Nelly. I feel a bit downhearted but I know it will get better.

Sooverthemill · 25/03/2022 07:45

Day 25 done. Oh @BestIsWest I was coming on to say how happy I was that I could do pigeon to 3 legged dog with such ease! Sorry. I loved this session today even though I don't really like the breath stuff at the beginning I did it and of course it did help the session. Adrienne is so clever.

OP posts:
BestIsWest · 25/03/2022 08:08

Oh well done! @Sooverthemill
I just don’t have the flexibility or strength(yet!)
Didn’t help that I wasn’t in the mood but I did feel better after.

Shannith · 25/03/2022 08:57

Day 27 done - I've been doing my daily fox but keep forgetting to post.

I was stiff from a dressage lesson yesterday- anyone who thinks we just sit there is welcome to try and get my horse to "bounce" Grinand in a rush and groaned when I saw it was a strength one. I forced myself through it and it had its normal positive effect but I can't say I enjoyed it. But I've mostly been enjoying it so swings and roundabouts.

Shannith · 25/03/2022 09:05

Also my trainer has suggested I see her physio as despite my yoga adventures my pelvis is still wonky - certainly my right leg behaves far better than my left so it will be interesting to see what she says.

For everyone whose struggling to do various bits - my experience as someone who struggled to all the bits is that with time and consistent practice you'll be amazed. For me it's never been quick but I get there in the end - even the bits where I'm convinced I'm just not built the correct way.

What changed things for me was forcing/encouraging myself to do movements "properly", uncomfortable as that was and gradually "properly" became my new normal.

And interestingly (to me) doing move every day for a couple of months has has a bigger effect than much longer trying to fix specific things. I'm sure it all added up but trusting Adrienne to build a program that improves everything bit by bit has been eye opening. So stick with it!
