Thank you @Merrymouse. Funnily enough it’s the warrior poses I like best

Thanks guinessguzzler. I tried Day 5 and found it more manageable than Day 4. I might try Day 4 again another time

SpottyBumPony · 12/03/2022 14:16

The last Adrienne I did left me quite stiff in my sides do I had a few days off. I had yoga class last night, I'm getting more rhythm to the movements I think and used my hands to hook my leg forward for lunges.

BestIsWest · 12/03/2022 20:53

Thank you for the mat recommendations. I will have a look around.

Hope your DD improves @Sooverthemill

Day 13. Hahahaha. Struggled with the one legged bending over pose and crow is never going to happen. Hard.

guinnessguzzler · 13/03/2022 09:11

Yes, I did Day 13 today and found it hard although I can actually get into flight with crow for a few breaths now. I enjoyed having a go with the balancing though, so much that I did some tree poses after just for a bit extra.

Rummikub · 13/03/2022 09:15

Wow @guinnessguzzler
Flight?? It just seems impossible to me. I watched her in awe as she she did.

Sooverthemill · 13/03/2022 09:42

@guinnessguzzler well done!
Did day 11 today. Short and sweet. Still trying not to hurry though which is so tempting but paying attention really helps me do poses better

Day 27 done, had forgotten how much knee to elbow there was!

Rummikub · 13/03/2022 13:26

Day 14 yesterday
Day 15 today
Knocking on heavens door.. why’s it called that? I feel really silly doing it but then get into it.
I noticed she says invitation to lift up the corners of your mouth (like a smile?) which I did and felt my mood lift!
I can see there’s still a lot that I’m not doing. But I’m trying not to fiocus on that and instead be happy I showed up!

Rummikub · 13/03/2022 13:27

There’s a lot knee to elbow which I find hard! I drag my knee forward!
rifling · 13/03/2022 15:22

I did day 13 and then ended up doing day 14 too as it was on autoplay and I couldn't be bothered to get up and switch it off! That's amazing @guinnessguzzler. I am still along way off crow.

Jumbojem · 13/03/2022 21:51

I'm still well behind with daily practice. I've also gone rogue and am now just picking YWA videos which either match the time I have, or what I feel needs attention. Recently I've been doing some of her yoga for runners ones as I've got a half marathon soon (scarily soon!) and have some injury niggles I'm trying to keep at bay. These practices are really helping.
I would love to get back to repeating Move though. I've got to day 6 since finishing it in Jan, so a bit rubbish.

Sooverthemill · 14/03/2022 08:35

@Jumbojem repeating Move is good for me ( and I'm guessing tigers) as it's designed to build up strength and flexibility and I'm finding I am really improving.

Except today which was so hard! Day 12. Not an especially hard day but reflective of how little sleep I've had in the last few weeks. Dreading crow tomorrow tbh

Thanks everyone, feeling very proud of myself now Grin

I think we should all be proud of ourselves continuing show up though, even those who have 'gone rogue' @Jumbojem Grin It's whatever works for you, isn't it? It definitely helps my mood so I'm glad I'm keeping going.

BestIsWest · 14/03/2022 20:51

Day 15 done. This is 45 days straight now. It is definitely having an impact. I was saying to DH that I haven’t had to take ibuprofen or paracetamol for my hip for ages.

guinnessguzzler · 14/03/2022 21:24

That's amazing @BestIsWest what an achievement and what an impact.

BestIsWest · 14/03/2022 21:39

There’s so much I can’t do @guinnessguzzler but I love it. I love the way all my stress disappears for that 20 minutes or so and the lovely glow afterwards.

UnaOfStormhold · 14/03/2022 22:07

Day 29 done, I can't decide between starting another round of Move tomorrow or perhaps revisiting Home.

Rummikub · 14/03/2022 23:16

This is what keeps me showing up. I missed over a week and I was more stressed 2 days of Move completed incorrectly and I felt much calmer. With the bonus of my arthritis in my feet being less painful!
Shannith · 15/03/2022 08:26

@BestIsWest @guinnessguzzler @Rummikub isn't it amazing how just 20-30 of Adrienne a day can fix small niggles and big ones.

I'm getting quite complacent in my ability to...move. Because I've got a terrible post menopause memory it helps that I can't really remember where she is going with each one so I find myself breezing through (ish) poses/moments that I built up to be impossible.

So crow is currently very impossible but the way I look at it is that all of it was impossible to start with and they only thing I've done is daily practice so one day even crow.

I can do a proper flat feet squat now and even do my hands in prayer. I couldn't even do it on my toes (froggy) for a very long time and had decided it was not possible/too painful/not for the likes of me.

I think I've caught up after a busy weekend and am about to do day 16.

It's so great there are so many of us all doing it in one way or another. Especially the rogues @Jumbojem l

SpottyBumPony · 15/03/2022 09:08

I did day 7 and 8 in a row yesterday, nourish and rest. I was soooo chilled afterwards

Sooverthemill · 15/03/2022 13:38

I did day 13 today after another dreadful nights sleep but although I hardly had my eyes open, it was good

Yes! I am amazed at what a difference it makes doing it consistently.

Shinyandnew2022 · 15/03/2022 23:37

Hi all am still here just keep not managing to check in and post it's been busy at work again .
Did day 16 today and am feeling the improvements - side plank is way less painful for a start.
It really is amazing what impact daily yoga is having I am craving the sessions after work I find it relaxing and energising . So good !
Well done @Sooverthemill it's impressive you make it to the mat!

Sooverthemill · 16/03/2022 09:17

I didn't make it today and feel like I'm on the slippery slope. Last night was ruined not by DD but by DH who hit me twice! Once in his sleep and once when he got back in bed after going for a wee as he 'assumed the bed was empty'. WTF. He didn't hit me intentionally but it still hurt he's a clumsy oaf.
