Very excited when the email came this morning! Is anyone else up for this?

Day 20 done. Absolutely loved it. May just go back and repeat this challenge as soon as it finishes!
@sycamore54321 the arms sequence does seem a bit weird at first but ( and she does this sequence quite fine in videos) it does come together helping you breathe and tone your arms. Honest

mimiasovitch · 21/01/2020 16:50

Feeling awesome for being on track. It's taken three years but this is the one! Enjoyed it a lot, though I was anticipating a more restful practice based on 'stillness'. Shame my husband had to ruin it by taking a picture of me in superman pose. He and my girls are taking it in turns to caption it. Soooo not amused.

KittyMcKitty · 21/01/2020 17:47

Day 20 how did it all go so quickly!

I think I enjoyed today but had to contend with my cat who for some unfathomable reason decided to jump out and bite me every time I changed pose! To top it all when I lay down in shavasana she decided that my yoga mat was a great scratching mat and set about sharpening her claws in it (and then got a claw stuck which caused all sorts of problems). The dog meanwhile sat on the sofa and looked at our odd cat!

Clearly the cat needs to channel her inner Benji more Grin

Can't believe we're 2/3 of the way through already! Nice practice today, and I needed a bit of stillness.

sycamore54321 · 21/01/2020 20:38

Day 20 done and while I didn't particularly enjoy this sequence, I feel good for having it done. I'm already feeling bereft at the thought of the 30 days ending!

I still am not winning the mat bingo either - this time I gambled that we might be doing lots of high arms, so I positioned my mat closer to the corner to avoid walloping the lamp shade. Then naturally we get Supermans!

UnaOfStormhold · 21/01/2020 20:47

For once I did pretty well on mat bingo today - not only had the laptop on the floor but had a blanket handy and used it to wrap myself up snugly for the foot massage at the start and the last savasana.

noodlezoodle · 22/01/2020 02:58

I'm a day behind so just finished Day 19 and I did NOT enjoy it! Too many planks and I just cannot get Crow pose to save my life, plus my feet hurt from the toe balances. Ah well, tomorrow is another day!

Going to do two lots tomorrow to catch up.

Full of admiration who are managing to do this through dog and cat attacks Grin

Redpriestandmozart · 22/01/2020 07:36

Day 21 and oh I loved her leggings so much, my favourite colours. Today was nice but what is it with boats this month?

Sooverthemill · 22/01/2020 10:12

I did about 3/4 today and was loving it but I suddenly felt terribly sick ( in fact still am) so had to stop. Will try to finish later. I am really enjoying this 30 days, it's so good

Redcrayons · 22/01/2020 22:07

I did 20 and 21 today as I didn't get chance yesterday. Loved day 20 but not so keen on today, I couldn't get the hang of the dog panting breathing and it prompted a bit of a coughing fit!

And I have a confession - I completely missed out Sunday. I was busy all morning and completely forgot till later, and then I was too full of dinner and couldn't be bothered. I'll try and do another double day so I don't miss that one.

Chuffed I've stuck to it and I've really enjoyed it. I run a lot, and this has been great for stretching. I've already included some of the poses in my stretching routine. We have a yoga studio in my town so I'm trying to find a class I can get to.

UnaOfStormhold · 22/01/2020 22:40

I was doing ok with the panting breath but definitely slower than her pace. Mostly nice though - good mix of the stretchy with sudden core blasts like those boats!

I think I'm going to feel a bit lost when the challenge ends - think I'll definitely try another of her 30 days sequences as I've been enjoying this a lot.

Hope you're feeling better Soover

noodlezoodle · 23/01/2020 02:05

Caught up on days 20 and 21 today and I didn't like either Shock. That's three days in a row that I haven't enjoyed, not sure why. I wonder if some of it is an excess of boats which tweaks my back every time.

Will try and un-grump in time for tomorrow's practice.

Sooverthemill · 23/01/2020 07:43

Thanks @UnaOfStormhold I still feel very much under the weather and having had a peek at today's practice I think I'm going to do a short gentle one instead and catch up when I'm feeling better. It's annoying as I've been so motivated

Sooverthemill · 23/01/2020 08:42

I did 'slow your roll' which has same vibe as yesterday's practice but only 16 minutes and all floor based.

Redpriestandmozart · 23/01/2020 09:26

Day 22 done, this must have been a digestive stimulating sequence as I was up off the mat to the loo twice! Thank goodness I don't do yoga in public! I love pigeon and cow poses, not a bad day at all.

KittyMcKitty · 23/01/2020 09:26

Soover I hope you’re feeling better soon.

Thank really enjoyed today whilst it was stronger then a few recent ones it was still comparatively gentle- only 1 plank, no warriors and some long held pigeons.

Another Day 20 and 21 catchuper here!

I must be a weirdo because I enjoyed both, but not, definitely not those killer "low boat" postures. That woman must have abs of steel, I was shaking by the end of the sequence!

Liked the reflexology with the foot massages (I know touching feet is one of those Marmite things, you either love it or can't stand it, I'm the former 💖), and the thumping feet on the mat to generate heat was interesting!

noodlezoodle · 23/01/2020 21:49

Ah, that's more like it! Loved todays - it's always a good sign when you hear 'let's start in extended child's pose' Grin

UnaOfStormhold · 23/01/2020 22:01

Well, I liked the long pigeons - quite an intense stretch but I could feel things opening and relaxing which is always nice. But cow legs are just not something my body seems to do; one of those times where you can't seem to get enough into the pose to be working on stretching the bits that need to be stretched to do it properly! Heigh ho, I'm sure it was doing something good for me somewhere.

sycamore54321 · 23/01/2020 22:34

Day 22 done also. It should have been one that I liked but I was feeling generally a bit 'meh' today - stressed, busy, mind racing, a little queasy, so I didn't love it. But I might revisit it some other day. The super extended pigeons were good for my hips that have never been the same since pregnancy.

It was definitely one of those days where the "hardest part was showing up" and where I almost certainly wouldn't have done it, if it weren't for this thread. So thanks, yoga friends, for the motivation.

mimiasovitch · 24/01/2020 08:45

Didn't love yesterday's par at ice, but I came to it at the end of a busy day and straight after a dog walk. For some reason I struggle with three legged dog, and it actually hurt on my left side and I couldn't seem
To move out of the spasm. When something like that happens it feels like I've wasted all of it, which is ridiculous. The pigeons and cow legs were lovely, so there is a benefit there somewhere. Am going to have some tea before I roll out the mat for today's session.

Redpriestandmozart · 24/01/2020 11:59

Day 23 done, I liked it this morning, a wee bit of a sweat but relaxing too. I managed the one-legged poses better than I thought but when she said 'where the attention goes, the energy flows' it really stuck in my mind and it's going to be my yoga mantra from now on.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Sooverthemill · 24/01/2020 21:11

Still under the weather so did a short session. Hoping tomorrow I'm better!

sycamore54321 · 24/01/2020 21:24

I really enjoyed today, day 23. A nice level of challenge and not too much of any one thing. Good stuff Adriane!

Only a week left, gulp.

UnaOfStormhold · 25/01/2020 07:25

Nice twisty day yesterday, seemed to fit a lot into twenty minutes!

When she does the vinyasa she mentions belly to cobra which I know, but also something like chaturanga to upward dog. Can someone point me in the direction of a video where she explains the chaturanga bit as I don't know that term and don't know how to spell it to search!
