It's day 23 and there are just 7 days of Dedicate left. Well done yogis for getting onto the mat in your own way and at your own pace. We’re here to support each other as we yoga to the end of Dedicate, through to Feb and beyond.

Hmm.
Day 1 of care done.
Its def not 10 mins long!
Some nice stretches but I'm not keen on the massage sections.
Hopefully they'll get longer.
It was nice though.

Spudlet · 01/02/2019 14:11

Is it quite a low-key one? Just did a HIIT session and will be feeling it later. Some nice stretches would be good, but lots of holding poses may cause a tumble Blush

Cherrypi · 01/02/2019 14:28

Did day one of care and a bit of freestyle to get some more stretching in. 🧘‍♀️

Destiel · 01/02/2019 14:30

Yes it is spud

juniperjune · 01/02/2019 16:58

Did day 1 of care then also tried 10mins of power yoga with five parks. I didn't like five parks as much as Adriene but I may give them another go.

coffeecow · 01/02/2019 17:42

Haven't done any yoga today as I had a sport thing after work and then took the dog on a long walk. But tomorrow I have the house to myself (bliss!) and I'm going to try one of the five parks for the first time (any recommendations?) and then finish it off with day 1 of calm.

I've done Day 1 of the February programme and the session on yoga for neck and shoulder relief. My neck and shoulders are simultaneously tight and weak - I had to take painkillers to get through the first days of Dedicate, - so I'm planning to work on them this month by doing sessions focussed on that area as a supplement when the daily suggestion is just a short one. Must say I found both sessions very nice today.

chutneypig · 01/02/2019 18:39

I wasn’t going to to day 1 of care today but woke up a bit early, saw it was 10 minutes so did that and a Bodycombat session. It made for a much better day all round.

whitershadeofpale · 01/02/2019 19:13

I spent all morning waiting for the message that my lesson was cancelled due to the weather, but it never came.

I failed, and was disappointed but not completely surprised. I came back and did the yoga for self care, which did make me feel a bit better.

Destiel · 01/02/2019 19:36

Glad you feel better pale x

AugustRose · 01/02/2019 20:05

So this is my 3rd day without any yoga and I am disappointed not to have finished my final 2 days of dedicate yet. I might try the yoga for when you are sick tonight just so I have done something.

Well done everyone else for keeping going.

Spudlet · 01/02/2019 20:24

Ah, bugger whiter. I failed my test first time too, so did DH, and Dstepdad almost ran someone over on his first time (he remains indignant about it as he maintains that he missed her so it was fine (he is joking)). All the best people do, you know Wink

You'll get it next time 👍

quirkychick · 01/02/2019 21:16

I failed first time too whiter Flowers.

AugustRose I've only just started back on Dedicate these last couple of days. If you need to rest, then you need to rest.

whitershadeofpale · 01/02/2019 23:55

Ah thanks everyone. I’m feeling ok about it really as I wasn’t super confident especially after the snow. But onwards and upwards and yoga can help have a positive mindset. Bring on test 2!

daisychain01 · 02/02/2019 06:20

After 30 lovely days I'm now grounded probably for a week, as I had my Wisdom tooth removed today. I have to say I was much better for doing lots of deep abdominal yoga breathing while I was in the dentists chair, that definitely kept me strong as I was absolutely dreading it!

daisychain01 · 02/02/2019 06:21

Just realised it was actually yesterday, I've lost a day lol !

Samb79 · 02/02/2019 09:47

Day 30 done at last! I took two days off between 29 and 30 as I was exhausted, so got a good nights sleep last night and finished it!
Loved some of it then ran out of ideas and seemed to just be doing the same things, then spent longer than usual in my favourite corpse pose - best bit.
Going to try Care, hoping I have the same motivation to work through it each day...I’ll give it a whirl tomorrow

GreenHatHacker · 02/02/2019 09:55

Day 2 of February Care - an energetic flow session, nice to do first thing in the morning, not sure I'd have done so well last thing at night! Very funny Benji spot today where he wanders round behind Adriene sniffing the flowers - I was sure he was going to eat them!

quirkychick · 02/02/2019 10:03

I've done Day 28 and Day 29, I had to cut short eagle pose, as I'm still a little wobbly!

I hope you feel better soon, daisychain, I had a wisdom tooth out a few years ago. The actual extraction wasn't too bad (though the tooth had a massive root) but my mouth felt all jangled up for quite a while after. I ate lots of soup. It was worth it, though, as I've had no bother from it since. You definitely need some self care yoga Smile.

DeadBod · 02/02/2019 11:15

Morning all. I've just completed Five Parks Rise and Shine, good session although I felt disloyal to Adriene. She talks all the way through but the clear instructions meant that I didn't have to keep craning my neck to view the screen. She went straight into the yoga with no faffing around or speil and 22 minutes was an ideal time. A good start to the day.

eurochick · 02/02/2019 12:18

I've never enjoyed exercising with pmt/period pain. My PE teacher 30 years ago used to tell me exercise would help. It never did. Curling up in a ball with a hot water bottle and telling the world to bugger off helps!

Anyway, I'm over the worst and managed 27 yesterday and 29 today. I loved them both! Really good sessions. Just 30 to go...

Cherrypi · 02/02/2019 13:23

Just did day 2 of care yoga for a changed perspective or something like that. Agree it is a good workout. A natural follow on to dedicate.

Spudlet · 02/02/2019 13:30

Walking a bit like a robot here afternoon yesterday's workout Blush Looked to see if Adrienne does a video for sore muscles, and of course she does. So hoping to be able to do that later, assuming I can find the time / space - we're on the road to stay with family and help them out after a car crash last weekend so not sure how things are going to pan out. Hey ho.

Destiel · 02/02/2019 15:47

Really horrid headache so I'm going to try her session for headaches.
