It's day 23 and there are just 7 days of Dedicate left. Well done yogis for getting onto the mat in your own way and at your own pace. We’re here to support each other as we yoga to the end of Dedicate, through to Feb and beyond.

I did the second (harder) half of the Five Parks bit of everything. The fallen triangle and wide-legged downward dog are new to me. Sounds like you're working hard, AugustRose!

GreenHatHacker · 18/05/2019 23:17

A few days away in a hotel for me. Just enough room to spread a towel at the bottom of the bed to sit on for Yoga for a Rainy Day without bashing into any of the other furniture!

Going to try that Five Parks bit of everything one when I get home mid week - sounds really interesting & I'm fancying trying some new moves!

AugustRose · 21/05/2019 12:13

Five Parks Detox flow today, lots of twists so my digestive system should be feeling great Grin

quirkychick · 22/05/2019 07:31

Grin AugustRose, I did the Five Parks twisty with side crow (which I can't do) the other day, for a different core workout. I certainly felt it in my obliques for a couple of days!

GreenHatHacker · 22/05/2019 22:11

After 7 hours on the train yesterday, the 'lower back love' session was very nice. Did 'hips & hammies' today - editing seems a bit odd at the beginning, but certainly the hamstrings feeling stretched now!

AugustRose · 24/05/2019 09:46

GreenHatHacker I did the hips and hammies this morning after doing a Five Parks with weights yesterday (not particularly difficult) and for some reason I found Adriene's one difficult. I think I must be tired as it wasn't too strenuous.

GreenHatHacker · 26/05/2019 08:31

Despite my (almost) daily yoga, plus Pilates & weightlifting for the past couple of months, a day doing heavy gardening yesterday has managed to make muscles ache in places I didn't know existed! Think the 'upper back love' routine released today will be very welcome!

quirkychick · 26/05/2019 12:03

I did the Five Parks wrist free haha, with holds. I find slow yoga quite challenging, but I needed something gentle!

quirkychick · 26/05/2019 12:03

*hatha not hahaGrin

GreenHatHacker · 27/05/2019 14:27

Thanks for posting the 'bit of everything' quirky I managed about 35 mins last night - will try to finish it later. Fallen triangle was a new one for me - quite easy on one side, almost impossible on the other, can't work out why!

quirkychick · 27/05/2019 16:45

I tried one of the Five Parks weights ones in a two birds with one stone idea. It was a 35mins one and felt quite tough, but I was quite tired this morning. I might try to do another one sometime as it means I've done yoga and weights in one go, or I might just feel very sore tomorrow!

AugustRose · 28/05/2019 12:00

quirky that was my thought too, I fond balancing a bit more tricky with the weights.

Can't remember what I've done since Friday, although I know I didn't do anything on Saturday as we went out for a long walk. This morning I did that Five Parks Twist & Flow with NO side crow - you know if Erin struggles with it then it must be hard Shock

GreenHatHacker · 28/05/2019 19:57

Did the 'upper back love' this evening - a good stretch out for the shoulders. Had to adapt out of the extended child's pose at the beginning tho', my dodgy knee can't take the pose for too long!

AugustRose · 29/05/2019 13:07

I did the I am Open from day 31 of May's calendar, and I still struggle with half moon, I just fall over!

Visiting family for the next 2 days so I will have to try and sneak in some short freestyle I think.

GreenHatHacker · 30/05/2019 20:31

The 'upper back love' did me so much good on Tuesday, I've just done it again tonight. Think I will try to make it a weekly session - so good after sitting at a desk all day!

GreenHatHacker · 30/05/2019 20:32

Is it just the 3 of us hanging in here now,?

quirkychick · 30/05/2019 21:00

Maybe, GreenHat. It is the first year I've followed a January Adriene thread that has lasted beyond the 30 days, I think.

Today was Five Parks Yoga 20 mins core again. I can feel my obliques!

GreenHatHacker · 30/05/2019 21:06

Well the thread has helped keep me going, so I'm grateful for the select few! Both for the inspiration of new videos to try and keeping me honest by feeling I should keep reporting in!

AugustRose · 01/06/2019 12:01

It's the same for me, even if I don't come on for a few days I like to check in with you.

No yoga for two days - just no time - so this morning I did the Five Parks handsfree longer holds. I have looked at Adriene's June calendar and I will do some but at the minute I need the longer sessions and really love the Five Parks videos.

Iambuffy · 02/06/2019 15:28

Well, hip injury (self inflicted) and wrist injury (no idea how did that one) have basically meant no yoga for me for the past month.

I'm very down about it :(

Planning on cracking on tomorrow with embrace!

GreenHatHacker · 02/06/2019 16:33

Poor buffy :( Good to see you checking in though and wishing you a rapid recovery!

Iambuffy · 03/06/2019 09:33

Well, I just did a short hip session (feeling a bit rough today) and hip feels looser already.

Will keep it up concentrating on my hips/lower back I think.

AugustRose · 03/06/2019 11:05

Sorry to hear you have had injuries Iambuffy, slowly and gently will hopefully help.

I did the arms and abs one from yesterday, it was quite good but I will regret it tomorrow as I also have a lot of hoovering to do today.

quirkychick · 03/06/2019 12:48

Hope you feel better soon, lambuffy.

I did the Five Parks for Strength and Energy yesterday. Today, I woke with a stiff back and did Erin's release for lower back and I have to say it's fine, now.

GreenHatHacker · 03/06/2019 21:29

Tried the arms, abs and attitude video, but didn't get on with it at all - spent the first 20 mins falling on my bum a lot, then gave up! Obviously not the right attitude!
