Who's up for a thread to discuss our progress this year? We've had threads following Adriene's 30 days of Yoga for the last few years so sign up now for January.

Based on the last few years I'll warn you now: watch out for day 6!!!!

I’m in. Did it last year but faded after 2-3 weeks

glow1984 · 02/01/2018 06:40

Impatiently waiting for the first video to come out ... I’ve been up with DS since 4:45 (not by choice, I can assure you!)

InfiniteSheldon · 02/01/2018 06:49

Just woke up all excited it's not on yet :(

frenchfancy · 02/01/2018 07:02

I've signed up. I've been doing yoga on my own for the last 6 months or so to help my back. I only do about 15mins though and I'd really like to increase that.

Lilmisskittykat · 02/01/2018 07:27

Up with good intentions - no video yet.. I'll have to do it before bedtime now.

wintersdawn · 02/01/2018 07:42

Just looked for video and can't find it either, does it not come out till later in the day? Wanted to do it before work each day, might have to do it on a day delay.

ProfessorLayton1 · 02/01/2018 07:52

Is she not based in LA?
I could not find it and that's what I thought, think it will be released later today

WeAreGerbil · 02/01/2018 08:03

9am our time I think. My normal yoga time is early morning, so I might have to be a day behind too once I go back to work properly.

Cherrypi · 02/01/2018 08:04

It’s up now.

frenchfancy · 02/01/2018 08:10

I can't see it

weekfour · 02/01/2018 08:16

I'm in. Smile

frenchfancy · 02/01/2018 08:23

Thanks. I'm already on my mat😀

Cherrypi · 02/01/2018 08:32

Ooh feel lovely after doing that. Don’t thing she envisioned you doing it with two kids running round you and trying to lie under the mummy bridge but hey.

Happies · 02/01/2018 08:34

I have found my people!

I love her yoga videos but never actually meet anyone else who has seen or heard of her!
I did a 30 day one in 2015 but then got pregnant so didn't carry it on.
Not sure I'll be able to do it everyday but will give it a go! X

frenchfancy · 02/01/2018 08:51

Feels good. My hips didn't like being crossed legged for so long but I managed the rest.

RhinestoneCowgirl · 02/01/2018 09:10

Cherrypie - sounds a lot like my 'home yoga studio' Grin

Just done day one, DC still asleep. Going to be a shock getting up for school tomorrow!

PurpleDaisies · 02/01/2018 09:13

I’m out and about doing jobs but looking forward to doing this later. I think I’ll also do it a day behind-I was raring to go at 7am but no video.

quirkychick · 02/01/2018 09:20

theonlyoneiknow my hamstring tendonitis is fine, but I really had it halfway through Jan and into Feb/March last year, it's related to posture/back issues, so daily yoga really keeps on top of that. Since July is miserable!

Day 1 is lovely and slow, Adriene does make me smile. I definitely found I moved differently after doing Revolution (when I finally did it properly). I've been doing some of Shiva Rea's easier 20mins ones (vinyasa flow) to try and unstiffen myself after being sofa/bed bound with flu and chest infection in early Dec. I always feel it's like a reset in the New Year Smile.

Hello, I love YWA but have failed to follow any of her 30 day plans beyond one week so far! I would love to join this thread for motivation. I have limited space in my house so have to wait for the teens to stop using the front room/tv before I can get stuck in but am dressed for impromptu yoga so will dive in when I can!

EmmaStone · 02/01/2018 09:43

I'm up for this, have done them the last couple of years. Intentions are always to do it daily, but real life often gets in the way and I seem to be permanently playing catch up, especially when also trying to fit in other exercise...

I love Adriene's affirmations, and find them quite moving when doing them in a stretch like this. I remember one or two days making me cry last year (and I'm not really like that!).

Keepon you should be fine to jump straight in, I find there may be the odd bit that's challenging, but it tends not to last too long, and then you're back at relaxing! I suspect the hardest thing you'll find is your wrists hurting, so you could look at her yoga foundations for wrists. And I find within a week or so, your wrists have got used to it!

After I finished the 30 days I just stopped doing daily practice, but I go to yoga classes at least once a week, plus do other stuff. I found Adriene quite a nice supplement and helped my bendiness!

KikisReindeerDeliveries · 02/01/2018 09:44

Waves to koko! If you know yoga basics you'll be fine and if not then she has a bunch of videos for yoga foundation moves if you get confused or stuck.

ClickHip · 02/01/2018 10:02

Just finished day 1. That was lovely. My wrists felt it as did my thighs. Feel loads better for it and energised I have to say. Looking forward to day 2 now. Going to try make time for this in the mornings. Off work this week so might have half a chance....

Jumbojem · 02/01/2018 10:29

Day 1 done with my 10 year old. Really enjoyed it bit tougher than i was expecting, especially the hovering knees. Think I must be way stiffer than i imagined but it's been 10 years since i regularly practised.
