Who's up for a thread to discuss our progress this year? We've had threads following Adriene's 30 days of Yoga for the last few years so sign up now for January.

Based on the last few years I'll warn you now: watch out for day 6!!!!

Just done Day 17, I've a sore wrist today, probably from a big cleaning burst this week (dd2 had a party yesterday) rather than yoga. I just changed quite a few planks to forearm planks, which Adriene then did too. I think my stomach might feel it tomorrow Smile.

Ietthemeatcake · 21/01/2018 11:06

Day 19 done, for some reason I have stopped getting the daily emails so I need to wait for the video to pop up in my subscriptions.
I could not do that yogic squat, that was hard! I suppose that's what knee surgery does to you.

DamnDeDoubtanceIsSpartacus · 21/01/2018 11:42

20 done, it's okay. I did one her yoga for weight loss after it which was a better workout. I do love her jibber jabber Grin

AugustRose · 21/01/2018 12:39

Couldn't fit it in yesterday so day 19 and 20 done today. My balance was off too much to enjoy 19 so 20 was a nice one to do after it. Got a busy week coming up but determined to do each day, well not Tuesday, as I'm in Manchester all day/evening.

Rollerbird · 21/01/2018 15:30

ive caught up with 17 and 18 today.
cant do any tomorrow - but my balance is hopeless, so if 19 is to do with that i look forward to the practice!!
will try and do 19 and 20 on tuesday, then again cant do wednesday so will go for 21 and 22 on thursday - hopefully i will catch up soon.
i am enjoying it definitely and feel stronger and more flexible, and 'in my body' when walking down the street!

Rankellior · 21/01/2018 17:47

Day 20 done. Was one of those where I felt I was going through the motions rather than it being either very strenuous/challenging or really chilled out. To be honest I think that was what I needed. On the home stretch now, 2/3rds complete. I’ve never got this far before and I’m quite pleased with myself.

Gumpendorf · 21/01/2018 18:22

I've done 18 and 19 today. I was hopeless in 19 as my balance is dreadful.

20 and 21 tomorrow to catch up.

I agree at feeling better when walking around. Generally feeling quite pleased with my efforts. I like Adriene's positivity (with a peek at some underlying insecurity) and her observations on being. Her authenticity is inspiring.

CountFosco · 21/01/2018 21:51

I am the crappest OP ever. We had 2 viewings today so spent yesterday cleaning and so did no exercise (except walking round town). But today I did day 13 (goddess pose) and 14 (the weird bum massage). So way behind everyone. On the plus side the house is now spotless so I might have time to do yoga in the evening this week.

I'm back in after 5 days of illness. Day 15 was the perfect way to restart.

iammargesimpson · 22/01/2018 21:25

I'm way behind, just finished day 12, these hip dips!! Think I'll be feeling that tomorrow! Is anyone here a member of the fwfg Facebook group? I joined it and although there are a few recipes - golden milk and green soup - it's very much focusing on the yoga. It can be a bit navel gazing for me though, lots of self love declarations etc.

BuzzKillington · 22/01/2018 22:13

I missed 20 yesterday as I was hungover busy.

I did 20 and 21 this evening.

GlitterUnicornsAndAllThatJazz · 22/01/2018 22:39

Fell behind and did day 17 and 18 today.

Even though i had a few days off I swear I found it easier to get my foot up to fold from plank.

Also I was able to do the side planks with what felt like some grace whereas before starting this I couldn't it felt like my wrist would snap - so clearly I've learnt something about lifting up from thr core and spreading my weight easily.

If anyones interested in joining me at the end of this I'm going to start revolution as others have mentioned but alongside that I'm going to start a Sworkit app programme ( 3x 20 min workouts a week).

Onwards and upwards!

Tomorrow will continue catching up, day 19 and 20

1000piecepuzzle · 22/01/2018 23:40

Found the balances in 19 very hard. Is it better to hold on with one hand and get the legs in the right places, or balance properly but get the toes barely above calf height?

Really enjoying the variety between days recently. Feels odd to be missing standing fold when it's not included, I've been doing it before bed instead!

Tangarine · 23/01/2018 09:04

1000 when I used to go to classes the teacher would encourage a tiny balance rather than a bigger one holding on. Are you using a ypga mat? I was away from home over the weekend so just did it on the carpet and wobbled all over the place. On a mat today for day 22 and found the balancing better.

I noticed yesterday that my knees are starting to drop down further when I sit cross legged.

Cherrypi · 23/01/2018 11:20

Been a bit poorly and missed a few days. Did day 17 today and really felt hard again. Feel lovely now I’ve done it.

InfiniteSheldon · 23/01/2018 11:24

I've been AWOL since day 11 jumped back in with day 22 just going to pretend I haven't missed any. Well done every one Flowers

quirkychick · 23/01/2018 14:54

Did Day 20, early this morning, those "crab" positions were really hard on my very inflexible shoulders, but I did mostly manage them.

frenchfancy · 23/01/2018 17:35

Still hanging in there - just done day 16. It's a long one but not too hard except for one bit that I couldn't do)

It was all changed though as normally I do it first thing in the morning but I didn't have time today but I didn't want to fall further behind. I normally do it in my bedroom but moved my mat to a mezzanine we have (normally referred to as the lego room) I have a bit more floor space here (once the lego was pushed aside) but the head height isn't great so reaching for the sky was a bit difficult. I wish I had a lovely clea n yoga studio like Adrienne does.

Wineloffa · 23/01/2018 17:58

Day 22 done! I'm another one who prefers Revolution! I'm going to redo it in January.

BuzzKillington · 23/01/2018 18:43

Day 22 done. Nice and quick. Definitely feeling stronger.

Gumpendorf · 23/01/2018 19:05

Caught up with 20 & 21 yesterday and did 22 after Pilates today. I hardly recognise myself Grin

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 23/01/2018 19:58

I'd love to keep up and do Revolution after this.

Did Day 22 today-usually do it in the morning and left it til late afternoon and it made me realise I am better in the morning and better when I don't have Gin the night before

frenchfancy · 24/01/2018 07:55

Day 17 done. I definitely want to try and keep a daily session going so following on with revolution seems like a good idea.

quirkychick · 24/01/2018 14:20

Day 21 this morning, I really liked it, I'm feeling fitter and more flexible today. I do like the shorter, quicker ones but I'm sure the slower ones are good for me too. I think I liked it today because it reminded me of Revolution, in that it concentrated on how you move. I'm sure I moved much better and more gracefully after Revolution.

Adriene certainly got me doing daily yoga, after doing the Yoga Camp with others on here. It's become a good habit. I don't always do Adriene's, if I fancy something more strenuous, I do Shiva Rea and swap between the two.

BuzzKillington · 24/01/2018 19:45

Just did Day 23. Not very good at that balancing stick pose, or whatever it's called.
