Who's up for a thread to discuss our progress this year? We've had threads following Adriene's 30 days of Yoga for the last few years so sign up now for January.

Based on the last few years I'll warn you now: watch out for day 6!!!!

OP posts:
mumsiedarlingrevolta · 17/01/2018 15:18

Just did Day 16.
It didn't really feel much longer than other ones-lots of nice relaxing bits at the end.
I really enjoyed it-although some very shaky legs- I've never been so happy to be in Child's pose in my life!!

Rankellior · 17/01/2018 15:19

I could have done without long sessions today and tomorrow as I have limited time tonight after work. Ah well, have come this far so will just have to spend less time slobbing on the couch tonight

Thehairthebod · 17/01/2018 16:04

I went out for my first 'run' (if you could call it that) in about forever this afternoon and felt like I was going to die, so am not looking forward to a 40 minuter tonight!

BuzzKillington · 17/01/2018 19:08

The 41 minutes wasn't as long as I thought!

The half moon pose nearly finished me off.

Gumpendorf · 17/01/2018 19:12

Day 13 and 14 done today. I can't do the hip rolls at all. 14 was very slow. Adriene seems more chatty than she was at the beginning, which maybe why the sessions seem longer but with less content.

Doing 15 tomorrow after Pilates and will catch up with 16 on Friday or that's the plan.

I dont want to be a traitor here but even though I'm enjoying it I cant help but feel I preferred Revolution!

Maybe because her rhetoric during that was kind of more grounded. It feels like she's gone further with the whole "self love" and "philosophy" in this one, and I think I prefer her more straight forward approach in Revolution, where she definitely fostered a specific outlook but less intensively.

I also think (but am I imagining it?!) that there was more variety in her routines in that series? Cant pinpoint it exactly but it felt somehow more surprising each time? Maybe it was just the new factor.

Just did Day 15 and I enjoyed it - didn't enjoy Day 14: I'm down with getting reflective, quiet and still but I can't do that with someone talking at me! I think for her quieter ones she needs to tone down the guidance and prompts, its difficult to get peaceful with instructions and thoughts running through your ear.

Anyway enough bitching - I do absolutely love her and am enjoying this, but after this I will be doing revolution again if anyone wants tp jojn.

Daily yoga with Adriene is doing wonders for me I gotta admit. I feel great, and am also using Sworkit to work out 3 times a week.

BuzzKillington · 17/01/2018 19:22

I might do Revolution again after this.

Small victory - I actually got my right foot to the top of the mat from downward dog. Not the left though.

GlitterUnicornsAndAllThatJazz · 17/01/2018 19:23

@BuzzKillington
Are you responding to my post above? If not, snap! I've read your comments on this thread Buzz and I've agreed with them all 😊

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 17/01/2018 19:41

glitter Agree re the more contemplative days- where can I find revolution? She is a bit chattier so it does stretch them out but I am really chuffed at sticking with it...

BuzzKillington · 17/01/2018 19:43

Sorry, yes Glitter, it was in response to you saying you might do Revolution again.

Rankellior · 17/01/2018 20:19

I was thinking about re-doing a 30 day series after this as the series aspect keeps me going as it takes the thought out of it. This is the longest daily streak I’ve done as I had to stop revolution last year around day 12 because life took over.

Today went quite fast for me too but struggled with half moon. Couldn’t keep balance and left leg shaking by the end. That said I’ve noticed that I’m much more flexible vs day 1 so feels like I’m making progress!

DamnDeDoubtanceIsSpartacus · 17/01/2018 20:34

Did 16 then 15, I haven't done 14 but it doesn't sound like I'm missing much, might just plough on with 17 tomorrow. I am going to try and keep it up after the 30 days as I feel great.

GColdtimer · 17/01/2018 22:35

Well done Buzz, you have given me hope!

I would like to do revolution after this. I am a day behind but will try to catch up over the weekend.

WeAreGerbil · 18/01/2018 08:31

I'm a bit behind, I've just done day 13. I agree there was a lot of unnecessary chat. Other issue I'm having is achy muscles from gym so no way I could hold the Goddess pose for so long. Hoping to be doing it each day again tomorrow and weekend though.

quirkychick · 18/01/2018 10:49

I've done half of Day 16 (so, 20mins) as our wifi kept going in and out and it's turned into a busier morning than I thought. I can feel my obliques, though.

I think Yoga Camp was quite woo, as full of mantras, I found Revolution (when I did it the second time, post injury) really changed the way I moved on the mat. I like both, but then I haven't done all of Day 16, yet Wink.

DamnDeDoubtanceIsSpartacus · 18/01/2018 10:49

Day 17 done, I enjoyed it. I do get a bit restless at the start so kinda do my own thing. I'm trying to work in ten of those hip dips each day because they really work. I might do 14 tonight then I'm bang up to date.

AugustRose · 18/01/2018 12:40

Slightly behind so Day 16 done today which I enjoyed. I was going to do 17 as well but that would have been too much for me so I will try and fit it in later.

I think I also preferred Revolution, it seemed more focused than this one but as still have a couple of weeks to go. Although I think any of the 30 day journeys are good for keeping you going.

frenchfancy · 18/01/2018 16:06

I missed today as I'm ill. I'm hoping I'll be well enough tomorrow but I think it might be flu so that may not be possible.

Rollerbird · 18/01/2018 16:25

I caught up to 15 and most of 16 today.
Cant do any tomorrow so need to catch up on weekend.
I definitely would like another journey after this all on a thread - so tell us all what and start a new thread whoever wants to lead us!
Buzz i too got my right foot up (but not left) today!!

BuzzKillington · 18/01/2018 17:49

Just did day 17, pretty easy one today.

itssquidstella · 18/01/2018 18:30

I’ll do Revolution after this; is like to keep my momentum up. I struggled with half moon, as I always do - I’ve got a weak left hip so anything that involves balancing on my left leg is really difficult!

DamnDeDoubtanceIsSpartacus · 18/01/2018 18:39

I redid the flying one so I am up to date on the number I've done but have skipped 14 which didn't sound too good. I need to start saving the good ones so I don't have to trawl through them.

DragonsAndCakes · 18/01/2018 20:33

Oh, I’m doing the 2015 version! How have a I managed that?!

Hockneypool · 18/01/2018 21:05

Did day 11 and 12 tonight. It was a good combination. Hip dips nightmare but something to work on.
