Who's up for a thread to discuss our progress this year? We've had threads following Adriene's 30 days of Yoga for the last few years so sign up now for January.

Based on the last few years I'll warn you now: watch out for day 6!!!!

Day 7 done. Not a fan, easily my least liked session so far. The first 12 minutes or so were just so boooring although to be fair it did pick up a bit after that.

DamnDeDoubtanceIsSpartacus · 08/01/2018 18:38

Done, I liked it when the pace picked up. Wobbled like a wobbly thing in tree pose but hey ho.

WeAreGerbil · 08/01/2018 18:39

I'm having the day off as I'm a bit achy from other exercise so know I'll be a bit half hearted, I'll try day 7 tomorrow.

I enjoyed day 7 - had a stressful day at work so the repetition was a good way to switch off. I like the opportunity to practise my balance in tree pose, too. Surprised that she treated chair pose as something so challenging, though!

Waddlelikeapenguin · 08/01/2018 19:04

Day 6 here. I enjoyed it but my wobbly wonky pelvis doesnt like boat & i am never sure what i can substitute- can any one make a suggestion?

BuzzKillington · 08/01/2018 19:12

I've just done Day 7.

I was surprised at the chair pose being a challenge to. In my rl yoga it's something we do repeatedly.

My tree pose was terrible today. Sometimes I can get my foot up as far as my crotch and keep it there, not today though - it just slid down to my knee.

Rankellior · 08/01/2018 19:28

I quite enjoyed today and I normally hate the flows. Struggled with tree though as my foot always slides down by leggings - not sure if that’s poor balance or poor clothing choices! I need grippy socks

Gumpendorf · 08/01/2018 20:01

I nearly didn't do Day 7 as feeling v fragile, but I did it and enjoyed it and now feel quite good that I have done 7 days in a row. Grin

carrie74 · 08/01/2018 20:27

Urgh, have been working since 7:30am (was supposed to be working 9-3), no sign of let up and have been in my yoga clothes all day to do some exercise and day 7. Hoping I'll be able to log off at some point, Is day 7 suitable for just before bed???

WeAreGerbil · 08/01/2018 20:31

I can do tree with bare legs - quite normal in my class to hoik trousers up, though I pity anyone standing behind me! One of the tricks is to push back with the standing leg. I generally cheat though and put leg below knee. In Bikram they grab onto foot across the thigh instead. I will look forward to day 7 first thing tomorrow!

Cherrypi · 08/01/2018 20:39

Day 7 might wake you up a bit before bed. Anyone else's stomach muscles still sore from yesterday?

coffeecow · 08/01/2018 21:22

Day 7 done. My normally okay tree pose was so wobbly! Don't know what happened there. I like the flows and sun salutations (I think that's what they were - I'm rusty!) I have always found myself to get lost in them and into the rhythm which I like.

Hockneypool · 08/01/2018 21:22

Finished day 7 - tree was a bit wobbly but enjoyed the flows. My stomach muscles are definitely hurting after day 6 and my attempts at plank today.

GColdtimer · 08/01/2018 21:29

Just done day 7. I quite like the flow sessions so I was happy with this. Nothing aches as yet which I am pleased about. Just looking at some of her earlier videos - she looks so different with a fringe and it looks like she has moved too!

BuzzKillington · 08/01/2018 22:08

Yes, have enjoyed feeling my stomach muscles ache after yesterday.

Doing a practice every day makes me very mindful. I feel I sit and stand better.

Managed to log off at 9, so did a brisk walk on the treadmill and just completed day 7. That bum stretch is one of my favourites, I can really feel it doing good. Lots of sun salutations tonight, but corpse pose at the end was bliss after today. Has helped me shift from work head to relax head, and looking forward to sliding into bed with my book now. Namaste!

randomsabreuse · 08/01/2018 23:42

Just done 5 after missing the weekend for no better reason than being in a strop with DH caused by terrible twos galore from DD. Feel better for it.

frenchfancy · 09/01/2018 07:06

Day 7 done. Now I need a shower!

coffeecow · 09/01/2018 08:09

Oooh Day 8 needs a pillow and a blanket - sounds like a nice pre-bedtime one! 🛌

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 09/01/2018 09:51

Just did day 8. It probably says more about me than the lovely Adriene but I found it a bit boring.
mind wandering, clock watching boring.
I am obviously not soft or still.
Some nice stretches but overall I much prefer the ones where I work harder...

quirkychick · 09/01/2018 09:54

Feeling a bit sore today after yesterday's Day 6 abs and lots of walking. Just done Day 7, which needed a bit of modifying, quite a few bent knees today, but more like the usual flow yoga for me. Day 8 looks like a gentle day, I think it often is.

DragonsAndCakes · 09/01/2018 14:06

I didn’t do day 7, as I went to my RL yoga class, but I was pretty sore from day 6!

Even parts that I didn’t think were working abs turned out to be, in fact!

Starryskiesinthesky · 09/01/2018 14:38

Can anyone help me?! We are only on Day 5 and not sure whether to try and catch up or just keep going doing it when we can.

What I am wondering is what happens at the end e.g. after 30 days does it disappear or will we still be able to be doing day 28 on day 35?

After that do you have to pay a subscription to keep seeing her? Thanks.
