Anyone signed up to these emails starting on NYD? I started yoga at the beginning of the year and have been surprised at how much I enjoy it, did the 30 days of yoga earlier in the year, and am committed to completing Revolution in real time!

Love Adriene, so gentle and kind. Total girl crush!

Thanks Ulysses and Carrie. Def feeling better today although my poor old pelvic floor has taken one hell of a battering with all the coughing! Ive done 7&8 today.
overthehill, I would give your back a break, perhaps do some gentle cat cow or pelvic tilts to ease off.

PhyllisWig · 10/01/2017 21:44

Just completed day 9 and loved it. I can really feel a different in muscle tightness and posture. My balance is better too.

Still have a few issues - still struggle with stepping forward but my neck issues are definitely better

carrie74 · 10/01/2017 22:21

Missed day 10 today - out of the house 7:30 til 9:30, and couldn't face it when I got home. Am out tomorrow night too, but will try to sneak day 10 in and then do 11&12 on Thursday...

over - Please don't do yoga until your back pain goes away.

Meanwhile, I have managed to hurt my wrist by.... playing to much piano ShockHmm which I guess is why it was hurting during yoga yesterday. I only realized this when I sat down to play again yesterday afternoon and was I agony.

Ffs. Of all the ways I have managed to injure myself over the years, this one takes the Biscuit

Fallonjamie · 11/01/2017 07:38

I loved day 10 yesterday but missed day 9 and need to fit it in somewhere.

RhinestoneCowgirl · 11/01/2017 08:04

Didn't do any yoga yesterday, was really feeling the January blues, everything seemed too much effort Sad

So this morning made the effort and did day 9 and feel much better, ready to face the day Smile

quirkychick · 11/01/2017 10:17

I am behind and just managed Day 9 today. A combination of Dp's big birthday and dd2 reverting to crap sleep the night before. Day 9 not too bad, I'm not ready for crow yet Wink, so just practising the squats.

Cote I've done that before, when I was younger I had to cancel one of my exams due to tendonitis in my wrists. I still can have some wrist issues and will strap up for yoga if they feel a bit dodgy. They are much stronger, though.

over I pulled my back in the summer, very painful. You need to let it calm down, then start very gentle exercise. Adriene has some for back pain, but don't do it yet!

Unicornsandrainbows3 · 11/01/2017 11:02

Did anyone manage crow? I've done it in the past but now have a complete block against it-convinced I will fall flat on my face!
Cote and Over I hope the injuries heal soon.

sugarmonster64 · 11/01/2017 13:02

I didn't even really attempt crow. I knew it wasn't going to happen so saved myself the humiliation

Hit a real mental block today, have been great with exercise and walking past few weeks but today I have no motivation. Doesn't help it's hideous outside so a walk is totally unappealing. If I don't fit in yoga later I'll have done the sum total of nothing, I haven't even left house so probably only about 2000 steps

No crow here either! I simply don't have either the strength or the balance Smile

RhinestoneCowgirl · 11/01/2017 21:17

I got to the 'balancing one toe' part of crow, but no way can I get both feet off the floor. Something to aim for I think...

carrie74 · 11/01/2017 21:24

I've been practising crow every now and then for nearly a year, so can get into it now, and stay for a few seconds, but it's nowhere near as controlled as hers!

dublinmary · 11/01/2017 21:29

Did I miss the crow by missing out the last ten minutes of Day 9? May have been a lucky escape!

Have just managed to do day 10 and 11 this evening. Hope everyone else is still enjoying it, I think she is quite encouraging for people who might find some poses tricky.

Wineloffa · 11/01/2017 21:56

I did the crow which lasted for about 5 seconds before I toppled.

I am in love with Adriene! I've actually suggested to DH that we go to Texas on holidays so I can go to one of her classes. 🙃

Eastpoint · 11/01/2017 23:20

Just finished Day 10 which was lovely and mellow but couldn't really get into it. I will do Day 11 tomorrow first thing and then I can do Day 12 tomorrow night but I'm going to the theatre so... I need to be on the right day. My crow has really improved since doing it in a real class on Saturday - can't do firefly yet but crow is ok.

Hope those with injuries find some relief and have rapid recoveries.

Eastpoint · 12/01/2017 07:22

Managed to do Day 11 and now I feel I can enjoy the day properly.

My right hip is out of alignment so I couldn't stand on it very long at all. Will fit Day 12 in while the children are having tea so I can do Day 13 as soon as it arrives tomorrow... Sorry for posting consecutively.

quirkychick · 12/01/2017 11:59

over I am joining you on the injury bench with a sore hamstring!

I did do the beginning of Day 10 (after flicking through the video) as it was sitting and breathing mostly. I have had a slight niggly hamstring on and off for a few months but nothing serious, I have done a ton of walking this week and am now sore. Dr Google says tendonitis of hamstring, rest, ibuprofen, strap it up and ice, but I might see gp tomorrow as it's been going on a while. Sigh. I think I might keep up yoga breathing to keep up the habit, so I can catch up later.

I've got a bit behind, so did day 10 this evening, but like Eastpoint says, I couldn't quite get into it, I felt like I wasn't sure what we were practicing. Seeing my PT tomorrow (for first time in a month -eek!!), so think I'll need some yoga after to soothe the aches and pains. Will catch up properly at weekend. And booked in for 2 classes next week (couldn't get to any this week, also why I've fallen behind. Blooming life!!).

Over, glad your back's on the mend, and Quirky, hope your hammy issues can be resolved without too much stress.

Wineloffa, I went through a similar phase last year. We usually go to the US every year, and I wS checking out where she travels! Sadly she wasn't anywhere near us while we were there (but might check her upcoming events info now...).
