Anyone signed up to these emails starting on NYD? I started yoga at the beginning of the year and have been surprised at how much I enjoy it, did the 30 days of yoga earlier in the year, and am committed to completing Revolution in real time!

Love Adriene, so gentle and kind. Total girl crush!

I've just done day 6 this morning and hoping to do day 7 tonight so I am caught up. I managed to get me heels down in down dog last night but couldn't manage it this morning. Maybe I'm a bit stiff from being in bed. I love Adriene though am not so vocal about it!

ChuckSnowballs · 07/01/2017 09:08

I'm up to date and having to go out in an hour so might slip Day 7 in this morning.

Yesterday was very shaky.

Day 7 done Smile

Hockneypool · 07/01/2017 13:57

Day 7 done and I did much better today but wobbly in places! My right leg is stronger than my left but my right hip isn't anywhere as flexible. Which made my mountain poses - not sure that's the right term - very different on each leg.

quirkychick · 07/01/2017 15:06

Suffering from a stiff neck (pulled muscle) but yoga is fine as everything is at your own pace and I'm finding what feels good Smile. I had to modify tree pose a lot as my hips were very stiff. Ulysses I usually do yoga in the morning, but it means I'm often stiffer and it takes several downward dogs to get my legs straight even! I'm just too tired at night to do get my mat out.

AugustRose · 07/01/2017 15:31

I discovered Adriene's videos in December as I had never done yoga before and they are great. I am already much more flexible and my back pain is almost gone after years of on/off pain.

Are these Revolution videos more advanced? I saw them but wasn't sure if I should stick to the older 30 Days of Yoga for now as I'm still a bit wobbly.

I did a 2 hour Ashtanga class this morning but I am going to do Day 7 at 6pm. Last year I made the mistake of not doing each day as it came out and ended up losing momentum, I'm not going to do that this time.

Fallonjamie · 07/01/2017 17:28

Lovely chilled day 7!

Hellmouth · 07/01/2017 18:24

Thanks for the well wishes everyone. I feel a bit better, but running a bit of a temperature :( I am enjoying reading all of your comments about the challenge, and can't wait to start it up later!

Eastpoint · 07/01/2017 18:54

That was so different to the other days' practices - such a different vibe. Really enjoyed it & looking forward to Day 8 (with blanket & cushion/pillow).

I am a day behind, but that is because I had a RL yoga class yesterday which was quite challenging. I might try to fit two in tomorrow to catch up.

Eastpoint · 07/01/2017 22:06

I agree with you @Fatrascals, I think the mental benefits are the greatest. I went 4 days in a row to a 7am class the week before Christmas and found my level of focus really increased over that short period.

feettothestars · 08/01/2017 06:36

Day three for me today - anyone else running at the back? And I have my actual class tomorrow. Determined to do this though.

Ulysses · 08/01/2017 08:21

I'm finding it helping with general anxiety. I ached all day yesterday from the Day 6 session which was good as my abs haven't felt that way for ages. I was hoping to fit in Day 7 but was so tired at night so didn't manage but have just done in it now. I've got some time to myself this afternoon so going to do it then. My lower body is much stronger than my upper body so found Day 7 fairly easy. My first left side tree was quite drunk though but the right side was a big improvement!

BaklavaBalaclava · 08/01/2017 09:11

Boo - computer crashed half way through day 8. Didn't feel like restarting it once computer was up and running - but as it's a nice chilled one I may leave it for doing tonight...

quirkychick · 08/01/2017 09:52

Baklava it is chilled but there are some abs stuff at the end. Today's I really noticed how twisting to the left was much tougher than to the right (sore shoulder) but just did did what I could. I completely agree that the mental benefits are great, I have been doing yoga most days for a year, 'cos it makes me feel good. I really notice if I miss my morning practice. Adriene makes me smile.

Wombletor · 08/01/2017 15:44

I've completed day 8, it was very chilled. My abs are still a bit sore from day 6. I feel like I am loosening up a bit now.

dublinmary · 08/01/2017 16:30

Hi everyone. Nice to hear the different experiences, and that other people are enjoying it too. I was a bit sceptical about some of her more metaphysical comments, but am finding myself trying to "move with connect" and sit up and stand straight, which I really need to do.
Hope we can all keep going next week, with tube and train strikes I'm going to need some calm!

feettothestars · 08/01/2017 17:03

Ok only on day three here but feeling a little stiff tonight. Really loving the classes. Do they get a little harder every day?

RhinestoneCowgirl · 08/01/2017 19:39

I don't think they necessarily get harder each day, just have a different focus.

I did day 7 this afternoon. I find tree pose a real challenge but tried hard to concentrate on feeling grounded and it did help.

Eastpoint · 08/01/2017 21:07

I've just clicked on 'Threads I'm on' & this has reminded me of Day 8. Had just undressed to have a bath so I guess I'd better put my clothes back on. I did a New Year New You free class this morning & so I'd forgotten about Adrienne Blush. Back to normal life tomorrow...

Ulysses · 09/01/2017 07:36

I've just worked out that I'm always going to be a day behind as I need to do the workout first thing, which will be before that day's one is online. So I've just done Day 8s. I've got a rubbish day ahead so getting the motivation to do it has given me a bit of strength. It's my first day back at work after Christmas and I'm dreading it!

carrie74 · 09/01/2017 09:11

I was away over the weekend with absolutely no time to practice, so I'm playing catch up again. Did Day 7 before taking DC to school, might then try to do Day 9 this afternoon when he's at tennis, and then Day 8 before bed...

Well done everyone! Well into Week2! I was really conscious of my posture over the weekend, sitting up straight but relaxing my shoulders at the theatre. I managed a little run with a friend, then while she went off to do some more, I did a little bit of yoga in Regents Park to keep warm and stretch out the muscles a bit, was lush! Other than that I've been WALKING, with a bit of dancing thrown in for good measure on Saturday night. Working from home today, so I'm taking care to keep my core engaged and keep the posture going.
