CQC interview

Hello!
I am a usual Mumsnetter, but changed username.

I had an interview with CQC for a inspector role just over two weeks ago, they said they'd be in touch either way by end of last week or beginning of this week. The portal says my application is "in review" and no change since before interview.

How long shall I give it until I follow up, or shall I even follow it up at all? It's a job I've wanted for a while but I'm unsure of what the realistic timescales are with these sorts of organisations!

Thanks

Just to let you know that they've replied to me to clarify that they will be 'longlisting' and contacting those that have already applied and we won't have to wait until the extended closing date in June! Phew 😅

@MyCraftyCat
@ThatPinkRaven
I have DM'd you both my number, hopefully it's worked!

Let me know if anyone else fancies joining a little group

Thanks for the update. I'm starting to lose hope! It just feels so drawn out.
I'd be keen to join a WhatsApp group of that's ok with everyone?

Of course, I've sent you a PM.

I've checked the portal this morning and looks like my application has just been looked at 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Hi all,
Been reading this thread for months and thought I would finally post. Applied in August last year. Got shortlisted in November, did my assessment in December. My interview in January and then found out I had been successful on 21st of Feb. Was told I would get a update within 4 weeks. 2 weeks ago decided to email (no response) phoned up Monday and was told someone would get back to me with an update and still no response. Getting a bit concerned now to be honest especially as they have started advertising again. Not sure what is happening lol. I applied for ASC , london and EOE.

They must be monitoring this thread. Just been phoned up and offered the role. Subject to usual checks.

Good luck for today!

Thank you! My interviewers were also lovely and helped put me at ease. Could possibly be the same ones you had. I think it went ok, just a waiting game now to find out the result.

Hi All
i have received an email to let me know that I was successful at interview however they will contact me within the next 4 weeks to let me know if they will be offering a conditional offer. I am confused! 🙄
Has anyone else had this? What does it mean? Anyone had the same email and then give conditional offer?
Any info/ advice would be very much appreciated 😁

Thanks @DeftExpert That is a long wait!
Do you know why they recruit this way?
What area will you be covering?
Congrats! Really pleased for you. Well done

Thank you and likewise, congratulations on passing. I know they reopened recruitment due to lower levels than expected being successful so it is a testament to your skills and experience.

I don’t know why it’s like this, I know civil service have their own time frames lol. I also know it is a big recruitment drive they carried out so maybe they are dealing with a higher workload than they are used to but that’s just speculation from my end.

i will be covering London East of England network but unsure of exact area however I have been told its already been assigned but they lady at recruitment side didn’t know what the code meant only that it means I’ve been assigned an area.

It is a painfully slow process. I did my ID verification nearly two weeks ago and was told someone from the onboarding team would contact me and nothing yet. I am desperate to hand in my two months notice and hope someone contacts me this week to start the onboarding process.

Hi there, I had my interview for the role of regulatory coordinator too on the 2nd of April. Please, have you heard any updates about the role after your interview?

TheWhiteRose · 07/04/2025 16:26

I had my interview last week Tuesday and I heard back to today that I was unsuccessful. They offer feedback which is good, just awaiting a response.

Sorry about that. Please what role did you apply for ?

My interview was on the 11th April for the same role. Job portal was last updated on the 14th. Not heard anything yet but they did say it will be a few weeks before I hear.

Thank you for your response. Just got information from someone reached out to them last week, that interview will end last week or early this week and by the end of this week they might reach out for outcome.

ImWithYou · 22/04/2025 14:44

Ooh fingers crossed we won't have to wait much longer then. Which region did you apply for?

Hi There. Would it be possible to join that WhatsApp group? I can’t start my induction until July but would be good to get an insight into the process with fellow new recruits :).

Jephrito · 24/04/2025 13:31

Finally got my conditional offer and contract. Reference requests have been sent off too within one day of being contacted. I have portable DBS and that should speed up things. I was told I might be doing my induction in July. I applied in Dec last year, written assessment was done in Feb, oral interview was done on March 11th and finally everything is falling in place.
