CQC interview

Ainsleysbbqbible · 29/02/2024 17:31

Hello!
I am a usual Mumsnetter, but changed username.

I had an interview with CQC for a inspector role just over two weeks ago, they said they'd be in touch either way by end of last week or beginning of this week. The portal says my application is "in review" and no change since before interview.

How long shall I give it until I follow up, or shall I even follow it up at all? It's a job I've wanted for a while but I'm unsure of what the realistic timescales are with these sorts of organisations!

Thanks

Did people wait a long time before even finding out if they were shortlisted for the written exercise? Just curious if it's got any quicker at all as last year it was literally months, by which time I'd applied for and started a new job 😂
This closing date was only Monday so I won't hold my breath 🙈 x

Hiya, I'm the same! I applied back in Feb and then saw the deadline extension. Seems an aaaage!

5 months!! It's such a long time isn't it, I've never been through such a cattle market process before 😂🙈 exciting that you start soon though!! You'll have to let us know how you get on, i actually don't know anyone that works for the CQC so haven't been able to get any insight at all! Fingers crossed it's the right move for everyone 🤞🏻
If anyone fancied keeping in touch in a WhatsApp group let me know, always nice to have a bit of support (this is me hoping I actually get through through the process 😂) x

I wouldnbe soo keen for this. Happy to dm my number!

Omg!!! I've just seen that they've reposted all the inspector roles with an extended closing date of June 30th!!!! Suurreellyy that doesn't mean we have to wait until then? 😩

Omg wow! It might be worth emailing the recruitment team to ask them. Wow that is a long time another 3 months!!!

I emailed them and they've just replied!

'Longlisting is ongoing at the moment for all applications received by the original closing date. We will be in touch as soon as we can with the outcome of your application.'

I'm not sure whether that means we will have to wait until June or not?? 😂🙈

@MyCraftyCat @Rachandmickey@iosc2418 @Mary322 the thread seems to have gone quiet. Hope you're all doing well. Anyone else heard back yet??? Xx

No progress for me. Not sure what's this about, as I haven't had any clarification about what's going on, but they have been reassuring that my application it's still active. I've been quiet because I wanted to give myself a brake, this has been psychologically exhausting 🤣 but I'm sure I'm the exception though, there must be some kind of logistical issues in my area (midlans) as the job has not been re advertised at all since the closing date
Still interesting in connecting with others so if you set up zoom, whatsapp etc I'm in.
Genuinely happy for everyone's success and fingers crossed for who's still waiting!!

Hi all. Just had a read through this thread and found it very helpful. I've been shortlisted for the role of regulatory co-ordinator. It's a fairly new role and I'm having trouble finding much information online. Does anyone have any insight? Interview tips are welcome!

Just to let you know that they've replied to me to clarify that they will be 'longlisting' and contacting those that have already applied and we won't have to wait until the extended closing date in June! Phew 😅

Ah wow so they are really stretched out. I guess it will be a while before we find out 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

I will do! I’m so nervous about this presentation thing!

TheWhiteRose · 07/04/2025 16:26

I had my interview last week Tuesday and I heard back to today that I was unsuccessful. They offer feedback which is good, just awaiting a response.

Jephrito · 08/04/2025 08:32

I also applied for ASC london and East of England. Did my RTW using the link and have an appointment booked for Thursday 10th April to check my passport then get passed onto Onboarding.

Mrsmiddie · 08/04/2025 18:25

I had my interview for regulatory coordinator yesterday and was told that they are interviewing for 4 weeks! So it will be at least that long to hear back. I’m glad they were upfront about it though.

Oh wow 4 weeks! How did you find the interview? I'm from a healthcare background so I've been trying to link my experience to the skills mentioned in the job description.

The people who interviewed me were so lovely!
It was less nerve wracking than I was expecting, they made me feel at ease.

Im from a social care background, I tried to take a few minutes to think after the question was asked and they were fine with me writing them as they asked them.

Hi all, please could I be added to a WhatsApp group? I am from the midlands- applied in November 2024, assessment in December, interview end of Jan 2025, successful in Feb 2025 and only just been told that I am awaiting to onboard! Does anyone know how long the onboarding process can take? I was told that they have a backlog! I am desperate to hand in my 2 month notice at my current role
