CQC interview

Hello!
I am a usual Mumsnetter, but changed username.

I had an interview with CQC for a inspector role just over two weeks ago, they said they'd be in touch either way by end of last week or beginning of this week. The portal says my application is "in review" and no change since before interview.

How long shall I give it until I follow up, or shall I even follow it up at all? It's a job I've wanted for a while but I'm unsure of what the realistic timescales are with these sorts of organisations!

Thanks

Hello and welcome!
Have you completed your written assessments yet? If so, have you been successful for interview? Which region did you apply for? I have also applied for Adult Social Care, however South Region.

I could be wrong, however I think shortlisting has been completed now for written assessments. Have you checked your application in the online portal, what does it say?

Jesupikin · 21/01/2025 20:15

I have just gotten their email that I have been shortlisted to take the written test, it’s just a job offer I am open to trying but I wanted to know what the written test is like and also for people who have started the role I want to know how flexible the role is

Hello all.
Sorry to jump on.
I was told mid December I was successful at interview and I would be updated within 4 weeks with news of if there is an immediate vacancy in my area. Still waiting though unfortunately.
Would anyone have any ideas?

Good luck, let us know how you get on.
interview tips wise, I'm still waiting to hear back from written assessment.

just some general interview tips -

  • read through the job description and person specification beforehand as they will most likely ask you what made you apply for the role.
  • make sure you mention any previous relevant experience you have and transferable skills.
  • think of some questions you could ask at the end, I feel like employers like this as makes them aware you're genuinely interested and eager for the role.
  • be confident and be yourself! 😊

Same. Have you followed up via email at all? I'm waiting for their response at the moment but was thinking of ringing but I suppose there's no update since they haven't been in touch..

Definitely give them a call. I tried emailing but had no response. I called and had a phone call back within an hour with a job offer.

Babyboy2019 · 29/01/2025 18:10

How long after interview did you find out if successful or not? Xx

Just be aware they are a toxic place to work. Look after your mental health.
