@Pinksville My mother used the phrase 'beggars can't be choosers'; however it was when my dad was on a naval ship 'up the Gulf' serving for our country and the money from him had not reached her. My mother did what she could under the circumstances and food was always on the table ... sometimes me and my sister did not like the food put on the table; Hence, 'Beggars cannot be choosers' ,,, there was #no begging. My mother also used to say 'people at the front should sit down and let those at the back have a say'!!!! Many phrases like that - 'life can sometimes take extraodinary turns' was another. SOooo true.

@pinksville: Another one of my mum's sayings 'do not judge a book by it's cover for you know not what lays between the lines and pages in between' hahahahaha

@Pinksville: Also 'people in glass houses should never throw stones because you never know when a boulder is going to hit your glass house' Quite insightly my mother ... I misss her greately.

@danblack87 Yes my grandmother used the saying "beggars can't be choosers" (when we didn't like the veg 😂)
Personally, if someone was in front of me saying how rough there lot was in life, I would not use that saying to comfort them !

yes, I know what it feels like to lose your Mum. My Mum had ovarian cancer (one of the reasons I chose to work for DICT8) and I looked after her for three years until the end. Miss her every single day.

@pinksville: We clearly have the same views and respects for ALL in society. Empathy and respect and YES anyone working in the medical field must have that ability (others, the medical professionals, carers, secretaries 'ad infinitum' .... 'beggars cannot be choosers' in this field of work is not an applicable term. Sorry to hear about your mum. My dad cared for my mum who died of bowel/bladder/womb cancer. My daughter's father died of a brain tumour aged 44 ... I was his carer

How is work today for everyone?

Busy since early this morning, have just finished and still showing 20+tasks but I've had enough for today

Been fairly steady today but as per usual dictation dire

I don't want to tempt fate but it does seem to have picked up slightly recently.

I was not able to work today ... how was it? Hoping for a good day tomorrow

Different day same shite..looks like Im flavour of the week for the feedback rota. Thought they were done with me... for blinking 8p a line , no sick/holiday pay they 'aving a laugh wanting perfection

Anyone having trouble downloading April invoice, I keep getting gobbledegook !!🙄

@cathyk2002 nope, my invoice looks okay.

Got it on lappie, now working on phone where I usually download it from

@cathyk2002 Put mine in on the 1st of May ... no problems .... paid on 2nd of May

Yep, mine put in on 30th and paid 1st but when I try to download invoice on my phone, it's all coded but OK on lappie. It's always my phone I use for that though 🙄

Quiet but not so now, just can't keep up with workload today !!!!!

Had a bad headache all night and most of today so didn't do anything till 2pm, when tasks were in there's, just finished now and tasks now at 74 !!!!! Making up for the Bank Holiday then

Where on earth can i find the actual help guide... Not user guide. I cant see it anywhere

Its been very quiet on here. I hope you are all ok and managing to get some decent transcriptions through. My specialities have been busy but a mixed bag on how good the dictation has been.

@YellowBellyLola . There have plenty of tasks on in my specialities but, unfortunately, I could understand only 3 of them. Absolutely dire.

Anyone else noticed their work is getting checked a lot more recently?

@astra9 Yes, mine is getting checked at the same time every night and has been for over six weeks !!!!! + some bizarre feedback too, wondering if this is AI

@Pinksvilles Not just me then! Yeah it seems to be every task at the moment. That's so strange you get it at the same time.
