Don't think I have ever seen 7000 tasks in one hit on DICT8. My task list had over 150 one minute then 15 the next and stayed at 15 for hours ??? All I know is that when it was at 150 there were plenty of English speaking doctors then when it went down to 15 for hours all were foreign ?????

I have never seen that many tasks either. Also the system is so frustrating in that when you have three or more specialties you tend to get the rubbish tasks hogging the list, as the better ones are picked off before they even appear in your list 😩

I am sure they are checking every single task - I typed five yesterday, four were checked and I got the 'thank you' email, thought I'd got away with the fifth one, but oh no, that came back with a telling off as I had typed something in a different way than they would have - you can guarantee if I type one it gets checked and if I type 30, they all get checked......talk about giving folk a complex!!

To any Tpro workers on here have you noticed how the work ha# dropped drastically ?

... and why don't they ask these blood doctors to speak properly and my mega annoyance at the moment dictating diagnosis when it should be diagnoses. Don't ask, it's been one of those days 😂

Re the critical messages - I have had one every day now during the past week. So irritating - one said too many carriage returns on paragraphs - so I did less paragraphs next time but then told off for too few paragraphs!! Then there were words which I had not hyphenated before but told they should be hyphenated- so did as requested when the word appeared again and then admonished that it was not necessary! I think the proof readers do it on purpose to justify their existence but not singing from the same sheet

@nomadchild yes, work has been gradually getting less and less with Tpro the last few weeks but really bad last Friday and this Monday, picked up a little today but not in my specialties

I wonder if VR/AI is now stealing our jobs, with most of it being done in house??? T-pro have been developing and promoting it according to their website. Perhaps AI is now proofreading and not humans. It could also explain why much of the dictation on DICT8 is so bad, as VR/AI would probably struggle with it, hence it gets shipped out to DICT8.

@Whitestar55I believe they're using AI for proof-reading. As I said before some of the proofreaders comments are eerily similar to what Grammarly advises ! I had to proofreader the proofreader the other day, stating that we actually live in the UK not America !!!

I hope everyone is having a better day today. Mine is personally rubbish. Work there but practically non-decipherable. I believe more work is being checked by proof readers (or should that be proof-readers LOL) as there is not a lot of work to be checked ... hence more time to check EVERYONE's work!!!!

I'm having a bad day too. I want to get out of this game and never do it again. I don't even want to work in NHS admin at all again.

It's just no longer feasible to spend time re-listening, researching and typing reams in the notes box. They can stick it!

It has been pretty dire on Dict8 the last couple of weeks. Not very many letters coming on, the odd ones every 20 minutes or even two hours at one point today. It does seems to be getting less and less as the weeks go on. Will be even quieter with the Dr's strikes coming up tomorrow for five days. I don't feel it is a very viable way to earn money now.

I seem to have work in my specialities but am reluctant to do any as every single task seems to be scrutinised

I haven't done any for months now. I am 66 in April, hurrah

@Deniserew I take it you get your pension at 66 😊

I can't believe with 4 specialties on my list and I've had hardly anything all week. Oddly, it seems to have been the same mumbly doctor all day with about 1 or 2 letters every hour or so. If that doctor is uploading where are all the others? I'm wondering if the relevant Trust has installed VR and the rest of them are using that, but still can choose dict8. It doesn't bode well for the future. I too @Deniserew am 66 1st May and I thought this would be a nice addition to my pension. Not looking likely now 😕

In my dreams my feedback goes something along these lines -

Dear transcriber, thank you for your hard work. We noticed you took a good few minutes of a 30 second task to decipher that crap and managed to get three words right 👏. We believe this is a magnificent achievement since the quality was absolute shit. The doctor had no idea what he/she were talking about and was clearly unable to even spell out the drug names/diagnosis/diagnoses correctly. Well done you superhero for enduring that munching sound, slurping and overall disgustingness. And for all your trouble this week let us give you a massive financial bonus and medal you Queen of the qwerty keyboard 🎉

Lovemydaxie I hoped a top up too but not to be. I have better things to do with my time than being told how to do my job by someone who is probably young enough to be my daughter. A lifetime working in the NHS and it's come to this? No thank you.

Was it a storm before the lull? I had loads of work over the weekend, mainly by the same very clear and consise Dr who was a pleasure to type for! Today nothing so far but I expect the strike will have an impact this week!!

Tpro has dropped off a Cliff 2 hospitals had nothing today and the others between them 28 letters. We did get an email reassuring us the work is still there and nothing wrong with system. I still managed to earn my usual but no longer can pick and choose. Hopefully will pick up. Any other Tpro workers on here concerned as I am?

@nomadchild - I have six hospitals plus backlog and yesterday morning all were standing at 0 letters. If you check out the Tpro thread we are all worried and have been for the past few weeks.

@Gally123 what is the Tpro thread called I wasn’t aware there was one. They keep saying their numbers are the same and there’s lots in pending but it’s not coming to us is it going to AI ? Seriously contemplating going back into the NHS.

@Gally123 just opened up now and there are only 8 across my 6 hospitals and backlog which I’ve done so now nothing at 8.45 but why does our pending email each morning say 5000 plus tasks ??
