I put my invoice in on 2nd of Jan and money (for what it was worth - less that £40) was in my bank within an hour. Happy New Year all.

Gally123 · 05/01/2024 16:52

My turn it seems to get the nonsense feedback. The other day it was the usual one about paragraphs (whereas with Tpro the guidelines is for three paragraphs only in the whole letter, although I have never been pulled up for putting in more). Today DICT8 says not to put capital letters on drugs - but I read the email three times and there is no example given, so I can only assume it is one of their feedback for the sake of feedback or the checker trying to up her rate and gain some sort of bonus/brownie points. I can only assume if my work is not quoted for the mistake - then I did not make it! (not bothering to tell DICT8 that as only get a sh*tty reply from her who must not be named).

Lovemydaxie · 05/01/2024 17:11

@Gally123 I thought it was lower case for generic drug names and capital for brand name drugs, such as aspirin and Anadin. They don't tell you in a nice way though do they, so aggressive and really puts your back up. I just ignore them now because it's difficult to know which file they are referring to days after you have typed it.

Gally123 · 05/01/2024 17:18

@Lovemydaxie yes that's what I thought, however if they email you with "feedback" but omit what you are supposed to have done - normally they write "you typed" then "it should be" but there was none of that today just this "advice"! so rather pointless sending an email. DICT8 feedback just gets worse.

cathyk2002 · 05/01/2024 17:28

I'm on a week of being checked for silly typos but did not red flag them with spellcheck. If you compare to amount of work (lines) done, it was minimal, so rather than being a workaholic which I am guilty of, I am sitting on my hands & trying not to do so much, only pin money for me as a pensioner

Billybea · 05/01/2024 17:34

@Gally123 they can't generalise and ask you not to put drugs in capitals because as mentioned before, brand names drugs are always capitalised and I'm sure you would get pulled up for that if you didn't do it! Generic however are lower as stated.

Gally123 · 05/01/2024 17:40

@Billybea - my point is that they did not quote what error I was supposed to have made - so why bother sending the feedback? They might just have well have said "here is some advice - remember to include today's date on the letter."

Whitestar55 · 05/01/2024 20:45

No more than 3 paragraphs, sometimes it's relevant to do more. Got to laugh at the micromanagement, plus they forget we are freelancers and that they are not supposed to tell us how to do the work to that extent. I also note Dict8 have reworded some of their feedback now as 'advice'.

And I so noticed that when they do their private work they use brand name drugs. So are you meant to type them all in lower case....Barmy people

A Happy New Year all .....onwards and upwards 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️

Pinksville · 06/01/2024 09:30

@Gally123 I had same ridiculous "advice" as well about who knows what as that was omitted. Some "advice to DICT8" if you are going to "advise" please state what you are "advising" me about.

Somebody needs to proofread the proofreaders !!!

Chrissols · 06/01/2024 15:14

@Pinksville I totally agree, the proofreaders need checking as they don’t sing from the same hymn sheet, no wonder we get things wrong.

cathyk2002 · 07/01/2024 11:27

And don't trust the spell checker to get it right either drug wise pivmecillinum is lower case but I went with spell checker where it us capital 'P' ...... wrong & despite being told the spell checker is checked & corrected periodically, I've not noticed any changes since June !!!!

Whitestar55 · 08/01/2024 11:08

Are T-Pro recruiting at the moment?

OP posts:
Gally123 · 08/01/2024 11:15

@Whitestar55 currently this morning I am sitting twiddling my thumbs - no work! Less than 10 tasks on the system this morning when I first logged on. A few new letters dribbled in - now nothing, on any of my 4 main matched hospitals. There has been more work on DICT8 this morning. So not sure if they are recruiting as not much to offer people.

It has been getting less and less work for a while now, possibly they took on too many new workers, or system issues again, often I see only 2 letters in a morning for clinics I used to do 20 or 30 regularly.

deewu · 08/01/2024 11:16

@Gally123 @Whitestar55 Also they appear to have had very few clinics running between Christmas and New Year which has not helped!!

Gally123 · 08/01/2024 11:19

@deewu yep, due to being mainly RC country I think so everything shut down.
