@Doglover61 T-pro seems to be the best of these companies to apply to according to what others on here have said. Also contacting the NHS Trusts directly to see if they offer work from home, and at least the pay is fair with them. Transcription companies are all exploitation merchants.

@Doglover61 tried a few but they seem to be all as ignorant as DICT8 unfortunately

The work is soul destroying today, I feel like I'm living in the Victorian era because my hourly rate is working out soooooo low.

@Whitestar55 Why oh why won't they give us an update as to what the hell is going on......there is definitely something amiss, or do they just plan on doing what a lot of other companies have done, fold overnight owing people money.....

I have done 10 letters today and most of them are the RTX ones which, at the best of times, are not very good dictation. I have put my CV in to T-pro but it is the wrong time of year now to be applying for stuff. Dict8 just seem to put the odd few letters on, then for the rest of the day it is like one letter every 15 minutes or on some days one letter every hour and a half. I can see this company going down the pan now they have lost the GSTT contract. The really bad thing is keeping people in the dark about the dire situation they seem to be in. No point emailing them as they just come up with some bullshit that isn't even the truth!

I've been exceptionally busy this week. Most are from Lancs, Cumbria areas though and a few RTX

I was going to do a bit today, but listening to the quality of dictation have decided to wrap presents instead.......and I hate wrapping 🥴🥴🥴

There are three on here with my specialty and all of them are so bad, even slowing the dictation down has not made any difference whatsoever. Good luck to whoever tries to decipher them!

Is it this week the Doctors are striking ??

The strikes are 20 to 23rd Dec and 3rd to 9th of January. It will be even more dead on Dict8 then.

oh my - as far as I know you just put in notes box as per template: AND I quote 'if a doctor has dictated a number of letters on a single task, please separate them with the following NEXT LETTER 2, NEXT LETTER 3, etc and put a comment in the Notes Box regarding the total number of letters in total. In the box regarding hospital number etc it is just Multiple/Misc whatever it says .... I can't remember ... it's a long time since I did multiple letters on a task!!!!!!

@Chrissols yep, from 07.00 weds 20/12 to 07.00 sat 23/12 and 07.00 weds 3/1 to 07.00 weds 9/1.

OK, emails to say lots of work on the system, 99.9% of dictations absolutely horrendous, what do they expect for 8p a line?!

@Newinmarch22 yep having the same - work but it's all cr*p.

Hardly any work on mine today. Don't think I have had an email about loads of work for last couple of months or so since I recently found out about them losing the GSTT contract. Get work from up north and Nottingham occasionally but that is it. Most of it came from the London Hospitals.

Has anyone tried putting in an invoice recently for less than their stated monthly earned limit of £50? This was the directive when I started with them over 10 years ago but not sure if they have changed this.

I had one last week was looking through notes for something it went like....dum di dum dum di dum dum dum etc (interspersed with pages turning then) ........... oh, bollocks !!!!! 🤣🤣🥰🥰
