@Billybea : The best I managed was to type the date followed by ALT N 'no dictation on this task' i.e. I only picked up the ones that were 1-3 seconds long 'cos the rest were in decipherable LOL ... Type date + ALT N 'Note to sec: DNA - discharge letter please' FFS

@Billybea : You would not believe it ...#feedback for my nothing day 'I didn't type the RE line ????nothing was dictated just 'DNA send a discharge letter which I sent on ALT N /// apparently I should have typed RE ALT N : note sec - no patient ID given!!!! That is just a million steps too far on micro-managing as far as I am concerned.

@Billybea : you want 2 notes at payment to me for nothing pay-wise!!!! I was so fucked off.

@danblack87 oh my! That's just a step too far! 🙈 When I've had blank dictation I type the date, followed by "Dear" then "Re"'then "yours sincerely" just to get paid, then I do a Note stating blank dictation, and that's even too much for pennies!!

@danblack87 oh and I would add "DNA letter" to sec for good measure! 😂

Has anyone had any information re no payment for leaving notes? I queried if we were paid for them, but guess what, no response.

I was told that if note is lengthy to contact Liz to ask if you can get paid for it and she will decide if that's okay to do

@cathyk2002 - that woman is so controlling !!!! sod her, if it doesn't fit on the post-it note in my mind it gets done as a letter 😂

@Pinksville If it is a very lengthy note I address it to the secretary and type it as a memo!!!!

@TypoQueen1 - I left a rather comment on previous thread regarding the conversation I had with them about non-payment of notes to secretary and the legality of whether they could enforce it or insist on certain wording if we are leaving such notes out of the kindness of our hearts in lieu of payment.

@Gally123 did you get a reply? Today's feedback - I should query dictation if not sure about it. The example they gave I did query it!! This feedback is getting more ridiculous by the day.

@TypoQueen1 yes. As mentioned, I posted the conversation, ie my query and the reply I received.

Is it just me or does anyone else feel every single task they do is being checked!? It’s only the ‘thank you for you great work’ email, but seems to be on every flippin task 🥱🥱

yes I'm getting emails stating multiple tasks are being checked

@Pinksville I feel every single one I do is…..makes it very demoralising, as if not trusted to produce a good standard of work……like being back in school. Not gonna bother doing any work for them as I can’t stand these belittling emails.

As someone pointed out the proofreaders are probably struggling with the drop in work load too so having time to check every flipping letter. Dict8 never contact us at any other time, I remember when we used to receive a regular newsletter.

@TypoQueen1 I understand that, but checking everything and grinding folk down should not be allowed - it's bad enough that they get enough done without paying for it, let alone be micromanaged in the process 🙃

Did anyone else have Dict8 crash earlier. Had just finished a long letter then suddenly BOOM !!! Would not take my log in, finally it worked and yes ..... long letter had to be totally redone !! 😡

I've gone on strike today, fed up of waiting for work and constant criticism.

@TypoQueen1 my feelings exactly, it’s just not worth the hassle, how would they like being treat like children!

@cathyk2002 yes I had a minor blip today but didn't lose any work.

I had an ok day the dictation wasn't too bad but sitting around is so annoying.
Anyone heard of Language Empire for transcription work ?

@Pinksville yes I've heard of them, but I think they are more a translation service for interpreters that the police use!

Absolutely nothing all day ?

Been firing off CVs all over the place. I think DICT8 need to give us an update on the situation.

@Pinksville sorry to hear that. For some unknown reason this Wednesday was my busiest afternoon ever! Other days I've been doing nothing! Yes I agree they should really update us, I hope the staff are ok with their jobs.

@Billybea glad to hear you were busy. In my list work was abundant 24/7 no matter the time this is actually as bad as COVID !!!
