Yep, same here, then I get one praising a lot of jobs done !!

@TypoQueen1 I always think when that happens a proof reader is justifying their job, if the work is scarce then their roles will be under threat too. I once had a manager in the nhs who moved 7 people out of a lovely large office with great views into what was a storage cupboard in the clinic area that had no windows no air exchange system and really if was big 3 people all to justify a need for her role. The large office just lay empty. It’s happened to us all, it’s them not you it will pass as others say.

@Gally123 I feel sure some of the proofreaders put the work through Grammarly or something similar. The explanations regarding grammar are verbatim. 🤔

What used to be the busiest day of the week……..not a single task!

I don't go online very often these days so start wondering if work is not coming on my feed because of that - is everyone else getting tasks?

Was going like a fair for me on Wednesday but now like Marie Celeste !!!!

I cannot believe there is no work whatsoever, I have a few specialties and nothing in any of them seems a bit odd.

Used to be busiest day for me too, typed one letter today.

Also signed up with Accuro recently, but not rating them so far.

Seems like we have all been hands slapped for “errors” - mine today was too many carriage returns!!! They obviously have to justify their existence!!!

@Australia25 i got one for same thing for one typed a week ago, then immediately after a thank you one…… I think they are checking every single task at the moment and finding errors where there are none….pathetic really

@FernSky have you managed to do any work for them? I gave up at the first hurdle I'm afraid, too many instructions for my old brain. Also pay pretty bad.

@Australia25 I've been left alone today thank goodness. I queried one comment which made no sense to me and they haven't come back to me, maybe even they can't understand it!

Yes Typoqueen1: I have never been barraged soooooooo much in all my years of working for Dict8 --- it's like micro-managing on a grand scale. The stupid little things. I swear they have ultrasonic sound/volume at their end ,,, okay, I admit a couple of things made sense when pointed out BUT the rest 'Noooooooo, that is not what I heard at this end at all'. Why don't you get rid of outsourcers and just type in-house if you are Sooooooooooo bloody good?????

Still no response to my query; funnily enough there was a typo in their email, maybe I should send them some feedback 🤔

@TypoQueen1 I have had a fair bit of work from Accuro but it is really clunky compared to Dict8 and although the work is fine, having a lot of IT issues and it is slowing me down so much that it doesn't seem worth the hassle.

I have a question. When DICT8 sends their generic Thank you, great stuff etc email, are you meant to reply back with a thank you or does anyone reply back? The email is a little OTT bit like the Youre a Band 4 etc so get it right..🤔

Btw There were countless task on my server all day yesterday all were abominable when refreshed but surprisingly the list did move on pretty quick.

Would never reply to a generic email, in fact I just delete them immediately.
Have had tons of tasks all day yesterday and today and most are absolutely horrendous, just wasting time by refreshing permanently in the hope something will appear that I can understand.

Been slow & steady today, mostly ethnics but some are easier to make out than others

@danblack87 you took the words out of my mouth. Sweet FA all day, a couple of short "hard to deciphers" so I'm having a day off! 😏

I've just gave up but could have gone on as work came in around 3.30 & still some there PHEW been at it since 8ish this morning, always comes in later around teatime when I've given up for today but not today !!!!

I second that.

The crap I've had today is an insult to my ears, eyes, brain and whatever else I can think of 🙄
