Found the new thread, thank you.

Sam197187 · 25/05/2023 09:45

Hey, is anyone still with Outsec?

Chrissols · 25/05/2023 12:54

@Sam197187 I was with them till about two months ago, too many problems with their system, keeps going down so no work. I believe it has been down for a long time again so they will be losing clients hand over fist 🙄

Lunnuni · 25/05/2023 20:24

Hi, glad to find you again. I have written to my MP, who is a Lib Dem. Whitestar55, please could you direct me to your letter to Jon Ashworth and his reply. I saw them mentioned in the old thread but couldn't find the original posts. Thanks for joining me to the thread.

Gally123 · 26/05/2023 07:20

@Lunnuni Whitestar did not write to Jon Ashworth (or anybody) - I did, and then @carosel2 after I posted about my reply.

carosel2 · 26/05/2023 09:29

@Lunnuni - yes it was me who posted my reply. It was on page 40 near the end. @Gally123 started the ball rolling by contacting him first (I believe) and sent us all the info if we wanted to pursue. The email I received is below with the links 😊

Thank you for your email.

Please be assured that your email has been passed to the appropriate colleagues so they may consider the points you have raised in future policy development.

Unfortunately, we cannot advise you on your specific circumstances due to a strict Parliamentary protocol that Members of Parliament can only take up matters on behalf of their own constituents, despite Jonathan’s role as Shadow Secretary of State for Work and Pensions.

We recommend that you contact your local Member of Parliament if you have not already. Regardless of their political views, they can contact the DWP and make representations on your behalf. If you are not sure who your local MP is, you can find them here: https://members.parliament.uk/FindYourMP. All you need is your postcode.

In addition to your local MP, Citizens Advice offer excellent advice on employment rights and may be able to advise you on your situation. You can find your nearest Citizens Advice here: https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/

Thank you once again for contacting Jonathan.

Kind regards,

Office of Rt. Hon. Jonathan Ashworth MP
Shadow Secretary of State for Work and Pensions

Just signed agreement for Dict8 today. Still waiting to hear from T-pro as well 😉😉

cathyk2002 · 31/05/2023 09:58

Got my Dict8 log in today so all set up. No jobs showing - when is best time to log in for some work & do they match the speciality to you ??

Off the read the user manual in the sun for now😎

cathyk2002 · 31/05/2023 11:12

What to do if you can't make out patient name ?

Lovemydaxie · 31/05/2023 13:40

@cathyk2002 just type the name phonetically. If it is completely indecipherable you can add a note in the note box saying unable to hear name. They don't usually pull you up for mistyping names, but at first it might be worth putting a note on to cover yourself as they will be scrutinising your work to start with.

cathyk2002 · 31/05/2023 15:12

Ok, thanks. Done some today that sounded clear when previewed to get back into it all

cathyk2002 · 31/05/2023 16:49

Well, some feedback on the few I did today - not too bad generally & what I would expect being new to this system & I am aware that every Secretary works differently.

I was taught 3 paragraphs per letter - first with complaint, second with examination, third with outcome but did a few where I was told new paragraph for every bleeding sentence 🙄 Hard not to do it way I was taught but hey ho, onwards & upwards😉

sijacks05 · 31/05/2023 16:56

They are very picky with you to start. Don't get demoralised. I nearly packed it in after my first few sessions with the feedback. It's hard as very experienced secretaries to adhere to the rules but after a while, they'll leave you alone. I've not done any for a while as diagnosed carpal tunnel so been resting hands!

Lovemydaxie · 31/05/2023 19:19

Yes, take the feedback with a pinch of salt. They will eventually leave you alone.

cathyk2002 · 31/05/2023 20:07

Water off a duck's back 😅

Pinksville · 01/06/2023 17:53

Whilst waiting for my application with T-Pro to progress unfortunately still having to wade through some of the most inaudible crap ever today and to add to my annoyance, only made a pittance 😡

Newinmarch22 · 02/06/2023 11:05

Totally agree with you. Despite their update email about the quality of the dictation, to me it seems to be getting worse
