Hi all, has anyone else started a new thread yet?

@Frazzledbynature and @Indiepops Good luck with your claims, they don't make things easy do they.

DICT8 work is very sparse today, time to get the CV revamped I think. Lottery tickets all duds, not working properly 😂😥

Gally123 · 25/10/2022 10:45

@Whitestar55 yes, was sparse yesterday - half term holiday and all the consultants on leave and cancelled clinics I think. Would have been private schools on half term last week as well.

Whitestar55 · 25/10/2022 10:50

@Gally123 Yes I wondered if half term was having an effect, but I also wonder if they are losing clients to other companies, as many of the old Trusts seem to have disappeared, with just a couple of new ones like RTX 🤔😞

Thanks Whitestar55, the claim has recently come through. Its a bit of a double edged sword as you can only get carer's allowance if you earn under a certain amount lol - but its help gratefully received as hubby's been on SSP for 6 months too. Life is not easy at present lol

Thanks Whitestar, I never even thought about half term, we will see better next week I guess. I'm glad of the break, I log in for 30 mins and give up to get on with other things now.

I'm lucky as in my monthly figure falls under the allowance basic limit to the point I could increase it lol but without it I'd have to change things a lot around here and my son needs me more hence quitting.

I'm panicking a bit as both him and my husband had to go through fighting for their claims and diagnosis to get the help/financial assistance they needed. Drove me to panic attacks one day when I hung on telephone for an hour then it hung up. I paid for that, they since made it free. Lucky I was working, imagine if they did that and you weren't.

My hubby was a great support when I met him and sorted him out, with me working full time calling was very difficult.

Chrissols · 27/10/2022 09:51

Just back off hols and still no tasks available, what is going on?

marieingham · 27/10/2022 11:13

Out of common courtesy you would think they would issue some sort of bulletin or notification to their loyal typists. If they're going down the pan then at least we can prepare and look for something else, but I guess just saying nothing sums up what type of company they are :-(

Whitestar55 · 27/10/2022 12:39

@Chrissols Some of us have concluded that they are struggling with competition from the more tech savvy companies providing a service that integrates better with the clients' systems. 🤔

@Chrissols Hope you had a good holiday by the way!

Chrissols · 27/10/2022 12:40

@Whitestar55 I have never seen it this quiet, even during the pandemic, it is very concerning isn't it.

Chrissols · 27/10/2022 12:41

@Whitestar55 Had a lovely holiday thank you, went to Rhodes 😎

Whitestar55 · 27/10/2022 12:53

I've had enough work to keep me going, but it's less than usual, plus more of the dictation is having to go in the note box than ever before, for example - instructions to copy and paste xxx, delete the line that says bla bla bla etc, meaning you have to type a whole sentence from the previous letter in the note box. It's getting ridiculous!

OP posts:
nomadchild · 27/10/2022 13:38

@marieingham my thoughts exactly, to just say nothing is awful. There were 4 letters today in one of my specialties I do 5 and none at 5.00pm last night. The only time I remember it like this was at the start of the first lockdown in March/April 2020 before they organised virtual clinics in the trusts. I think they are in big trouble.

nomadchild · 27/10/2022 13:40

Also just looked at 13.40 and there are only 3letters in across 2 of my 5 specialities, something going down.

Workingfromhomenow · 27/10/2022 17:03

@nomadchild I have four specialties and they have been very busy recently (well, at least two of them have been). This is the first day that there have been fewer letters to type. I do hope they’re not in trouble as really rely on the income.

Cherryblossom114 · 27/10/2022 18:18

I have enough to keep going but they do seemed to get clear very quickly, gets the big recruitment drive has paid off for them and it is also the half term hols.

Whitestar55 · 28/10/2022 15:04

0 Tasks! Not known this for a while. How is it for everyone else?

OP posts:
Gally123 · 28/10/2022 15:12

@Whitestar55 a few tasks, mostly a steady stream today, (ie about 20ish) but other than first thing, few poor quality. Yesterday there were a few instances of 0 tasks. Has been as high as 70 this week. Mostly RTX dictation but I have spotted a couple of Swindon and also Preston/Blackpool etc, and Marsden, St Georges, but not seen any from Kent and Canterbury for a while. I know they were dabbling in VR.

Whitestar55 · 28/10/2022 15:17

@Gally123 Thanks, yes pretty much the same pattern for me. I really think it's time to put eggs in more than one basket.

OP posts:
sijacks05 · 28/10/2022 16:40

I've been on for the first time in a while. I only have one speciality but all new dictators today who I've not heard before and the quality was absolutely rubbish 😒. Was thinking about asking for another speciality but now not so sure!

Newinmarch22 · 28/10/2022 16:46

Hardly any ophthalmology at all for a few weeks now. What dictation there is is all very poor quality. Not had any from East Kent Hospitals for quite a few months now, mostly all RTX and a few private clinics

joewe41 · 31/10/2022 10:07

@sijacks05 You could try e-mailing and asking but if you haven't worked for a particular specialty in a while they won't oblige. I only had one specialty and they wouldn't give me another. This month I made £20 because every time I look there is nothing on the system. There was very little at start of month and nothing since. I'll stick with Tpro I think.

Frazzledbynature · 31/10/2022 10:10

I've just submitted my invoice, no work on to add to it today. I'm usually submitting days early and i'm £50 down, quite a lot when you rely on it. I'm just hoping now that the carers allowance is accepted. That way i need only a rough £70 to make up my monthly money but it means i can look into other avenues as another " basket".

Hope it picks up though for you all. x

Chrissols · 01/11/2022 12:31

Not a single task today - is this going to be it now do we think?

TypoQueen1 · 01/11/2022 13:42

Hopeless, would be nice to hear from them .......
