Pay with DICT8 Extra Plus

As DICT8 refuse to even consider paying us by BACS I changed bank to LLoyds where I can scan my cheque in at home via online banking rather than traipse all the way into town to pay it in. I have found that I am able to draw on the money within 24 hours and I think its because its a Coutts cheque the cream of the banking world (the Queens bankers). Just a tip in case anyone is fed up waiting a week for their cheque and then another 4/5 days for it to clear.

@nomadchild im with lloyds and i love this feature its always in the next working day, not sure about today me uploading we will see maybe be monday now but i do like lloyds for this reason

Postman just been, cheque still not arrived! Joke!

@Newinmarch22 is it usually fast? i never usually like time how long it takes to process then send then for me to arrive but i have wrote this months down and will see if i can get a pattern for the future.

I'm with Lloyds and scanned my cheque before 10pm yesterday but it says deposited 5/8 and not available 6/8. I've queried it with Lloyds because their website info states it will be next day if deposited before 10pm but they so far can't or won't answer the question.

@deflatedbirthday i think you will see it in before that check it after 5 today sometimes the date is off and also sometimes i dont get an alert that it is available to me until a few days after i know its cleared. just keep an eye on it

@Lindsaychad123 : For the long notes re. 'do this, that and the other - which are long I am going with you on this one ... we no how it works so they will be typed as a memo/note in the future because it is becoming all to frequent and is an abuse of the 'note box' available AND we all know that the PA/sec would prefer it that way!!!

@Lindsaychad123 : Anyway if we do it this way - long notes as a memo Dict8 get paid too (I am sure Dict8 do not get paid for anything in the notes box either - surely they must know that - it benefits 3-ways.

Notes box is fine if it is just: 'no dictation on this task', '?drug name', '?patient name', '? dictation unclear' or ? other!!!

Dict8 cheque, submitted Monday, received today, only marked as processed yesterday, first time its been this long to get to me apart from my first one. Are they feeling the pinch too?

I use Barclays and they also have the option of scanning in through the app or it wouldn't be worth me travelling to a bank every month give cost of fuel and location of nearest branch now they've closed so many - reduculous archive way of paying workers.

@danblack87 the date thing was my mistake and here's why.. the bullet point was their email bullet point. So the part where it usually states "you typed this!" followed by another point to "should be this" they actually left a blank line! Now that is absolutely hilarious if you wouldn't be so annoyed at the actual statement lol.

Dictation i refuse can sit there, i just log out and go clean up or type a chapter of the book i'm doing. If i'm lucky the typing is moving along but its like there's not enough work lately. I should have the words "feast or famine" written in my signature or something.

Notes: Here's a suggestion. make a note to secretary please note the following dictation as a memo. leave it at that and type out below in the main body. kerching! :D When they start to question it tell them why and state if they don't like it query the costings.

I have taken on the work with this other place PPM, the money isnt great but neither is dict8 and it means im on two sets of books and hopefully my days are fuller, they do give you information such as patient names and actual templates to type on so i will see what happens.
@danblack87 the note thing anything over what u said like queries is going in the main txt and they can question it i guess. the cheque thing is mad why not pay bacs surely doing that on the 1st of each month is mad.

I usually request a cheque once a month from Dict8. If I request one part way through the month will they do that? Or will it upset them?

@deflatedbirthday I often request middle of the month, or beginning, or end - they don't seem to mind - in fact, middle of the month it sometimes comes the next day....

Thanks! I'm planning on pulling a few long days (audio depending!) for some holiday spends!

Do they not mind you doin the 1st then the middle or should it only b once per month cause a few long days and a middle
payment would help a lot but don’t want them to get annoyed

DICT8 have such contempt for us, cannot even be bothered to ensure payment for work done up front is made in the fastest way possible i.e. BACs. I don't care about their blood Coutts fancy cheques, I want my hard earned money paid to me like everyone else in the 21st century !!!!

Clearly the new system was smoke and mirrors, as expected !!!!

@Frazzledbynature your feedback was hilarious. I await next feedback. When I type out the next long instructions I shall put in the notes box 'Memo to sec re. admin instructions!!!!

@Frazzledbynature @danblack87 it's a good idea - the responsibility goes back to the secretary (who it's aimed at) and no room for error or misunderstanding the note left by us (that, if not incredibly detailed i.e. spoon feeding the admin, we get destroyed for)

@Meha5a @Frazzledbynature : I once put in the notes box: 'Note to Sec@ please hear instructions at this point'. I had feedback from Dict8 that I should have typed out in the notes box what was said!!! I thought it pointless. So, since then I have dutifully filled out the notes box. However, my feelings at this time are that I shall type in the 'Notes box': Note to Sec - please see memo for further instructions!!! That way we the transcribers get paid for it, Dict8 get paid for it and the Secretary does not have to relisten to the instructions because they don't trust the notes box!!

@Frazzledbynature when typing "power to 9/L" I put the 9 in () as in 10(9)/L. sorry for the late reply but mumsnet stopped sending the notifications.

I put my invoice in late 31 July , it says the cheque was issued on Sunday but still not received it yet!

@Gally123 is there a problem with your post delivery? You do seem to have problems with the length of time from issued to delivery - mine is always here in a day or two - the problem I have is the quality of dictation to make a cheque worth having 😾😾
