How long does it take to process a bloody invoice ??????

Yet again struggling to get the pennies rolling in as the dictation is so bad, either short and sweet or long and disjointed when they dictate. Had a nurse this morning so annoyed with a GP that she was shouting when dictating the GP action in the letter as if he was in front of her, manners please ! It is just a bit soul destroying at present.

i found the same with the invoice this month @Meha5a took forever was finally done today.

is it just me or is the notes for drs secretary etc getting longer than what we are actually getting paid to type for

I submitted Friday, was processed Monday but still not received. I really do not understand why they cannot pay us by BACS.

@Frazzledbynature : I was told always to put the date at the top and then if nothing else follow by a note!!

you would think bacs would be easier?

I sent my invoice on Monday and cheque received today. I don't think there is anyone in the Dict8 office to process invoices on a weekend I have noted previously.

:@Lindsaychad123 : I find that the notes to the sec/PA are longer if the patient is a private patient ... Note: Add to WL for >>>>, + costs >>> + send info xxxxx

@Lindsaychad123 : I think if the notes to a PA are specific it should be in a memo to Sec/PA: typed and not in the notes box

@Lindsaychad123 : Lengthy notes should be typed in a memo to a PA ... I used to work for private consultants, so I know. Print out the memo rather than write down scrappy notes from a 'notes box' - print the memo, put it in the in-tray and deal with it L8R after finishing transcription makes more sense

@danblack87 yeah i was the same when i worked for the nhs i worked for 4 consultants at one time so it was easier to book all appointments at the same time, or all their emails at the same time so i printed everything and put into my in tray to deal with at the one time . I just feel like Dict8 is getting harder to type for and i have typed for some very hard to make out consultants in the past

@Lindsaychad123 @danblack87 if the note is longer than what could fit on a post-it then it goes in letter form - they can send as many emails ticking me off, but I still get paid for it 😁

Most of the letters I am doing are now in note form. The person starts off male and becomes female (or vice-versa), drug names are not pronounced properly, mg are dictated instead of mcg !!!! and medical terminology, if not known, is mumbled or slurred through. What are you supposed to do with all that ? It is really hard to have a good tempo of typing to earn money if the letter is crap. I sit there typing in a confused state most of the time 🙄wondering what the hell is going on !!!! What makes it worse is DICT8 give you no wriggle room. I often wonder what the addressee makes of this utter garbage !!

yeah it is very much like notes and we need to put them together which isnt always easy, i have noticed that myself if the person dictating the letter isnt sure it is mumbled through i wish they would look and spell it out. Also names its the same if they dont know how to say it without fumbling through how on earth are we supposed to know it would be so easy to spell it. @Meha5a think i am going to start typing the longer notes out as it is getting ridiculous now

I've actually not even looked for the past couple of days what work is available - it has been so bad lately it hasn't been worth it when there are other companies with better dictation and rates of pay

Has anyone got a clue about foot pedals? I’ve tried plugging it in, doesn’t work, I’ve tried downloading the software in the download page nothing works and it’s driving me mad. Should it just work when plugged in?

Tried using foot pedal when I first started but could not get it to work, don't know why, so just gave up.
Dictation is getting worse every day, despite the email from Dict8 saying it is better! Kept logging on the other day and typed my first letter in the evening it was so dire. Most days can't get past the first five letters, its so frustrating.

@Raisingboys22 Hi did you update your profile to say you had a foot pedal on the system? That was my downfall when I recently tried to install one. Works fine now :)

Its under transcription settings.

Often when you install something you then need to close down and restart for the new item to kick in so to speak. I’m assuming you have one of the makes that they state are compatible with their system.

Will the quality of the dictation ever pick up - first time on today this week and still five blocking everything - absolutely unbelievable how bad it has got 😣😣
